  • In my last video I demonstrated an issue that I was having with a faulty Pneumatic Pump. The most popular suggestion was to use Super Glue, so in this video I have applied a little drop of Super Glue to my faulty Pneumatic Pump to try and fix it.
Thank you to everyone that provided comments and suggestions on my last video ( • Pneumatic Pump Issue ).

best way to repair abs is to "weld" it with an soldering iron. Superglue will not seal your crack forever. just take another lego brick off the same color and melt it in place.

+widdi1997 - Thanks for your comment. I've already applied Super Glue and it seems to be sealing the crack ok so far. If it breaks again in the future I'll keep your comment in mind.

you can use some sort of black tile (1x2 for example) and melt it to a liquid and cover the crack

this should be permanent! lego's are ABS; acrylonitrilbutadieneSTYRENE. this styrene part dissolves when in contact with cyanoacrylate or superglue, much like how model cars and planes (eg. revell kits) are not just 'glued', but welded together. try glueing styrene scraps (broken cd case), and you will notice the weling. so, as long as the glue was all over the crack, it should have been welded shut! a less sticky solution is to use nail polish as this has the same effect but doesnt stick. cheers from belgium!

A soldering station with good temperature control (perhaps one of those little ts100 units) is the way to go. With a bit of practice you can make high quality welds and don't have to worry about solvent getting where you don't want it.
