Oh shit, the secrets out......My Old man aka Father, was doing all sorts of art as such, in the 70's to 90's...... his paint jobs were amazing........Gone but never forgotten. You work is just as amazing.
Yes it does, its fiberglass filler essentially. You mix it and apply the same way as filler. I've used it to fill a gap in a guys body kit on his car before. The side skirts were way to short so I cut them in half and used some mesh wire and that stuff and it worked great.
Thank you! I was born in Landstuhl…don't speak or remember anything about Germany though…think its really cool that the video has gotten that kind of exposure
disciplined01 hey cool! i watch brush vids since today, an old friend of mine gave me his complete equipment, so i want to learn. we are all biker. landstuhl, near ramstein air base, i have never been there, but who knows, maybe one day ;-) now i will practise much with the guns, hope to get good enough to brush our bikes. this odin portrait ( my avatar ) i made by myself and the zebra at my google site. you are inspireing me to try 3d. really great, you dont see something like this art very often here. sorry for my bad english, i learned in school 30 years ago ;-)
awesome man never seen work on a bike tank like that before, what did you use body filler than carved it out, I would love to try that on my inside door panels please send me info; the names "Darryl"
absolutely amazing my friend. Doing some basic pattern paintwork at the moment, could only hope to gain skills like yours along the way. Well done mate! :)
Cool idea and looks sweet. Good job. You may run into cracking in the filler though later because how thick it is. Perhaps marglass would be a good alternative to build it up then a skim coat with filler to finish it out for a stronger product. Just an opinion.
That was so cool. You're very talented, young man, very talented. Maybe next time do it with roses and bunnies, tho, or would that make the macho bikers a little nervous? LOL
Hello....great work. I am used to carve on wood using dremel 3000 and i want to do this kind of work on my motorcycle. What material did you applied to the tank to do this job?!
this tank was done in 2011…she rides it on the weekends, occasionally during the week, and stores it outside with a motorcycle cover…no cracks or problems with the paint. I live in Florida so heat and heavy rains are the most extreme conditions that it has been in and it hasn't been affected.
Beautiful work- Im a sculptor myself, but I work with clay. Was the duraglas fully hardened when you carved into it? What tools did you use to carve into it?
this is amazing!! i'm getting ready to start customizing my VTX 1300c. build, not bolt-ons. any insight on how i can do something like this? not the same design, but the same effect. respect on your work, brother.

I am with everyone else here. This is a work of art no doubt. Is there any risk of parts breaking off from vibration or bumps?
This bike was a daily rider and I'm friends with the owner...so far never been a prob
Great work man! I'm inspired to try a similar project. I have been airbrushing for a long time but new to the custom field.
honestly this came as a result of me going from shop to shop and no one really taking on the job to do it the way I was asking so I tried it myself.
Nice, but next time just try to stop moving your camera a lot, and show the steps ....

Cool idea and looks sweet. Good job. You may run into cracking in the filler though later because how thick it is. Perhaps marglass would be a good alternative to build it up then a skim coat with filler to finish it out for a stronger product. Just an opinion.

Es común para auto se llama Duraglas

Hello....great work.
I am used to carve on wood using dremel 3000 and i want to do this kind of work on my motorcycle.
What material did you applied to the tank to do this job?!
its called Duraglas
good job 👍
its a nice job,is it a rider? if so are you thinking it will crack or flake off in big chunks from vibrations?..still looks good.
this tank was done in 2011…she rides it on the weekends, occasionally during the week, and stores it outside with a motorcycle cover…no cracks or problems with the paint. I live in Florida so heat and heavy rains are the most extreme conditions that it has been in and it hasn't been affected.
Beautiful work- Im a sculptor myself, but I work with clay. Was the duraglas fully hardened when you carved into it? What tools did you use to carve into it?
Thank you! Yes the it was completely hardened once I started to work on it. I used a Dremel to sculpt into it. Thanks for watching!
well I thought it was cool but I like skulls and the colors were cool mad it look like it came from hell nice job
I appreciate the love...I have never worked with marglass before. I will keep it in mind. Does it adhere to metal?
this is amazing!! i'm getting ready to start customizing my VTX 1300c. build, not bolt-ons. any insight on how i can do something like this? not the same design, but the same effect. respect on your work, brother.
thank you for the love...its really just my creativity and then sculpting it using a Dremel...
What tool do you use to cut away the buildup and therefore sculpt? Thanks-great work Bro
+Dee Cea appreciate the love...I used a dremel
Oh yes of course, what genius.
Do you use some binding agent to assure the bondo will adhere to the metal tank for long periods?
well done
Nice work. But sad you didn't add the details in to show how you did it
Looks amazing what did u used to mold it
