Guys, Rob saw Logan and agrees that he has no idea what had Doug so confused and many things were explained just fine. Apparently he enjoyed it immensely.
After watching this entire long video, it seems that EVERYTHING about this film went over Doug's head. And it feels like he's selling it as a completely different movie. He's making the genuinely good moments sound like something out of a corny Adam West Batman movie.
Indeed. He's totally mis-representing it and making it seem way too goofy and not selling the seriousness and tone of it. The highway scene he explains, he makes it sound goofy and all over the place when it's really nicely done.
Nesty No problem buddy. The review is in my Logan Vs The Wolverine video. I compare and review both movies. Lol I just realised that your contacting me through Doug's channel. I do reference this review of his in my comparison. :)
TheRedRotorReverend That means he'd have to redo some Nostalgia Critic videos like The Matrix review. Seriously, at least half the plot-holes and complaints are explained in that movie just like this one.
ehhh, I get where you are coming from, but some of those explanations are pretty hard to catch. And there ARE some legitimate points that he raised in that one. I still recognize it for what it did, and the subway fight from the original Matrix is among my all time favorites, but overall, I really don't think it entirely holds up. And this is the NC. This is Doug, who writes the script for, and plays the part of, the Nostalgia Critic. The opinions from one tend to bleed over into the other as a result.
I dont know how someone THIS bad at following a pretty simple movie maintains any credibility as a "critic". The exaggeration of character traits, the flat our wrong things he says about the plot, the things he says arent explained but in fact are. I already stopped following him as much as i used but Jesus this really reminds me of why i just couldnt stay around.
DoctaDaKing Allude to it, yes, but I for one also never quite got what they were alluding to exactly, unless it was the seizures. Subtlety in film is a rather tricky thing to pull off, if that was the intent. Granted, I got distracted much of the mivie by a guy who was using his phone, so I ended up not processing a lot of dialog when I was trying to focus on the movie anyway. Ah yeah, he killed his students with one of his seizures.
More than twice for sure, Caliban was freaked out by Professor X's seizures and Pierce even said that the HSA classified Xavier's mind as a weapon of mass destruction. It was said without ever really being said many times.
"There are like no more mutants, for some reason." Doug, it's implied that Xavier's dementia went out of control a year ago and he killed all or most of his students.
97% on RT doesn't mean its a 9.7 score, it means 97% of the critics tought it was above avarage/liked it. It doesn't mean its a masterpice. It also suggests that at the very least most people found something good in it and that the pros outweight the cons. How is that stil confusing?
Maxi1,000,000 Prime No, it doesn't. The 97% is a percentage of critics who gave the movie a positive review. If you simply put your mouse over the question mark near the percentage, it will say exactly that. The average RATING is a 7.9/10. Still great, but keep in mind that percentages don't mean much. Case of point: Man of Steel and the new Kong: Skull Island movie both have the same average rating: a 6.2/10, but they each have different tomatometer percentages (Man of Steel has a 55%, Kong has a 83% currently)
I was about to comment the same thing. Its actual average score is about an 8/10 (still really good, but not 97%). Rotten Tomatoes is a good measure of how broad the appeal is, not the direct quality (though frankly, reading and/or listening to reviews is a way better way to work out if you'll like something than just finding an arbitrary number).
Djinsin As well as the fact it's not just Logan going up against a big, bad villain. He's going up against literally himself, but himself in his prime. Seeing Logan's face everytime X-24 hurt him was distressing. He's finally realised how vicious and animalistic he truly once. Even when he goes OD on the serum and let's out a Wolverine Roar; he seems almost upset for a brief moment before the animal rage takes over again. Even Logan doesn't want to go berserker anymore.
Djinsin it was also a metaphor for the constant rebooting of movies. X-24 is a metaphor for soulless modern reboots to replace the original that's been run-down. Instead, X-24 is defeated by X-23, something original while being based on the original as well.
Same lol. But the dirty little secret of Channel Awesome is that Doug's a funny guy who really only kind of knows about film/film theory. I go to him to laugh at a movie, I'll go to someone like Lindsay for any actual deep analysis of one.
*in his Freddy vs Jason review* "Now, hear ye millennials, there was a time where there were things called R rated films. They were called the Non-Pussy years." *Logan comes out* "Man, it was really flaunting its R rating too much."
Every time they say "fuck" in Logan, it's in a situation where you would say it. Here's a little experiment to try out: Take a notepad with you and make a tally of how many times you say ANY swear in one day.
Damn Doug sucks at explaining this movie, either he's skipped over half the movie or just didn't understand what he was watching half the time. The "evil British doctor " and the wolverine clone are perfectly explained, as was why there are no more mutants. The cursing isn't as over the top as he's making it sound and fits perfectly in an adult world where people just express frustration through swearing. Also the death of Xavier in this movie was perfectly done. He's a man counting his days, drugged down like a vegetable who's a danger to the world. He got a true moment of family and warmth with that family they stay with and then remembers what he did and feels he doesn't deserve the kindness he's gotten that day. Sure clone wolverine is lame but that moment when you didn't know it was clone wolverine was a moment of vulnerability between 2 people who have been together so long. He also completely glances over how Logan is was way more about Logan coming to terms with himself. He is old, he is half cripple he's dying from adimantium poisoning, so yes X23 does do most of the fighting which is great. Also clearly pissing over the ending scene which was a great emotional moment with a great nod to the hotel scene with Xavier and X23. We got a deep movie about the bond between Logan and Xavier and the growing relationship between Logan and his daughter mixed in with good wolverine hardcore action worthy of the comics.
YFox agreed, I don't get these Sibling Rivalry things, they basically say "too much spectacle not enough depth" yet when a deep and emotionally charged masterpiece like Logan comes along they say "it's too slow and not like other superhero movies". And can they stop saying "they're all stupid films," it's starting to piss me off. Spider-Man trilogy? Stupid. Lord of the Rings? Stupid. X-men? Stupid. Here let's try that for the original Batman movie. It's stupid, these two would go apeshit if anyone said that. Seriously, these two so badly want to be Siskel and Ebert, they're trying so hard.
They are more interested in watching movies with complex cinematography and high brow stories than true character studies. They aren't the target demographic for this movie. Yes, there is a lot of swearing in this film, but not every other word like Doug says. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back had more swearing in its 90 minute run time, lol. The "confusing" plot points were explained, but if they have no serious interest in the source material (as shown here by them calling these movies stupid), they won't stick as hard. This was a great movie, well worthy of its praise. These two just simply weren't the intended viewers. To have Doug who doesn't really like comic book movies to still say that this is one of the better ones is a testament to how well made it is however, so I'll still consider it a win.
