    Oh shit, the secrets out......My Old man aka Father, was doing all sorts of art as such, in the 70's to 90's...... his paint jobs were amazing........Gone but never forgotten. You work is just as amazing.

    Fantastic work: now imagine if you filled and levelled it with epoxy resin so it had a smooth finish but all that depth !

    Yes it does, its fiberglass filler essentially. You mix it and apply the same way as filler. I've used it to fill a gap in a guys body kit on his car before. The side skirts were way to short so I cut them in half and used some mesh wire and that stuff and it worked great.

      hey cool! i watch brush vids since today, an old friend of mine gave me his complete equipment, so i want to learn. we are all biker. landstuhl, near ramstein air base, i have never been there, but who knows, maybe one day ;-)
      now i will practise much with the guns, hope to get good enough to brush our bikes. this odin portrait ( my avatar ) i made by myself and the zebra at my google site. you are inspireing me to try 3d. really great, you dont see something like this art very often here. sorry for my bad english, i learned in school 30 years ago ;-)

    Cool idea and looks sweet. Good job. You may run into cracking in the filler though later because how thick it is. Perhaps marglass would be a good alternative to build it up then a skim coat with filler to finish it out for a stronger product. Just an opinion.

    its a nice job,is it a rider? if so are you thinking it will crack or flake off in big chunks from vibrations?..still looks good.

      this tank was done in 2011…she rides it on the weekends, occasionally during the week, and stores it outside with a motorcycle cover…no cracks or problems with the paint. I live in Florida so heat and heavy rains are the most extreme conditions that it has been in and it hasn't been affected.

    Beautiful work- Im a sculptor myself, but I work with clay. Was the duraglas fully hardened when you carved into it? What tools did you use to carve into it?

      Thank you! Yes the it was completely hardened once I started to work on it. I used a Dremel to sculpt into it. Thanks for watching!
