  • In this video I drive the new Maxus eDeliver3 (EV30) electric van and see what the real world range is. I take the 35kWh model out for a drive and drive at normal speeds on a mix of rural, main A-road, dual carriageway and city driving.
    The Maxus range of electric vans are available to buy from Go Green Autos and with often the eDeliver3 vans in stock for immediate delivery nationwide.
    Since filming this video, I've read that the WLTP figures are with a 750kg load in the back.
    The Maxus eDeliver 3 playlist (i.e. more videos) is • Maxus eDeliver 3

    Since filming this video, I've seen someone say that the WLTP figures are with a 750kg load in the back. This seems rather high, but then that would explain the lower range.

    Like an episode of Morse or Lewis, you start off entering Oxford from the north, then by the time you get to the centre you're coming in from the east!

    just saw a German Maxus e video opening the bonnet...it looks like there is to stick available to keep the bonnet in open position.??.. You have to ''reserve'' one arm to keep the bonnet open... but how do you then top up the anti freeze for the wipers?

    I wish the 72 kw battery would be available as well. How quick does the van response when putting it in reverse.. I read that certain brands have a delayed response when putting the EV in reverse?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  3 роки тому +1

      You foot must be on the brake to put it into reverse. If not, then it is delayed until you press the brake. Catches some out.

      Our diagnostic scanner, while it can read the ECUs and error codes on the eDeliver3, it isn't reporting any live information from the BMS, yet. The eDeliver3 is only a year old, so the third party diagnostic companies haven't developed the complete diagnostic software for the Maxus yet. They tend to take a couple of years on new models.
      I don't know of any phone apps yet that can read the BMS ECU.
      I would also suggest there isn't really a need yet, as these vehicles are only up to 1 year old, so any worries about degradation aren't really needed for many many years yet. I would expect degradation to only be about 1% per annum.

    Very good video I used to drive a normal van
    and after a day of driving very tired.
    what is the full range of a env 200 Nissan 24 kw

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  3 роки тому

      A 24kWh ENV200 does around 80-90 miles in the summer if driven efficiently.

    a interesting video and look forward to more updates .The price stated on your website seems quite high for a unknown make with limited dealer back up for the same money you can get a Citreon Expert with 50 KW pack and a bigger and more established dealer net work.
    I don't think a Nissian env 200 is a fair comparison as these are old vans now but they do have 40kw pack and are cheaper new ,I think the price has to be more competitive to sell these.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  3 роки тому

      The Maxus are cheaper, but the silly way the UK grants is implemented skews the figures. The Maxus gets a £3,000 grant, whereas the Peugeot Expert (and other vans based on the same PSA vehicle) get a £6,000 grant.
      This is why I compare the Maxus in the same category as the ENV200, Kangoo Maxi and Partner L2 as the grant puts it in this category as the Maxus is a SWB. The Expert has a larger load capacity and it in the class above and hence qualifies for the later grant.

      It's not really an 'unknown' make, as it's a rebranding of LDV, (Leyland DAF Vans). Though now Chinese owned.

    What's your thoughts on these now? I live in the Highlands and chargers are every 50 miles , do you think env200 40 or a 35kw version of this or poss the 52 of this. What are they like in winter for range? Thankyou for your review.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  2 роки тому +1

      52kWh eDeliver3 over a 40kWh ENV200 any day. Range is about 150-200 miles.

      @@GoGreenAutos do you think it will last like a nissan , aluminium and steel together not cause corrosion?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  2 роки тому

      @@lookoutleo Yes I was a little bit concerned about aluminium and steel together. Only time will tell. If they have a gasket between the metals, it should be ok. I was reminded of my days with old Land Rovers where they had a steel frame in the doors and aluminium body panels and the doors would always rot out at the bottom.

    First thoughts were you have no load, what works van goes out without a load? if you are going to convince tradesmen to buy these vans you need to put a real life case forward. Otherwise good review, it would be a good idea to mention how much that drive cost compared to a diesel pumping machine. So I've done it for you, I would say at 4.6 miles per 5p (best case) so the total cost would be 16 x 5p = 80p. Currently diesel cost £1.50 per gallon and if you get 40 miles to the gallon then that's a running cost of £3.00. So tradesmen work out your yearly fuel running costs and deduct 75% of that fuel bill and that's your savings right there!!! Plus if like this guy you can get another .4 of a mile out of it then the saving s are even more!! Not to mention no road tax, and very little servicing costs.

    1:24 - Is that 'piano black' and a ghastly dust magnet or have they designed it to look filthy from the factory?
    12:36 - Adam Buxton on tonight.
    www.oxfordplayhouse.com/whats-on/all-shows/adam-buxton-rambles/13501
    16:30 - that's going to do 110 miles even in winter isn't it? Entirely reasonable. (Looks like a ghastly, and will get broken very quickly, charge port cover though)
    Decent van though. If I was in the market, I'd be looking at one.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  3 роки тому +1

      Yes the low sun made the piano black plastic look dirtier than it was. But they do arrive dirty and this one hadn't been cleaned yet. Its transit to us, is from China to Ireland, then over to UK mainland, then across the country from the Maxus dealership to us. So you can see why they pickup some dust.
      I would expect 3-3.5mpkWh in the winter, so that would be a range of around 93-109 miles.