YFox Completely agree with everything you said. Logan is my all-time favorite X-Men and superhero movie. Love, love, loved it. Doug was correct when he says this is the most "human" of all these type of movies. I legit shed a tear when she turns the cross over into the "X" at the end of the movie, as if to say, "you will always be one of the X-Men forever". Now you run on home to your mother, and tell her... tell her everything's all right. And there aren't any more guns in the valley.
X24, as explained by the director, was a deliberate choice to serve as a metaphor for Logans fear. X24 is the beast within Logan. Essentially, the movie had no villain. And if there's one it's Logan, both the hero and the villain, struggling to come to terms with himself. Laura killing X24 is Laura killing the darkness within Logan. I dont know I found that much more satisfying than any other villain they could come up with.
CANADA, Doug- they're going to CANADA. They made if very clear that their goal was to get to Canada, where the government would no longer be authorized to hunt them down. They said over and over that "Eden" was in North Dakota, and it turned out to be the rendezvous point for the group before crossing the Canadian border.
Yeah Doug didn't pay much attention to this movie.. got a lot of things wrong.... While I didn't think this movie was as good as a lot of people say, most of his criticisms like this one are just wrong and due to not paying attention.
Christopher Buckley yeah love his videos think he's a great guy, but my god he never seems to go with the crowd on good movies anything has to be something to say "well it's not amazing"
It's not like I'm mad that Doug isn't 100% gushing over this movie. It has it's issues. But it's hard to take the critique seriously when more than half of the issues he has with it seem to be caused by him not paying attention to basic plot points and dialogue. I went into this movie blind, not knowing the plot of it or the comic it's based off of at all, but it was still pretty easy to follow, so it's not like it's a problem of poor adapting.
The X-men is his, like, favorite comics and he doesn'y pay attention on probably the most important movie of that franchise ? where THE FREAKING WOLVERINE DIES?! THE FUCK?!
Pretty much the worst thing I've ever seen on Channel Awesome - watching Rob's ignorant sarcasm interrupting Doug's disjointed and misinterpreted narrative was cringe worthy in the extreme. The movie I saw bore no resemblance whatsoever to the story that Doug is describing. Pretty much all Doug needed to say to was this..."Rob if you don't go and see this movie, right now, you're a fucking idiot!". If Rob doesn't see this movie basing his decision not to do so on this misguided review then he owes Doug a hard punch in the face.
I wonder if doug was constantly falling asleep or looking at his cellphone while watching the movie, because many of his "very confusing" points are completely explained. *SPOILERS (kinda)* . . . Eden, wolverine's disease, what happened with all the x-men (which relates to the bad thing that xavier did), the reason why they keep xavier in a bunker, the adamantium bullet, they were all explained (and i'm not mentioning everything that he complained about, that'd take hours, lol). Even x-23 going from mute to being able to speak a bit in english (plenty of people can memorize lines in a different language without knowing it) can be explained by connecting some dots. Not saying it's a perfect movie, but his explanation makes it sound like an average movie with lot of plot holes. Sure, it does have a few plot holes, but it's a lot better than what doug's explanation makes it out to be. Wondering what Rob's opinion on it will be if he ends up seeing it.
It would not surprise me if Doug wasn't paying attention and/or went into the movie expecting generic_silly_action_comic_book_film a la The Avengers. I say go into Logan with the same mindset as something like The Dark Knight.
Doug has a story of being confused by everything, I doubt it has to do with not paying attention or not caring. This happens way too often even with stuff he does care about.
The first half was amazing. The second half was an average movie with a lot of plot holes and the scenes did not leave as strong impact as they were intended to leave.
That "terrible thing" the professor did is implied to be killing most, if not all of the xmen. After the hotel scene, the radio talks about how there was a similer incident in west chester, which is where the school was. It also says there were some casualties. Charles also says he remembers what happend at West Chester before he died, so yeah.... Professor X killed the xmen. That's pretty dark.
It was Westchester- said a number in the hundreds were hurt and 7 were killed. Who else would the 7 be? Especially when Charles said he remembered what he had done there? That reaction? He killed Xmen and hurt children.
To be fair, he's blowing the movie waaaay out of proportion. Its way more relaxed in the way its done and all the story points do make sense. Please don't let the way he describes it undermine your hype. See it its fucking awesome
Ahhhhh I am not in the UA-cam subscriber business, so how is that even relevant… Guess I am not allowed to change my mind and migrate to other channels… Love your kangaroo logic there child...
Doug, you are an awesome guy, but good god I had never disagreed with you this hard. All of your questions could of been answered if you were actually paying attention closely to the film. And you make all the great scenes in the movie sound as if they were cartoony even though in reality they were actually well-shot. Makes me question if you and I are actually watching the same film.
I felt this movie was less like a Comic Book movie and more like a Western. Which to be honest, suits the Wolverine portrayed in the movie. A perfect movie for Hugh Jackman to end his Wolverine career, while leaving the door open for serious roles in the future.
But in all seriousness, when people ask me about the movie I usually tell them to change their expectations/mindset. If they are coming into Logan expecting some sort of over-the-top action movie, they are going to be extremely disappointed. Logan has a lot of slower moving parts, and I think that might non sit well with a lot of people (Who are expecting something more like first-class). Then again, after the last 2 Wolverine movies and AoA, this might seems like a good movie to most despite that.
jaggededge11 Even then I think those looking for great over-the-top action won't be disappointed because of how insane and energetic and gory the R-rated fights can be on top of the emotionally driven story. And it never feels like action is trying to fight over emotion or vice versa, it seems perfectly balanced and appropriate. Even Mad Max: Fury Road knew when to slow down and I'm so glad that action movies are realizing that now. Lol
Nathan Rojas more like devolved.. there's a way to make a character evolve without doing something as drastic as what the movie did (I don't wanna spoil anything for others) you never saw the original Xmen series do something like that and that was one of the most loved animated marvel shows ever and was very successful they seemed to do just fine with character development.
K.A.T Productions Because it was a cartoon for the whole family, mainly kids. This is a grown up movie, just like Old Man Logan is a grown up comic book.
