As Someone who has crochet for a while, this would have been an awesome project when I was a beginner. Everything is very clear to follow and is simple. Thank you
I didn't have any stuffing, so I grabbed an old tennis ball and closed it up around that. This was the perfect size for a tennis ball!! It's stinking adorable!! Great tutorial!
Hi Bella, I just want to say thank you so much for your amazing videos and easy to follow instructions. I'm pretty sure this pumpkin was the first stuffed thing I ever crocheted and it turned out very well. I actually used a somewhat similar concept when I taught myself to make a chicken. Whenever someone asks me who they should watch, your name is the first one that comes to mind. thank you:)❤❤❤🥰
Thank you for this tutorial. It took me a couple of attempts to master but I made a few and put them in a little basket. They looked lovely and although I can't see my mum, who has dementia, at the moment due to the covid circumstances, I left them on her doorstep and saw her reaction ........ just perfect. She really loved them. Thank you so much. Your tutorials are so helpful 🙂
love this! thank you, you are describing everything just the way I need it. But it is 2 times the width, not 3 and thankfully I realised it before sewing it together! Please make a note on the video to warn others
Tks for the tip! I wasn't paying full attention when i watched video the first time round and would have made 3 times the width if i hadn't seen your comment.
Hello! I have been crocheting for a long time. This video is very beginner friendly. I like how you have a notice to pause. You also go slowly and explain what you are doing. I also like the finishing technique. The yarn also comes up well on video. Congrats on a very well made video!
I just want to say thank you so much, after looking through many videos your tutorial was the only slowed down version that made sense to me! My first try was rough so I have a little wonky mustardy orange pumpkin, but it's a start!
Thank you! I’d love you to do more specific follow along patterns for beginners. You do a lot of how to do certain stitches but I love to follow patterns for specific things and so many channels are really hard to understand
I work retail and have a lot on my plate. I'm crocheting 12 turkey hats for Thanksgiving, and after seeing these, I will be making some pumpkins for our table decor! Who needs sleep! Very clear instructions. I love listening to you!
@@paulodonnell3439 aw! i first started a couple of weeks ago and i had the same issue - i suggest starting with something easy like a hat or head ban to get used to making the stitched first then come back and try again! it made a huge difference for me! good luck!
I had just been reading an article on Google about making these but as I was reading it I just wasn't "seeing" it. So I am so glad you made these. Can't wait to make a few!
I've made two of these so far in a sort of cream tweed chunky and think they look quite designer! I stuffed a cinnamon stick in the top. Tomorrow I am off to get some nice orange chunky to make a few more to go round the house
Thank you for the awesome tutorial! I'm a crochet newb and these were perfect to practice the craft. I made 4 of them so far and handing them out to friends
Thank you for your video's I have been enjoying them. I am a left handed crocheter and even though your right handed, your instructions are impeccable. I will make these pumpkins for my fall decorations! Love it!!
You are very welcome, I do have a left handed tutorial for this pumpkin, here is the link:- ua-cam.com/video/TI3ieGwY2o0/v-deo.html I hope this helps :)
It’s actually twice the length, not 3 times 😬 because one of the 3 layers when you fold it, is the height not the length x I only realised because I actually made one 3x the length and it was far too big 🤣 then when I read watched the video, I saw where I went wrong 😑 hope this helps someone else and saves them from doing the same as me 🤣 great little pumpkin tutorial though! Thank you 😊
Thanks, always a great easy to follow tutorial.Just a quick tip,is if your using old bits of tatty yarn I find it helps to make the yarn slightly damp as it makes it easier to work with on this intricate icord.😉
It’s nearly 3am in Australia and I just crocheted my first pumpkin sitting up in bed lol. I’ve made them using my Addi circular knitting machine but never crocheted...it was so fun! I used a muted orange and dark brown stem. Thank you!
Oh my goodness gracious! This was soooo easy and fun to make! Though it did take me a couple hours, the results were priceless! I always check out Belle Coco’s videos first when I need a crochet tutorial, her videos are so easy to follow, and give the perfect step-by-step instructions! She tells you when to pause the videos, and walks through every step, including the stitch, and what certain terms mean! Happy fall!
Thanks so much for this clear and understandable video! I am used to working in the round (amigurumi) so turning was a bit confusing and I'd end up with slanted ends. Your video cleared that up for me .. thank you! It also took me a while to make the stitches loose enough because I am used to doing super-tight stitches. Fourth time lucky! It's looking good. Thanks :o)
I just did this using lion brand wool-ease think & quick in the color coney island. I chained 20. It turned out absolutely gorgeous! Think it's by far one of my favorite pumpkins I've made to date!
I just finished mine and (without counting breaks) it only took me about 45min to make! I love it and it turned out absolutely wonderful! My tips would be to be careful at the beginning and ends of rows, as it can be easy to accidentally drop a stitch. I dropped off one somewhere, but it still turned out perfect- so don’t worry if you do! And while she suggests using more stitches/rows to get different sizes, just using a larger size yarn worked for me! I used an 8.00mm hook with appropriately sized yarn, and followed her pattern exactly, and my pumpkin turned out to be about six inches across and four inches tall, give or take depending on how it gets squished, haha!
This is just what I was looking for! Thank you. I love how clearly and simply you explain achieving different sizes. I'm currently working these in orange, teal and ivory! They'll carry my decor through from late August all the way to Thanksgiving 🥰🧡💙🤍
Thank you so much Sarah-Jayne for this easy to follow video. I have made a selection of 4 different sizes in the past few days and I’m thrilled with them. Fab Autumn decor 🎃🍂
OMG You are amazing Bella, never crocheted before but I started with your squares and I made 7 little squares 4 days ago. And then I saw your Pumpkin and fell in love. So this morning at 10am I started and finished at 3pm. Not bad for a first timer. I also cooked lunch in the middle of it. I love my Pumpkin. Thank you I wish I could post you a picture of it 🧡🖤🎃🖤🧡

Just a thought.... the three time width for the length... this is surely pumpkin Pi !
Eyyyyyyy ( Pumkin Pi, Pumkin Pie )
The sad part is, that it is not triple the length but only double.

Yes, I had to undo a load of rows after making it too long! Great tutorial otherwise 🎃
She said 3x's the length AS the width, that's why it's folded over that way. Am I the one not understanding? It makes sense to me🤷
