Why no one else makes that simple and right to the point like you do, mister. A big thank you for the awesome tutorial. It helped a lot learning the IP routing process.
I feel the exact same here in the UK I have just completed my CCNA2 but have learnt more watching these videos than I did attending lessons for 10 weeks!
The last time I have been working with CISCO Routing and Switching was 5 years ago. Thank you very much for these videos, it reminds me back and helped me a lot refreshing me all what I learned and practice.
uve been a great help to me! im studying ccna, i read our books & listen to my prof bt your videos make them clearer to me! U are God's sent! Thank u!!
Thank you so much..got how to configure RIP.. the special thing is I'm hearing impaired guy so audio/sound/voice in the video clip will be an issue..but only watching the video was really enough thats too with pretty clear screens.. really happy with it.. Once again thanks!! :)
hi greeting from indonesia :) honestly i'm very interest with all tutorial that you make, so i can learn more about cisco because im beginner :) thanks a lot ure tutorial very helpful for me
i am not seeing the ip route on R1 in Packet Tracer 6.1, but the route show in R2. The s2/0 interface shows ip addresses ending in .1 and .2 and subnet ending in .0. All other configurations are as per the video.
Thanks for your CCNA videos Mr Dan, but Its confusing can't tell which video to start with it and which follow on this CCNA 2 playlist. Do you have a playlist of CCNA 2 - Routing and Routing Protocols that're in order?
if i have subnetted networks, how can i distinguish with router rip the specific subnet mask? would that pick up automatically in router rip and if not how do insert it statically?
Hi Dan, In the beginning of the video, you 've said " what we made yesterday" would you please give me the link of that video ? because this is the first video in this playlist... Thanks a lot, keep up the good work.
Hello Dan . These videos are amazing , great for the beginners . I have one question that which section should i start first? Should it be Switching or Routing?
Hi. thank you . could you please tell me where is Part 2? and you said at the first of the Video "thats tutorial what we did yesterday! where ist the video for yesterday ?! this video is video number 1 in my playlist !!! thank you for your answer
Hi, here is my CCNA2 playlist. It has almost all of my videos on RIP and Routing. My guess is that it is in there: ua-cam.com/play/PL045B070715AA1FE9.html
Hi Dan! I love your CCNA videos and have been a subscriber for a few years now. I realize this is quite an old tutorial, but it's new to me, and I wanted to chime in on a particular IP address that I believe to be incorrect. You mentioned that R1's IP address in the 192. 168. 1. 0 subnet was 192. 168. 0. 1 at the 1:01 mark. That would place the router in a separate subnet. The first available host in that subnet should be 192. 168. 1. 1 (if you were going to use it on R1).
could it have been a mistake by words, it could he be talking about two different outgoing interfaces for the two lans? not watched the video yet because i'm trying to replicate the networks above first
Hi Dan, Just wondering if you could give me some direction as far as not seeing the Serial routes on my configuration. I only see the 2 connected to int fa0/0. Thanks
Just a dumb question, but how do you get those additional information to show on the visual representation of the connection? eg. networkzonecircles, adresses etc.?
Hi Dan, what video comes before this? I've been looking over your channel and can't find it, onto this section of the ccna book and your cli tutorials helped lots the last time. will probably spend some time going through this before continuing book study, got my ccna part 1 in February D:
Kerri Ferriegel The ip route command works like this. The first 32 bit address is the destination network, the second 32 bit address is the subnet mask for that network. And finally the 3rd 32 bit address in the address of the next Hop ( Routers serial port) that is headed in the direction needed to reach the destination network.
hello. Do you know Core/Imunes emulator? can you make some tutorials about that, because i want to connect a real network to one of my networks in the simulator, and I think that this is the only one that can do it. So, can you make a tutorial? thanks for all of your videos!
I have a problem! I can't connect the routers with serall connection in packet tracer.I get a message:The cabble cannot be connceted to that port.Any thoughts anyone? What am I missing?
Sounds like you are trying to connect the wrong kind of cable to the wrong kind of port. If you don't have a serial card in the router (i.e. HWIC 2T) then you will have nothing to connect a serial cable to
...maybe you should ask your government not to turn every English spoken movie in German voices. Maybe that helps you understand English instead of only German the rest of your life. Comments like these are so frustrating. You even got the nerve to just speak in German while you know the guy is American. -.-

Ridiculously easy-to-understand tutorial video. Simply explained and helpful. Thanks!
My teacher here in Mexico is really lousy, I understood in 9:21 what my profesor couldn't teach me in 2 months! Thank you very much!
Succinct and to the point, great video to become acquainted with RIP. Even after many years this one is still relevant!
Thanks for taking the time and effort in making these videos. They are a great help and easy to understand.
You're great at instructing. I'm in C school for the Navy and this video has been very helpful to watch while I'm getting ready to go to march off.

@fjohnson1013 My pleasure and thank you for the feedback!
Thanks Dan. This really helped me out for my CCNA class.
Thank you so much..got how to configure RIP..

Hey man. I’m building a HUGE network and I’ve been relying on EIGRP to do it... hopefully RIP helps out. Thanks!

Thanks so much for education sir.
so which way is better rip or static ip route?
Thanks for your CCNA videos Mr Dan, but Its confusing can't tell which video to start with it and which follow on this CCNA 2 playlist.

hey when i try to rip my routers it doesn't get update :( what should i do? :||
if i have subnetted networks, how can i distinguish with router rip the specific subnet mask? would that pick up automatically in router rip and if not how do insert it statically?

if I have subnetted networks and i want to participate them on the network using rip, am i required to input the shorthand subnet mask e.g. /28?
Super helpful! Thank you for this video. :)
That's great thanks for the feedback!
