I really admire you and your zeal for doing UA-cams so often and while your pregnant and with another little one. I think you are very down to earth and REAL.
At first, I didn’t like my golden pothos because it looked so basic but it has put out so much growth! I’ve learned to love that plant so much. I’ve made many many cuttings from it!
I’ve been making my own plant hangers and hanging them lower by a foot than the traditional hanging pots sold at the store, they are doing much better and getting much more sunlight.
Spider plants are so beautiful in a hanging basket. Their babies after some time create a mobile or windchime look but it's all baby spider plants cascading off the mother plant. Not sure if its considered a vining plant tho
Trailing houseplants look like a waterfall of leaves and foliage. ❤️ Great plants! Philodendron Brazil is one of my all time favorite plants. I just got a "zig zag" or "fishbone" cactus and they are so unique looking.
Stopping by to tell you that most everything I know about plants is because of you. I went from 1-100 extremely quick!!! Thank you for sparking the interest and dropping the knowledge!! 😀
@@jaclynns.jungle I saw someone that had a large one hanging above their dining table, which was right beside a large window, so it got great light and was just SO beautiful😍 you get to see the top of the leaves normally, and then when you sit around the table you get to enjoy the pattern on the underside! Stunning
Harli, I'd love to see a video of you talking about becoming a parent while maintaining such a wonderful collection. How did you manage to pull it off?
Evening Harli G., I'd like to thank for your advice on how to get rid of fungus gnats. I used the Neem oil and Mosquito bits and now I have no more problems with gnats. Lol.. I can stand next to my plants again and look out the window together. Thank you so much for being so helpful! Joanne
My grandma has a huge hanging holiday cactus in her bathroom with a large skylight. It’s been my dream since I was little to have one like hers! When you brought up your hanging basket I was so excited!
My grandmother had huge baskets of them (we always called them Christmas cactuses) that grew on her enclosed back porch. They had bright pink blooms. She gave me one in high school but I killed it. Now she's gone and I keep a couple (though mine are babies) in her memory.
Love how you left the names of the plants up as you were talking about them! Really helped my adhd brain in case I looked away for a second, I still knew what you were talking about!
I appreciate this too! With others they get to the end of explaining the plant and then never say the name again and then I have to rewind lol.. i get so into what they are saying I forget what the plant was!
I have a baby dischidia ovata plant and I really love it! Definitely an underrated plant. My grandmother grew huge hanging baskets of what we called Christmas cactuses on her enclosed back porch. You'd go out and see gorgeous pink blooms hanging from the baskets! I just picked up a rhipsalis (I believe it's ewaldiana) in a hanging basket and I love it so much!
I never was into hoya compacta, but seeing how lovely yours looks as a trailing plant has made me see it in another light. I just might have to buy one and see how it goes! Great video, Harli 💚💚💚
@@mwoods4608 I have a lipstick plant and it has grown so fast and trails beautifully. My husband isn’t into plants at all and even he said it was a pretty plant. I just bought a variegated one yesterday. Hopefully it grows as lush as my other one.
I never thought of putting sygonium as a hanging plant, I love that idea! Such a fun video! I have my zigzag cactus (fishbone cactus) as a hanging plant, very funky and cute, I'm sure you would like it too!
I love your darling personally.. Hey can you do a video on your "tricks of the trade" on how you keep your plants so lush and what windows they're facing, how much you water them etc?? Thanks for your hard work you are amazing
My favorite hanging plant is Hoya carnosa crimson princess 😍 you just can’t go wrong with all of those gorgeous colors, and it has a really nice shape!
Yes I just got two. I love them. I'm still new to having house plants. So I've been watching plant videos. I saw my new plants at the store and the three colors plus pink vines really attracted my eyes. I had to have both. I hope they live. Just so lovely to me
Oh! Thank you for telling me that! I guess I was thinking about how it should be pronounced according to English rules! That makes so much sense, thanks again!