Honestly, I don’t care that they put that trailer shot in the horse scene, because you can apply their exchange to the entire movie. Logan wants to be left alone after all he’s been through, and he assumes that the world can handle itself. But Charles reassures him that he still has to help all the good people left in the world.
I have ADD and I could follow it. I missed some tiny points and had to think about them afterwards.. More likely when comes to this movie Doug just didn't give a shit.
I also have ADD and can follow this plot, but I also think that is irrelevant. ADD doesn't always translate into "can't focus on anything". Sometimes it is merely being hyper focused on the wrong thing and having trouble shifting that focus where it belongs. I find that when I can shift my focus I can catch MORE of what I look at than my peers, not less.
Dr. Rice doesn't come out of nowhere. From the beggining we know Pierce answers to someone, and during Gabriela's video we see Rice *several times*. Not to mention in the video Gabriela foreshadows X-24 (The Wolverine clone). I watched the movie this saturday and I got all that, and I'm stupid.
Also Doug somehow didn't see that Wolverine shot Dr. Rice in the face? How evident do you need it to be? One minute Rice is talking, then his face is gone, cut back to Wolverine and he's holding a gun.
Also I went to see this movie with a friend. Both of us cried during Wolverine's death. You say X-23 needed to talk for there to be a connection, but you're an actor and you think a connection can be made without words? So I guess mute and deaf people are just fucked for life.
And you're taking the lion bullshit Patrick Steward said way too seriously for no reason. He's clearly making small talk to please her and annoy Wolverine.
"Make clone Wolverine like "Holy shit I'm gonna fight myself'" What the fuck does that even mean? You want ten minutes of Hugh Jackman pondering over the moral ramifications of trying to kill a clone of himself? Do we *need* that? I think the audience is smart enough to connect the dots there.
Why does Doug always makes everything seem so stupid and silly? I know thats the fun part about his videos, but im expecting him to be a little more serious when it comes to these types of movies. He makes tragic and brutal moments look dumb. I do agree with him on the 'someone has come along' part, i thought that was kind of stupid, since in the trailer they made it look like they were talking about the girl (it would fit alot better). But thats just a nitpick, and to be honest, most of this movie's flaws are nothing but nitpicks. This couldnt be a more perfect send-off to such a beloved charcter.
Pooparoo I couldn't comprehend what he was saying in his real thoughts of the avgn movie despite making a cameo and doing a Nostalgia Critic joke review. He sounded so nervous throughout that I thought he was going to shit on the movie.
“Never explain what Charles did” Dude that was pretty heavily implied “Never explained what Eden was” Ok they practically Screamed the explanation (Didn’t even talk about the casino scene) OH COME ON!!
I haven't been here for some time. This always reminds me how little Douglas paid attention to this movie. I still want him to rewatch this, pay attention, and review it again.
Doug, this is something that you need to know about Rotten Tomatoes because it seems like you still don't understand this. A 97% on Rotten Tomatoes means that 97% of the critics gave it a positive review which can range from thinking that it's good to excellent. Just thought I'd share that.
I'm not necessarily saying he's idiotic about it; just naive. Like it seems like he really takes Rotten Tomatoes to heart like when he reviewed Zootopia and The Jungle Book.
So for him dramatic moments doesnt amount as much, big deal. I liked movie, but it didn't realy blew my mind. Drama wasn't realy something new, everything was told, but not shown and ending was predictable. Actors were good, but not all that mindblowing. Storyline was excellent, but how they delivered it wasn't very impressive. Bond between logan and x-23 wasn't very properly developed. And movie takes itself too serios all the time and just seems to shy away his comic roots. So he is right, it is good movie, but if it was polished better, it would have been great dramatic comic movie.
I was referring to Doug always falling back to "I don't know", "they didn't didnt explain" (they did), "Oh I missed that", etc etc etc he does this A lot he misses shit and gets distracted and then blames the movie for his failure as a movie watcher
Well that is his main problem. You must pay too much attention to details to get full picture, in great movies details must make plot even more meaningful, not tell us important parts of story. So much is told and not shown, and because of that it lost much of it's impact, that could make this movie much better. It is not a book, it is a movie. And plus whole movie was standing on shoulders of two actors, others didn't left any deep feeling. So movie failed to show full beaty of his story to people, who are really not into all that little details ( it is just comic movie for god's sake).
For me, Logan is the best comic book movie ever made and it's not even a comic book movie. This is a drama with comic book characters. I know this is an overused thing to say about some of these films, but I think for this film and TDK it is applicable. It's as perfect as a movie about comic characters can possibly be and in my opinion it nailed everything it tried to achieve. I'm surprised Doug didn't feel the same, but it is of course subjective. So I'm 20 minutes in and Doug is really not very good at telling this story accurately. It's kind of frustrating as he's making serious scenes sound ridiculous when they really aren't. Now I've come to the end of his run through of the movie and he didn't seem to understand that the entire idea was to get the new mutants across the border. That's where the kids are going in the end, and what Logan was helping them do. "Eden" was where the kids were all shacked up, that was the location. He didn't seem to understand what happened to all the mutants, but it's made clear that Professor X killed some of them, and supposedly Strykers son was responsible for no more mutants being born. Jeez it was sort of painful to sit through this, but I'll keep going. And here we go again. The reason people hated the deaths in X3 compared to this film is for many reasons, I'll state a few. X3 wasn't a good movie and the deaths weren't earned. Cyclops was killed off screen, and Charles was killed by the phoenix which was a plot that wasn't told even remotely well. Logan is a great movie to a lot of people and had so much emotional weight and character that it had earned those moments. Plus we are at a different time in this franchise now, not the 3rd movie in.
Yes, he wasn't THE villain, but I still feel he helps carry the ideas of God, humanity playing god, and the other ideas the film suggest, some of which are offerd by the creation of X-24 (the wolverine 2). As for the actual villain, he didn't need to be supper complex. He was simply an obsticle, but one who also served a purpose. He was an earl version of humans playing God, but is later deemed useless and savage by the doctor, who moves on to better creations, such as the children and later X-24.
I will agree though that for the most part Marvel films don't have the best villains. Loki is really the closest we've got. Hell, DC has really only done that well with their Jokers.
I think people let the fight with the Silver Samurai overtake the rest of the film. That fight does feel out of place but it's 6 minutes out of an almost 2 hour film. It doesn't ruin it for me. And the beginning scene in Nagasaki is great, the bullit train sequence is awesome, and the brief fight with the ninjas near the end is pretty good as well.
