i do agree that csa should look into doing a income and expenditure form especially as we are in a cost of living crisis. but he’s very ignorant and foolish with how he won’t pay a penny coz he has debts. that ridiculous. so you eat, cloth and take care of yourself but you don’t look about your child. WOTLESS. so now her man will take care of your responsibilities and his kid with her. ok. he’s not even willing to pay something affordable directly to her to start with.

My opinion is this man is possibly narcissistic because how is he living with the woman straight away and taking out big loans to buy a car in her name? he didn't even know her like that. Then he saying she is self harming for his attention !! sounds like he drained the hell out of her and left her pregnant and vulnerable. Got what he wanted and moved on... Now she has moved on he cant manipulate her why he was thinking to step out the picture. That mad no sense.

      1) For a man to really see a woman as his woman she needs to be useful. This includes using her credit rating to get ahead. Doesn't mean he plans to use/abuse her. It's just how a stable couple work.
      2) The self harming is his assessment as he had a front row seat. I would take his word for it as he was the one in the situation and there is no evidence to the contrary
      3) drained her, left her pregnant and vulnerable? In this you're making her sound like child with no accountability or responsibility for anything. No woman gives her resources and gets pregnant unless she was open to it. He did not put a gun to her head
      4) got what he wanted and moved on? Most men don't just want to get a woman pregnant and leave. Many men experience a change once a woman gets pregnant. Not every guy can handle the change. But I'm sure he wanted an intact family from the effort he made, taking on debt, to benefit his child
      5) thinking about leaving removes the risk of conflict. Its got nothing to do with control. The fact he stayed shows despite considering the easier more peaceful life, he put the needs of someone else first.
It's a shame society has programmed people to only see the negative in men

Regardless of good or bad credit, the fact is to finance a case in family court without legal aid is expensive. Without taking that action I would have little contact with my child and zero rights as a father. So I put myself in a vulnerable financial position to have the ability to be in my child’s life. Now that case is over, I have a life to rebuild and a young child to care for 40/60 or 144 days.
Would you prefer I sacrifice contact with my child to send her mother money or that I maintain consistent weekly contact with my child and provide care for her while she’s with me?? I don’t need your answer cause I know what I’m doing right now.
When I am able to pay CSA I will, I never said I wouldn’t. You lot just like to hear whatever triggers you

You can work with children/childcare until your DBS comes through. But you have to be supervised at all times whilst working. It probably makes sense for the employer to wait until the DBS comes through, until employing someone. Normally a DBS should not take so long to be done, six months is a longtime to wait.

I understand the sentiment. When a woman goes to CSA she is open to potentially ruining the father financially and did not care. Only limiting expenses to CSA may de-incentivise women from exploiting men. Because the CSA could go down if he goes self employed. Much better to compromise and keep the courts out of your parental agreement. Where I disagree is not wanting to secure a child's future because of CSA as that's making spite for the mother take precedent over the child's best interest
