    Ohhhh man ! I was waiting for some more Laphroaig wars ! Awesome review. This is where my heart is…..nothing but Laphroaig !
    My top whisky overall is the CS Laphroaig…..with no water. So much taste ! My 4th overall is the Sherry cask…..my only minor “complaint “ would be actually to get some more Sherry notes from it. But man, Ardbeg and Lagavulin are great…..but nothin’ beats that sea salt tobacco of Laphroaig ! Really enjoying your wars….as always, keep them coming !

      Don’t worry, I will! I have 2 videos per week planned already that will last me at least until September so plenty more still to come! Laphroaig also rarely puts out a poor release too, very very good whisky. Thanks for watching!

    Great battle, but would love to see the Sherry Oak vs the Triple Wood! The CS is a wonderful dram and probably the best core Laphroaig. However, the fruity sweetness of the Sherry Oak against the seaweed bonfire of the peat is such an interesting juxtaposition, I have to go with the Sherry Oak as the winner. Cheers!

      I’ll record that for you, I must admit, I’m really excited to see how they both compare too. It will all come down to that QC influence vs the extra age of the 10 year sherry oak. Cheers!

    These are amazing drams. A good reminder I need to review the 10 Sherry Oak. Like you said, both excellent, but cost puts the Sherry Oak out front for me. I love Sherry/Wine and full peat. A great combination. Thanks for sharing!

      Well said! I really like having a sherried laphroaig without the quarter cask influence too. I adore the QC, possibly my favourite still but I think I prefer it without that addition when sherried now, cheers!

    These videos with painting, livingroom and a table work aswell. Mood is different though. )) They don't argue with eavh others in slme way if and in in any case whiskies fight with eachothers.
    Cheers man. I kerp on watching how you do. ))) Also an enthusiast for good pour. ))

      @@WhiskyWars I think your early videos had nice and internetin background. Still this new with sofa and painting behind is is more calm and better.

    10 CS is superb! One of the best I've tasted in my whole life! (44+ tasted a lot!).Sherry is also delicious but 10 CS is something that I was not expected. Need to taste PX version.

    • @WhiskyWars
      @WhiskyWars  Місяць тому

      True, I’ve yet to try the PX version, I have the triple wood which is oloroso just like the sherry oak but with quarter cask influence in there too. Both great whiskies! I totally understand why you like the 10 CS so much 🥃

    Thanks. This was a good war. Ive had the 10yo CS and enjoyed it very much. It drinks lower than its ABV. I'm not overly fond of the regular 10yo.
    The CS is suprizingly light for its ABV, but balanced.
    Regarding 10yo Sherry Oak, it's a whisky I want to try, but I'm hesitant because of the prize. It's £75 here. Smoke and sherry really are my type of combo. For now I keep it high on my wanted list, and let it be for now. This summer is going to be a stretch economically with our 18yo son graduating from school, and me and my girlfriend planning on celebrating our 90th birthday combined 🤗
    Unfortunately I'm quite alone in my whisky enthusiasm among both familys and friends, so there's not going to be a lot of whisky there.

      @WhiskyWars  5 місяців тому +1

      Don’t worry I have that issue too! Congrats to your son and I hope you and your girlfriend have a great ‘90th’ - the whisky can wait for now, those things are more important. All the best!

    I adore the 10 yo CS the most! Both are wonderful but the CS wins every time! Great video! Cheers! 🙂

    you 100% right, both whiskies are great drams. Depends on the day or mood. I liked sherry wood as a daily dram. Little bit muted for me even at 48% compare to QC which is much more punxhy, that smack in the face what i love in Laphroaig. Never had CS batch 12 but what i know from reviews 12 is one of the best batches. Curently i have open batch 14 and 15 whixh i think is slighty better but i like both. Also have open 16 which is superb. While watching your video( which is nice, i like it and have fun as your every battle) i have my wee war sipping Laphroaig Lore and Ledaig 18. Lore has lovely nose but taste is bit disappoitnig for me with few off notes and over dry finish. Ledaig 18 nose is nice and rounded but bit muted. Taste is really good with complex flavourful boldy long finish but both are good drams. Cheers and slàinte 🤠🥂🙋🏻‍♂️

      Funny you should say that, I’ve just opened and recorded my first impressions with the 16 year old! It’s fantastic as you say. Bit early for me to say but definitely in contention to be my favourite so far. I think I’d maybe say QC is my go to out of all so far but I have drunk this sherry oak fairly quick so that’s saying something. Laphroaig have released a lot of quality releases that’s for sure so it’s a great debate to have. Also you’ve peaked my interest with the ledaig 18, i loved the 10 and I’d imagine I’d love the 18 too, cheers!

      @@WhiskyWars 🤩 coincidence? i do not think 😅. you will love Ledaig 18 for sure.I dont know is it only me but Imho Laphroaig CS and 16 is fantastic from 1st sip from the bottle, dont need to wait down the bottle neck pour. Its dangerously addicting 😎. i think im finnishing my session 2nite with 16yo but at the moment i sipping Meikle Toir sherry one which i strongly recommend to you. You can get it for £37.56 at MoM and you will be so surprised how good it is. I poured a dram of it to the glass i just was drinking Ledaig 18 and its magical. Cant wait for your impressiion of Laphroaig 16 in a battle Cheers 🤠🥂🥂🥂🙋🏻‍♂️

      It really is! Oh I haven’t heard of that one, I’ve just written it down for when I next go shopping, it won’t be for a while though hopefully! 😅 it sounds great though, I actually have the peated sherried Acnoc against the Glendronach Traditionally peated ready to post next Monday but it’s really opened my eyes into peated sherry speyside bombs.
      thanks, same I can’t wait to record that war, I think maybe with the 10 or the 10CS to go up against the 16?