Exactly! It was only that damn fight scene that "ruined the movie" for everyone. Like wtf? The rest was really well done but people is all like "fuck those 6 minutes they ruined the movie!"
I enjoyed both of the originals. Origins I liked, but I totally agree that it was hardly "good". It had some fun moments and good scenes, but they feel very disjointed and don't have a lot in common. I also agree that the second one was pretty forgettable. I enjoyed it, but it's mostly just "good" stuff that leaves little impact, in my opinion.
Decided to watch another Doug review since it was for this movie, and reminded myself of why I stopped watching. He clearly wasn't paying any attention to the movie. Almost everything he comments on or complains about is either flat out inaccurate, exaggerated, or explained in the movie.
Also happens often in the vlogs, he's bad at paying attention, it's true, but "sibling rivalry" videos still can be interesting and worthwhile when Rob also was watching the movie.
it kills me but i gotta down vote. the movie is extremely well made and it seems like doug didnt pay attention. if you dont suspend your disbelief you will be a joyless viewer of any movie.
Personally I feel it was the technology being the biggest part, then also the characters. Granted I don't like Andrew Garfield as the role entirely since he makes a good spider man but not a good Peter Parker. The reason why I said technology was because spider man created small wrist gadgets to sling webs and whatnot rather than producing it naturally. (something the Raimi films did giving peter natural webbing, sorry but Spider man's super power isn't to shoot webs.) Again I don't entirely feel the amazing spider man films are on point with what a spider man film should be. I haven't really read the current ultimate spider man because finding new comics from marvel for free is a bitch. In all honesty I wont go back to re-watch the amazing spider man films because I'd rather watch other super hero films, but I find them to be closer to the comics than the Raimi films did. Also this is off topic but I found spider man from civil war to actually be less of a representation of the character than the film adaptation from the amazing spider man films.
I enjoyed Amazing Spiderman 1 but though 2 sucked ass. The Raimi films while silly at times hold a special place in my heart. I loved every movie, even Spiderman 3.
i understand man, and i see that you care enough to give a thought, but i can pinpoint the reference in comics of the first 2 spiderman movies, i just dont get the same vibe of the two TAS movies, and to be honest i think they are a mess not only in the script, in the technical level as well, dont let me stop you to enjoy the movies, spidemar its a great character to many people (to me as well) and all the people have the right to enjoy the version that they choose, i only get tired of the people that criticize one avoiding the problems of the other
Doug. Bad review. Can you pay half attention to a movie and make a review on it? Information is wrong and blown out of proportion. Just one note. The girl not speaking is part of her character. She is a tortured child who only knew violence for a good portion of her life
One thing that is p*ssing me off a bit, is that I've seen people saying "this movie will save comic book movies" and I'm just like, where thee in danger? Yeah sure we have BvS and Suicide Squad, but that's only 2 out of dozens.
I havent even seen the movie, I just wanted to watch this video because it's the earliest I've been to one of your videos. Just wanna say I love your content (I've seen your "after these messages" video too many times to count) and to keep it up!
Uhh what Logan said when he was dying was completely audible. He tells Laura "Don't be what they made you," and then says "So this is what it feels like" after Laura calls him daddy.
Jeah, exactly. And this is not a randome guy, he's supose to be a pro movie reviewer and the way he explained the plot and all wosn't really good man, maybe he playd it up for comedic effect, but that forced laughter pisses me off, laugh when you feal like it.
The film is acclaimed so why not be brave and trash it is whats going on. The score on RT is decreasing as some critics have to trash it even though they can say its an okay movie.
"The Wolverine was boring." Everyone who actually chose to watch this video of two people sitting and talking about comic book movies: "I actually really enjoyed The Wolverine."
Professor X killed all the other X Men with a seizure. It's referenced after the hotel on the radio(they mention how the seizure moment is similar to an event in Westchester that killed people on the news). That's the event he was talking about when he said he remembered doing something terrible
Doug, the Eden explanation is quite simple. Eden is the meet-up point in North Dakota, which becomes a "self-fulfilling prophecy" of sorts. They meet at those coordinates because its what was found in the comics, and since all the kids are fans of the comics and of the legends of the X Men, they decide to meet there. From there, they plan to go north to Canada to a safe haven (which, based on the comics, there is a "Canadian X Men" of sorts called Alpha Flight that has the backing of the Canadian government, so that may be a hint to that) so they can be in Canadian jurisdiction. And Rob, stay pretentious.
Doug,... were you half asleep or high when you watched this movie??? I've officially stopped at 24:24. An this isn't just about an opinion. Comic Book Girl 19 was lukewarm about this movie but her review was solid because she apparently did what Doug didn't do... watch this movie. She had many serious issues about the tone and portrayal of Wolverine, but she backed it all up with things that were actually in the movie and understood all aspects of what was going on in it... I guess because she payed attention. That was a good review. I didn't agree with her opinion, but I liked the way she made me think about it. This so-far hasn't made me think at all, and it's not really funny either. I've liked Nostalgia Critic, but this is so half-assed that it's really a waste of time to watch the rest of it. Maybe it's the format of this particular video since all I've watched of his is Nostalgia Critic which has often been way more thoughtful and nuanced than this video. This is the worst job that I've seen anyone do in reviewing any movie that I've seen mostly because it feels as though Doug was texting or on his computer when he "watched" this movie. Completely misses whole plot-points or misreads entire situations. Perhaps it was low expectations that led to him not really paying attention (like... at all), but I'm not watching this review because it's not a real review. Reviews are done by people who've actually watched the movie. If he isn't going to take this seriously, why should we take his reviews seriously?
I'm willing to bet Doug rolls his eyes and thinks we don't know what we're talking about when we say he's not paying attention to the movie, but Doug, when this many people are saying you don't pay enough attention, maybe listen?
So you talk about the movie for nearly an hour and Rob hasn't even seen it? And according to the comments, Doug wasn't paying attention and misunderstood a whole lot. I usually watch these no matter the length, but there's no way I'm sitting through this. I suggest Rob go see it and Doug see it again, then make a new video.
Favorite film of the year thus far, by far; Can't remember when I cried about a film as much as I did when Laura turned over that cross... Beautiful, just beautiful!
Saw this today with every age range at 11:10am and every kid was under 10 and screamed at Logan and X-23 killing people and immediately shut back up to watch the rest, it was one of the few times I've been in the theater and everybody was on the same wave watching something
I look at the horses bit as Xavier subconsciously teaching Logan what he's meant to do with Laura, but using the horses as an example. It's symbolic of Laura
That scene Charles was explaining that he finally understood what happened at the old X mansion in Winchester, that he had a seizure and actually killed all the Xmen with his mental overload.
