Also what you could do is put on some positive Co- parenting or mother/father relationships/marriages. We need to highlight the positive movements of families especially in the black community.
Dont give up on the podcast

What I’d suggest for alternative content, bring fathers you’ve had historically on the pod who you know are genuine and let them share updates with how things are going post their court dramas.
The channel has done phenomenally well in sharing how us fathers have battled the system, it’ll also be good to see follow ups so people can remain motivated and inspired when they hear positive stories of how their relationship is going with their kids post court drama.

The irony is you can actually choose not to deal with these fathers.. meanwhile Sharon up the road has and will be dealing with it for YEARS! At least you’re able to see things through the eyes of mothers dealing with joke ting fathers.

I,m a man with 3 baby Mom's, and I have never had any problems...
When are men gonna realise that it is always our fault, We choose the women we lay with. Women react to inconsistent men. Consistency and being a man of your word is everything...
Some males don't know how to be men, and I guess they need to be taught...

When I came on, I was seriously ill and was in hospital the next week for a few weeks. I so badly wanted to reschedule but I have the sense to know that it's someone's time, money and convenience that is affected. Some people, have no regard for anybody else's inconveniences let alone their children. The childishness of people is real.

On the Flip Side.. I am the resident parent (father) mother had supervised contact at a center.. I tried to work with them for over 5 years.. the mother was so inconsistent that I had to end the sessions because it was affecting our daughter negatively because she kept on being disappointed.. when I went back into the court order, it actually supports this.. actually directed me that if the mother does not follow the guidelines of the contact arrangement... Then it is to be reduced to indirect contact eg. Letters... The court understands that inconsistency is not good for a child's welfare. #Facts.

Good for calling this type of behaviour out, as that’s the only way a clear message will be sent into our community that such fathers are not welcome in a productive honest space. May there be no place to hide for fathers who do not put their best foot forward. This is just a snippet of what mothers have to experience with some of these men, our community should not allow this in any capacity. Good job 👍🏾

I think, and i see this a lot with new podcasts, there's a reliance on "interviews" which often falls flat as interviewing is a niche. I think shift strategy to discussions with your friends about your personal journeys, issues, and successes like how it was at the beginning, and ad hoc guests here and there to discuss together an issue they bring up.

Accountability is the key. Fathers who want things redacted, retracted, taken out of the podcast, after they gave you their stories are 'red flags'and its the same for people who don't show up at the times agreed, don't call or respond to your messages. They do this in relationships too, its part of their DNA that needs fixing.
But, at the end of the day, these are the fathers that women chose to have kids with, then complain that these men are no good. And some of these women have 2, 3, 4 ,5 children with different men all doing the same thing. What's the common denomination?
And for the Baby Fathers staff, maybe you need another way of vetting these men so that they don't waste anymore of your time and/or money. Tweaking the process will help to get the real men who need your support.

Now you understand what black women have been going through for generations in the UK. From the Winndrush, and most likely before, when many Caribbean males just left their wives or partners to raise their children and never looked back. Their sons, grandsons, and in some cases grandsons are behaving the same way. Yes there are some degenerate/dysfunctional black women out there, but generally if a male is doing the decent honourable task of being a loyal, supportive and protective father, the mother will respond positively. Even if the father doesn't provide financial because of his circumstances, but he is present in his child's/children's life, mum will respond positively. Like the podcaster said, showup when you said you are going to be there or phone and let the other party know. What is so hard? When will black men grow up? I know big black hard back Caribbean men in the UK in their 50', 60s and 70' plus who still indulge in juvenile behaviour. And no one says a word!

I understand when a dad doesn’t want to give the mum money for the child, maybe you don’t trust or see how it’s spent. Why wait for her to start saving, you have P.R too so can save it.
As a single mum who didn’t get any financial contributions please factor in expenses such as hair care, skin care, school trips, extracurricular activities, tuition & books in addition to clothing & uniform and food.
I have found it really interesting when some dads think buying new tracksuit or trainers is amazing and think they are dad of the year.
Why not open a junior isa or stocks & shares and put half away to invest & the other half to the mum . We have to start thinking ahead and setting them up for the future
If your child is of a certain age & you’ve taught them how to budget, you could pay them directly via standing order.
A lot of dads don’t follow either of these methods because they want to maintain control of how their finances are spent on the child. But after a while the child will learn how and what was contributed to their life and if their dad has been inconsistent they are likely to reject them when they become a teen or young adult.