Just this morning I decided to take the plant stakes out of my variegated peperomia scandens because I decided I wanted it to be a hanging plant! This video was such perfect timing and now I feel confident that since you think it’s a cool hanging plant I should do it lol
I absolutely adore my Rhipsalis pilocarpa. It cascades like a waterfall streaming from a hanging basket in my south-east facing window. The flowers are so delicate and then the red berries give it a special pop of interest. I wish I could post a picture.❤
I have a 6-7" hoya carnosa krimson queen hanging in macrame in my big east window and it's honestly such a fun plant to have there. Like the lipstick plants the thicker vines get an attractive wider arch to them, and I love how the leaves arrange themselves. In the summer it gets enough light there that is gives me a lot of variegation and really lives up to the krimson queen part with rosy stems and new growth. Another one that's kind of different hung up is the begonia Brazilian lady (though it's good to be aware that like all flowering begonias they're messy during the bloom season lol.)
I'm happy you mentioned Syngoniums! They can looks great in a big hanging pot. I also love the Cissus discolor--such a pretty combination of several colors.
One of my favourite trailing plants, and some of the most criminally underrated houseplants on youtube in my opinion are tradescantia! I have a regular tradescantia zebrina and a tradescantia fluminensis tricolor and they are both so full and luscious and stunning! I really don't understand why people don't talk about them more? They are by far the fastest growing plants in my home (I got my zebrina as a 3-leaf cutting last summer and it is now spilling out of a 6-inch pot on all sides), they are super colourful (the fluminensis is the brightest pink I've ever seen on a plant!), and I find them super easy to take care of. They trail for days and stay bushy and full and the leaves don't get noticeably smaller. And the best part are, even if they do go bald on top, you can just chop off some vines and stick them right back into the soil and they will root within days, so it's super easy to keep them looking bushy.
Have a variegated peperomia scandens as a hanging / trailing plant and can confirm it looks great and grows well 😊 i else struggle with peperomia, but this one works well for me 😊
@@lisatietze9369 it rooted fast.and I was surprised it didn't rot tbh! It propagates really easy. I'm just afraid to switch it to soil and then have it die 🤣 maybe it will just need to live in water forever
I love every one of the plants that you mentioned, especially the aeschynanthus 😍 I received a few cuttings of black pagoda a couple months ago and I’m so excited for them to start trailing and eventually flowering 💄💖
Omg so glad you said holiday cactus!!! My nan recently passed and it’s the only plant I could get from her house and she’s blooming right now and it’s the most amazing, beautiful and vibrant plant and flower. Mine looks like a claw hanging out the pot 🙂
The second I saw the title I thought about peperomias. They are so cute and have a lot of different varieties, but my favorites are the tradescantia especially the pink ones 😍🥰
I love my hanging plants but I think my strangest one actually happened by mistake and it's my husband's fav is a mix of mother of thousands and mother of millions hanging ❤️
I have a hanging plant called dragon tail. It’s so pretty and growing so fast. But it’s also semi rare. I haven’t seen it sold commonly. When I searched it on Etsy only one store had it for sale. It’s my absolute favorite. It’s thriving in my house
Oh girl, I just love your content! You’re the one who got me REALLY into plants. Love the facial expressions you make and the way you have to think of certain words, cuz I have to do that too 😂
I’ve also noticed my neon pothos casually grew similarly sized leaves with minimal spacing. They’re also on the big side. How freaking cool. It was my only true quarantine plant. Straders wasn’t allowing people to see plants unless they wanted a specific one and I was like “I swear that’s neon pothos!” And they haven’t gotten them since
One of my favorites is Peperonia Rosy Glow, mine hangs like a curtain all the way around & the rosy undersides look beautiful lit up with a lamp below.
I've had really good luck getting Peperomia scandens from Josh's frogs. I have done it twice and both times they shipped beautifully. Love, love this plant as a hanging plant.

Love this! I've been needing more hanging plants to feed my plant obsession without taking up so much space in my house 😆 my fave vining plant is my N'joy pothos! I really want to repot it in a hanging pot but I put it in a weird shaped ceramic vase months ago and it got huge and now I'm afraid of killing it when I pull it out. Any advice on that? The pot it's in now is shaped like a pair of little rain boots! I just think it wants a bigger home now that it's vines are a couple feet long.
I don’t know if you have any wax ivy plants, but I LOVE them hanging. I have two small ones and they are just so weird and wonky the way they grow. Plus not actually being ivy they are quite easy care I think.