I watched it on the one day that it was specially released in black and white. I thought it was pretty good in color, but the amazing cinematography of the black and white version makes it a damn near perfect film, and it gets very emotional. I guess a lot is possible when you edit together a movie made up of thousands of shots that even on their own contain a lot of power in their composition.
I have to say, Doug's first viewing absorption skills... leave something to be desired. They found Eden, and they were headed to Canada (just to name one specific example).
I think the only X-Men film Doug likes is X3: The Last Stand. He's said that he didn't care for any of the other films. But I'm with you, I love X2, and DOFP.
Rob is just constantly interrupting. He can't tolerate a single 10 seconds of his brother talking. And then when it's his turn to give a cinematic opinion, it's never even that interesting. I'm just like, "Shut up, dude, let your more talented and intelligent brother speak."
It's implied that Xavier killed the X-Men when he had a seizure. The Wolverine clone is supposed to be a representation of Logan's bestial side and violent past. Eden was a place in the comics so it wasn't real. But because the mutant kids had read the comics, they decided to use the coordinates as a meeting place where they would come together before escaping to Canada, so they created "Eden" in the real world. Also, the "scientist guy" was the one who put gene therapy in the food that suppressed the mutant gene and prevented mutants from being born. And Logan tells Laura, "don't become what they made you."
Alright with the silly voices and dismissive unfunny jokes. The movie was great and Doug almost seems like he's ashamed to admit the movie wasn't shit. He will praise ok kids movies all day but once it's something heavy and more mature he barely says anything good and even then he has to do an obnoxious voice or corny joke
Doug, you kinda need to pay attention. 1st, the bad thing Charles did was that a year before Logan, he had a bead seizure, killed 6 X-Men and injured the rest of the students. 2nd, North Dakota was Eden, and they were going north, to the border of Canada. 3rd, strikers brother killed the rest of the mutants, and also Logan killed him. 4th, bizarro wolverine was x-24, the final mutant experiment/weapon. In my opinion, this isn't just the best x-men movie, not just the best marvel movie, but in my opinion, the second best superhero film ever. The only flaws I had were that the villains could have been better, and the second 3rd was a fit slow, but still great. Also, what makes Charles death better than how he died in x 3 is that he died thinking he wasn't deserving of anything, and possibly died thinking Logan killed him. IMO, 9/10.
X-23 actually steals the car they saw on the other side of the river to get Logan to the hospital. A clever detail in the movie was using the X-men comic as a clever little hint to all mutants where Eden was so they all could be safe. It's intentionally ambiguous but the oldest mutant knows where to go because he talked to someone from Eden through radio.
You might want to pay attention to plot details if you want to review said plot or explain it to someone, so that you don't have to dismiss important points as "some bullshit I dont remember". One would think a filmmaker and a *writer* would know that. Maybe you should slow down and not do videos without proper preparation. I understand you are probably neck deep in other work, but when you literally build your fame on reviewing movies, the least you can do is actually watch them properly, because otherwise, there is no point. In this respect, this video is utterly atrocious. You complain about not knowing stuff that was clearly said, then you complain when some other things are being explained, because quote "Who gives a shit." If you don't give a shit about things being said, fine. But don't base a review on this approach without first noting that this review is done by a viewer who "did not really give a shit." In the end, you paint a picture of a film that sounds like utter, illogical, silly piece of crap, which this movie, out of all the comic book movies that came out in the recent years, really DOES NOT deserve. I'd never expect to see such a poor quality product from you. But I guess it gets views, so it goes. Also, did you seriously start the discussion about this film that deals with getting old, dying and one's legacy by freaking out over swears and tits? You Americans are just weird, sorry.
Vilkku "freaking out of swears and tits (and violence)" is what my parents complained about. Most especially my dad, who makes everything simple into a great story that relates to the Bible, couldn't look pass the gore and language to see the beautiful story. I understand his complaints, but rather than seeing a family come together (trust me, we've had our own family issues together that almost made it relatable in some scenes) he saw heads rolling, nothing more. Instead of anger, pain, and many other emotions, he heard idiotic words shouted.
I feel like Rob should always be the one who actually sees the movies when they do this from now on. Damn Doug, and I thought my observation skills sucked. *Spoilers* Evil doctor guy and his corporation are the reason there are no more mutants. The "horrible thing" Xavier did was accidentally kill a bunch of people with one of those super seizures like he had twice during the film. We learn early on from the nurse that the corporation has been developing a new and improved mutant weapon, which turns out to be the Wolverine clone. Hence why they don't need the mutant kids anymore and are trying to hunt them down. "Eden" is where said kids were supposed to meet up before crossing the border to Canada, which is supposed to be a safe haven for mutants. *End Spoilers* You're kinda doing the movie an unfair deservice, blaming it for you not paying attention. Rob was probably joking at the end, but your review really did come off as you "downplaying" the movie.
*THIS!* This is why I love it when both of you are doing these together. The movie and the review is not important. What's important is the way you guys okay off each other. The chemistry. The lulz!
Well when he rewatches it maybe he'll get why it's so great, he's explaining it like a guy who watched it like 4 years ago and can't even remember most of it.
I've seen TDK a couple of time. But it isn't even in my top 3 of favorite comic book movies. I am myself not a very big Batman fan. I truly like the movies, but I prefer the movies with more interpersonal relationships like Days of Future Past. Also I grew up with the X-men animated series and later on with the first X-men movies. And that's why the X-men became my favorite comic book franchise
For me it's 1. Logan 2. Days of Future Past 3. Civil War 4. Winter Soldier 5. The Dark Knight 6. Guardians of the Galaxy 7. Deadpool 8. Batman Begins 9. V for Vendetta 10. First Class
For me so far, these are my favorite comic-book superhero movies, in no particular order, which I find nearly perfect for the types of films they are: 1.) The Dark Knight Trilogy 2.) Batman: Under the Red Hood (might want to watch Mask of Phantasm a second time to see how it compares). 3.) Guardians of the Galaxy 4.) Captain America: Civil War 5.) Logan (saw it recently, so I would like to wait a while before being 100% sure that I loved this even more than Days of Future Past).
