Linking devices was not shown, particularly what is noted on Yamaha's literature and on a few websites including the intro here. It appears that the WX-010 is unable to read Yamaha receiver protocol, including an HDMI-connected CD. Thinking this WX-010 was a waste of money, since it doesn't function as a remote, wireless speaker to my receiver...even one of the same brand. I might expect this in 2005 but not now.
Sure the hardware is good but not so the software to run it. I have had the Yamaha Musiccast system for almost a year and it's buggy and not very intuitive. Also, they don't offer Google Play Music nor UA-cam Music as a streaming service. This is insane. One of the most widely used music services in the world and it isn't included in the app. I'm a huge fan of all Yamaha products (from motorcycles, to instruments and audio) however, I am really disappointed in Musiccast.
The speaker "will" broadcast a movies audio track, yes. It can't necessary function as a surround sound speaker though if that's what you are hoping for.
The title is linking procedure .. but you don't show how to link two or more room :-(
man you don't explain how to link the 2 rooms
Good start, but does the topic not mean that your are "linking" two rooms?

Starts 3.45 But useful video. To be fair though, when this was made this was the fashion for videos.

Can the speaker be used with movies also?
