10:20 Lol why wasn't that jegantha terrible? Sure it's the 8th card in hand, but that card is essentially only a 5 mana 5/5 since with only single colored mana requirements it basically only taps for 1 mana per card you cast THIS PHASE. Phoenix is clearly better here imho

If the other card was anything other than _the_ premium red removal? Jigantha was way better than phoenix
a 5/5 on turn 5 is infinitely better than a 4/4 flyer on turn 27.
what are the odds that you get the 4/4 on turn 4? like 11/40?
So 1/4th of the time you _get_ to *discard a random card* (aka not drawing that 7th extra card) to get a 4/4 flyer for 4 instead of a 5/5 for 5 on 5.
It's reeeeally easy to undervalue companion effects especially in limited where card advantage is the name of the game.
a somewhat extreme thought experiment would be asking why he's running 17ish lands when he clearly only needs 6.
Honestly if the companion was a 2 mana 2/2 with no ability or a land it would still be arguable.
not to mention all 4 of the blue and white common/uncommon removal spells deal with pheonix just as easily...