I totally agree with 2 out of the 3 Dark Knight movies. I prefer Batman Begins and the Dark Knight over the Dark Knight Rises. I haven't seen Batman: Under the Red Hood, but that is just because animated movies don't work for me that well. I don't know exactly why that is, but it is hard for me to connect to animated movies.
Drinking Game: take a shot when Doug gets something wrong.
Ryan The_Adjuster88 i dieded. Thank you very much
My liver cannot handle that...
Currently on verge of death.
No Thanks. I really dont want to end un the hospital
Ryan The_Adjuster88 I died
Guys, Rob saw Logan and agrees that he has no idea what had Doug so confused and many things were explained just fine. Apparently he enjoyed it immensely.
where did he say that? was it on twitter or in a video?
Facebook
thx
Could someone please leave
a link to Rob’s Facebook post.
Exactly. He makes that scene with the horses sound awful, but in truth it was well done and it made sense.
i like ur reviews but i still havnt seen ur logan review, i will in a bit
Nesty No problem buddy. The review is in my Logan Vs The Wolverine video. I compare and review both movies.
Lol I just realised that your contacting me through Doug's channel. I do reference this review of his in my comparison. :)
He's always been horrible at catching the obvious plot points though. Note intricately plotted films and Doug Walker DO NOT MIX.
New rule: You actually have to give a film a chance and pay decent attention before you're allowed to write a review.
TheRedRotorReverend XD agreed
TheRedRotorReverend That means he'd have to redo some Nostalgia Critic videos like The Matrix review. Seriously, at least half the plot-holes and complaints are explained in that movie just like this one.
If you're taking the NC videos too seriously, you might have a problem.
Tarv Is this isn't the NC
ehhh, I get where you are coming from, but some of those explanations are pretty hard to catch.
Doug, do you seriously not know what that "Terrible Thing" Professor X did was? They allude to it TWICE at least.
DoctaDaKing he killed people with his seizures
Some people don't want to pay attention.
I thought it got pretty clear once you start thinking "what happened to the other mutants?" Putting two and two together isn't hard.
Yeah, but no mutants at all because of that science guy? How'd he do it? Was it really the water or something?
Bernadette Adkins corn
andrewkful it was like 7 X-men or something, tha docter guy said he killed all mutants
Weaponized Corn Syrup. And no, I am not kidding.
thevoiceofreason 7 xmen and several hundred more in the area where xaviers school is in...meaning he also killed everyone at the school for the gifted
97% on RT doesn't mean its a 9.7 score, it means 97% of the critics tought it was above avarage/liked it. It doesn't mean its a masterpice. It also suggests that at the very least most people found something good in it and that the pros outweight the cons. How is that stil confusing?
A lot of people don't seem to understand how RT works, which is annoying
A 97% (97/100) score is fantastic! It means that the critics thought it was a masterpiece! You need to work on your percentages, buddy.
A near masterpiece.
The Wolverine clone (X-24) was in the movie as a metaphor for the rage Wolverine has been battling all his life.
Djinsin
As well as the fact it's not just Logan going up against a big, bad villain.
I'm 99% the word fuck was NOT used as much as you thought it was.
Damn I was high when I saw this movie and I still followed it better than Doug
DrRobertBischof dude me too
Same
lol why would you watch _this_ movie high..?
Like, I can understand if you're watching something like Dr.Strange but _this_ movie? *:D*
Same lol. But the dirty little secret of Channel Awesome is that Doug's a funny guy who really only kind of knows about film/film theory. I go to him to laugh at a movie, I'll go to someone like Lindsay for any actual deep analysis of one.
Bruce Wayne what do you mean
*in his Freddy vs Jason review*
"Now, hear ye millennials, there was a time where there were things called R rated films. They were called the Non-Pussy years."
*Logan comes out*
"Man, it was really flaunting its R rating too much."
You can't always be right unless you contradict yourself
MegaFriendlyCreeper There are movies that do "flaunt" it. Logan doesn't, though. That's what's weird.
+MegaFriendlyCreeper Do you feel that Doug isn't a good reviewer when it comes to comic book movies?
Every time they say "fuck" in Logan, it's in a situation where you would say it. Here's a little experiment to try out: Take a notepad with you and make a tally of how many times you say ANY swear in one day.
mounir maged hes not a good reviewer full stop, his reviews are him explaining what happens in the movie. start to finish
I cried at the end.
simon amorim who didn't lmao
This movie got to real for me
simon amorim I cried 2 times each when Xavier and Wolverine died and a 5th time in my car home
I almost did. But it was not strong enough for me to make me cry. It would probably had if the two characters are interacted more with each other.
simon amorim X
Same. Plus when Logan buried Xavier.
YFox Well, high-brow cinematography-focused movies and half-decent animated children's movies.
The movie made that pretty clear. Doug must have only been paying half attention.
Fuck they even have a conversation between a kid and someone talking about the kids getting Asylum once they cross the border.
It's easy when you don't share Doug's CanadaPSA-Trauma xD
Yeah Doug didn't pay much attention to this movie.. got a lot of things wrong.... While I didn't think this movie was as good as a lot of people say, most of his criticisms like this one are just wrong and due to not paying attention.
I really dislike how much a contrarian Douf wants to be. Every movie that's well received he nitpicks the tiniest details all the time
Christopher Buckley I love the guy but that's true.
Christopher Buckley yeah love his videos think he's a great guy, but my god he never seems to go with the crowd on good movies anything has to be something to say "well it's not amazing"
occupational disease
It also seems like he doesn't pay attention half the time considering how much of the plot he apparently didn't understand.
Well, his most successful videos are those where he pisses on bad movies, makes sense he would stick with that approach
rumour has it that if you're early nothing will happen...
Holy shit you're right
Slick Serpent Ashton Kutcher in Butterfly Effect disagrees
Sometimes even sad hand jobs can be climactic.
Slick Serpent WRONG
rumour has it if you are early you will be watching a video of two awkward nerds laugh to themselves for an hour.
Oh dude if you only knew how much more fucked up the comic is than the film.
Doug is terrible at describing this movie, lol
James Fisher ugh yes, thank you for putting it into words! XD
Thankfully, Rob did see it and he liked it, apparently.
Rob saw it, and disagreed with almost everything negative Doug said about this film.
How do you know?
I knew based on him briefly calling Logan amazing in the Fant4stic Real Thoughts video.
I wonder if doug was constantly falling asleep or looking at his cellphone while watching the movie, because many of his "very confusing" points are completely explained. *SPOILERS (kinda)*
.
.
Unfortunate. That's pretty unprofessional for a professional critic.
He couldn't even remember who shot the doctor in the end....
Jeff he killed 7 X-men it was said in that radio show
Didn't Logan cut the radio off before they explained further?
Rip bill paxton
The Abyssal Archivist after they report the deaths of the mutants he cuts it off so u can still get it
It was Westchester- said a number in the hundreds were hurt and 7 were killed.
I got a sense of that... Have stopped listening to their reviews in recent years... They have been coming across as pretentious drama queens...
Ahhhhh I am not in the UA-cam subscriber business, so how is that even relevant…
Guess I am not allowed to change my mind and migrate to other channels… Love your kangaroo logic there child...
See it, the first half is awesome* The second half is a mediocre tear-squeezer. And the X at the end... by god was that awful
Did you go to film school?
I felt this movie was less like a Comic Book movie and more like a Western. Which to be honest, suits the Wolverine portrayed in the movie. A perfect movie for Hugh Jackman to end his Wolverine career, while leaving the door open for serious roles in the future.
jaggededge11 Not to mention all of the allusions and references to Shane. Lol
Nah, I think Shane was such a subtle reference that it completely flew over my head :P
jaggededge11 Not surprised. Almost flew over mine as well. :P
Lol
You're blowing the swearing and violence out of proportion. It's used organically and is what Wolverine is.
coolerlame92 oh they criticized that movie too
Nathan Rojas not in the original Xmen series...
K.A.T Productions Yeah, but the character evolved. And especially the Old Man Logan they're going for in the film. Not the storyline, the character.
Really Doug? Hanging on a scene which didn't turned out in the movie like they used it in the trailer?
BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE! THE TRAILERS ARE NEVER MISLEADING!
Honestly, I don’t care that they put that trailer shot in the horse scene, because you can apply their exchange to the entire movie. Logan wants to be left alone after all he’s been through, and he assumes that the world can handle itself. But Charles reassures him that he still has to help all the good people left in the world.
Logan is Marvel's equivalent to The Dark Knight.
Smarky Wolf Reviews except the hero was actually the main character
Smarky Wolf Reviews nah it's not that good
lol it is like Dark Knight when you think of how many villains popped up at the end.
Smarky Wolf Reviews fox not marvel
+Nero Wayne (Artorias Alter Pendragon) I'm talking ALL of Marvel. Fox counts.
Okay, I legitimately have to ask this: Does Doug have ADD or something? It seems he missed half the plot points in the movie.
magnuskno hey I have ADHD and I remembered everything about the plot points
I have ADHD and I got all the points a lot better than Doug did.
I have ADD and I could follow it. I missed some tiny points and had to think about them afterwards.. More likely when comes to this movie Doug just didn't give a shit.
I have ADD and understood what happened in the movie
Pooparoo agreed. it's like he does it on purpose.
Pooparoo I couldn't comprehend what he was saying in his real thoughts of the avgn movie despite making a cameo and doing a Nostalgia Critic joke review. He sounded so nervous throughout that I thought he was going to shit on the movie.
Because they are.
At minimum its okay movie but to say its bad doesn't make any any sense. I personally found it to be the best Superhero Movie ever made.
Agreed. But you should blame the trailer, not the movie.
3:30 How is accepting the stupid anything like Stockholm Syndrome? You mean to tell me the movies abused and manipulated you into caring?
Eden never existed, but kids used the coordinats from the comics to gather near the canadian border.
“Never explain what Charles did”
Dude that was pretty heavily implied
“Never explained what Eden was”
Ok they practically Screamed the explanation
(Didn’t even talk about the casino scene)
OH COME ON!!
Alex Klepp well to be fair that's how most people think
if you look in the part were said "average rating" has a 7.9, if you look the dark knight is has a 8.6
Most people dont understand how Rotten tomatoes works tbh.
What did he say specifically?
"watch Doug poorly explain a movie he didn't really pay attention to." That should be the title of this.
Or why he wasn't blinded by cheap drama?
Rashad Dilbazi except this is a regular issue for Doug.
Josh Blanksby The villain was weak
Margaretha Falco I don't agree.
He did his job, and did it effectively. And i though the scientist villain really hamerd in the movies themes and ideas.
Why do people slam the 2013 Wolverine? True, the Origins one was beyond awful, and Logan is by far the best one, but Wolverine was solid.
Jalen Johnson finally! someone who likes the other Wolverine film
I agree. Not great but definitely watchable
Kaefer1973 yeah, that was why I tuned in. Too bad Rob hasn't watched.
Doug fucked it up so hard here.
He missed the plot in Rouge's One.
Brent Slade I wanted to hear Rob's opinion too
it kills me but i gotta down vote. the movie is extremely well made and it seems like doug didnt pay attention. if you dont suspend your disbelief you will be a joyless viewer of any movie.
Rob needs to go see Logan and upload a video of him punching Doug for being so wrong.
man, allways saying that spiderman of raimi its stupid but excusing the stupidity of amazing spiderman
Amazing spider man has it's flaws but it at least is closer to the actual comics than the raimi films.
closer in what way? i have been reading comics for years and i dont see that, not even in ultimate spiderman
(something the Raimi films did giving peter natural webbing, sorry but Spider man's super power isn't to shoot webs.)
Again I don't entirely feel the amazing spider man films are on point with what a spider man film should be.
Would anyone else prefer to see Lindsey's thoughts on this movie? Because unlike Doug she actually pays damn attention.
Aaron O'neil After her Guardians of the Galaxy 2 review and her recent "the whole plate" videos, her analysis of Logan would be amazing
I havent even seen the movie, I just wanted to watch this video because it's the earliest I've been to one of your videos. Just wanna say I love your content (I've seen your "after these messages" video too many times to count) and to keep it up!
Please dont take this review seriously, he didnt get alot of stuff from the movie and made serious moments look very silly.
If you're gonna review a movie on UA-cam,
Actually pay attention to the film...
"How ba dat?"
Uhh what Logan said when he was dying was completely audible. He tells Laura "Don't be what they made you," and then says "So this is what it feels like" after Laura calls him daddy.
This goes to show, as a movie reviewer you might watch the movie twice, and do some resurch before you do a review.
It would have been enough if he watched it once but actually paid attention, not "asking questions" in the review clearly answered in the movie.
Jeah, exactly. And this is not a randome guy, he's supose to be a pro movie reviewer and the way he explained the plot and all wosn't really good man, maybe he playd it up for comedic effect, but that forced laughter pisses me off, laugh when you feal like it.
Everyone get it right except doug.
Dino Sabalic Agree.
*research
When I saw the ending, it made me cry.
Blak3 Nikos what's your profile pic...for science
Quickkiller2880 No, why would you ask that
Blak3 Nikos I mean where did you get it
Blak3 Nikos thanks
Quickkiller2880 your welcome
I watched it. When the fat kid was being chased by the bad guys people laughed and clapped.
Dotty Dotts
We all did! 😂
Liz Harper: Re- Imagination lmfao!
Dotty Dotts why is this one of the only parts EVERYONE talks about? Its fucking funny but still
d1asian I gues so lol. I laughed because of the reaction the scene got from the people.
When Cinemasins does this movie they're going to say "tripping while running away from danger cliche" *ding*
Leave it to Doug to be a hipster and say anything popular is overrated.
GarbageDayProductions garbage day!!!
🗑🔫
thx1085 I appreciate that you get me.
And to think that Ghostbusters 2016 was fine
He doesn't agree with me so he's a hipster and popular things are infallible!
The film is acclaimed so why not be brave and trash it is whats going on. The score on RT is decreasing as some critics have to trash it even though they can say its an okay movie.
"The Wolverine was boring."
Everyone who actually chose to watch this video of two people sitting and talking about comic book movies:
"I actually really enjoyed The Wolverine."
Days of the future past was WAY better than Apocalypse IMO.
UknownAssassin lmao
absolutely
Doug,... were you half asleep or high when you watched this movie???
Well, Rob said Doug wasn't, sooooooo...
+Ross Pit: Shark Hunter Even your brother is saying you aren't paying enough attention to the movies, Douglas!
Favorite film of the year thus far, by far; Can't remember when I cried
about a film as much as I did when Laura turned over that cross...
Beautiful, just beautiful!
Was pretty clear in the film that Eden was the midway point off the cliff, not the absolute goal.
I actually love that X-23 barely talks, they actually manage to give her a character despite that, which is really cool
Saw this today with every age range at 11:10am and every kid was under 10 and screamed at Logan and X-23 killing people and immediately shut back up to watch the rest, it was one of the few times I've been in the theater and everybody was on the same wave watching something
"all the money goes to hugh jackman" Hugh Jackman took a salary cut because he wanted to do an R-rated movie
make a note before doing a review
I look at the horses bit as Xavier subconsciously teaching Logan what he's meant to do with Laura, but using the horses as an example. It's symbolic of Laura
I don't understand people who say this movie swears for the sake of swearing and that it does it excessively. What movie did you watch?
Charles first accidental mental attack killed every one in x mansion except for wolverine
it seemed obvious to me
That scene Charles was explaining that he finally understood what happened at the old X mansion in Winchester, that he had a seizure and actually killed all the Xmen with his mental overload.
The farmer tried shooting Logan because he blames him for ruining his life. If Logan never went to their house, X-24 would have left the family alone.
How come you guys never mention Days of Future Past when discussing you're favorite? I think that's probably the best X-men film overall.
Guys, Doug is just trying to convince Rob it's good by saying things wrong.
Logan is an excellent emotional film. I'm sure you're not gonna bleed at all this time, Rob.
I disagree with Doug saying the Spider-Man films are stupid movies.
30:48 What a golden reference :D
Say what you want about the film, but Dafne Keen was great. A child actress in a main role with almost no dialog. And she nailed it.
That makes for a special kind of actor.
MrLozengerZ freddy vs jason was r rated now we have pussy ratings. then logan comes out he complains about it being to r rated lol
Wow , that's so true
Why does Rob keep saying Rogue was twelve in the original trilogy? She was quite clearly around seventeen or eighteen.
26:06 that voice crack tho
This seems like it will be frustrating to watch.. The review I mean. I'll pass on this video.
Yeah, it was.
The whole time I was screaming in my mind "NO, NO, NO that is soo wrong!"
Yeah, Doug gets at least half of the details wrong, so yeah, painful. 😓
God damit Rob! Go watch this movie!!! Its fucking amazing and that comes from someone who hates the first two wolverine movies.
But don't base a review on this approach without first noting that this review is done by a viewer who "did not really give a shit."
In the end, you paint a picture of a film that sounds like utter, illogical, silly piece of crap, which this movie, out of all the comic book movies that came out in the recent years, really DOES NOT deserve.
Zach Hutch He likes the Bible, but complains about violence? Damn.
Yup and the word you are searching for is annoying
Doug is getting old he wants things to be simple like Mad Max
Underrated comment right here. Too bad Doug couldn't appreciate the movie for what it is
Relationship with Xavier and Logan is like father and son
When he says "Maybe like a fourth of this happened, and not like this" it sounds like every comic book nerd on this movie adaptations XD
Logan is one of the best comic book movies I've ever seen
Was he on his phone the whole movie
I feel like Rob should always be the one who actually sees the movies when they do this from now on. Damn Doug, and I thought my observation skills sucked.
*Spoilers*
Evil doctor guy and his corporation are the reason there are no more mutants.
*End Spoilers*
You're kinda doing the movie an unfair deservice, blaming it for you not paying attention.
Why does it seem like Doug didn't watch the movie but only read the wiki for it.
I'd go with: "Because he didn't pay attention to the details and thus missed half the plot line resolutions".
This was painful to watch.
Goes to show how much Doug doesn't care about important things like "research"
For me X-men: Days of Future Past is the best comic book movie of all time.
(Haven't seen Logan yet)
Clearly you haven't seen TDK yet.
For me it's
1. Logan
2. Days of Future Past
3. Civil War
4. Winter Soldier
5. The Dark Knight
6. Guardians of the Galaxy
7. Deadpool
8. Batman Begins
9. V for Vendetta
10. First Class
For me so far, these are my favorite comic-book superhero movies, in no particular order, which I find nearly perfect for the types of films they are:
1.) The Dark Knight Trilogy
2.) Batman: Under the Red Hood (might want to watch Mask of Phantasm a second time to see how it compares).
3.) Guardians of the Galaxy
4.) Captain America: Civil War
5.) Logan (saw it recently, so I would like to wait a while before being 100% sure that I loved this even more than Days of Future Past).
Rob's face when Doug tells him the trailer scene is about horses at 8:24.
"Strapping giant lasers to velociraptors" SOLD! Give me Dino Riders. Now.
