Like an s2000 they are really fun to drive its not fast in a straight line but its fun to drive because it rips down a twisty back road at 9000 rpms and on thoose roads not many cars can keep up with high hp. I have a 518 whp rb25 s13 coupe and i enjoy driving my 275 whp 180sx just as much if not more on certain roads
This car can be described with one word BALANCE, many people doing crazy builds with 800 hp and more but then who has de guts to drive them fast at the track? No one because they are undrivable.. just straight line performance, which is good if you are aiming for drag races. People these days asks you how much hp your car has and if you say between 250-300 it's like beh, it's ok... but that hp with a lightweight car and a well round balanced car can make suffer many 600 hp cars at the track....
That is probably the best and nicest FD2 iv seen in a long time😍👏🏼, cool video guys, the sound of that civic is unreal..can’t beat a good old V-tec sound track!😅…props to the owner what an unreal build and a genuine car guy who knows his stuff, quality👊🏼💯

Great video ricky, the build is spot on for some B road blasting. The owner is real enthusiast which is cool to see and really knowledgeable about his car. You can't beat raw NA vtec power in honda.. that vtec noise is so addictive!! If you see the front of one of these in your rear view mirror.. you just know you gotta move over and let it pass..

Absolutely love the car. FD2 is definitely something rare that you won’t see much at all! FN2 Champ white edition here and opted for the FD2 RRC inlet manifold on mine to help with power along with other parts. But the vtec revving all the way up to 8.6k on mine is just heaven. Enough power on the road and as you both said, very usable power!
Big up to the Geezer you can tell he like his car a lot. Knows it inside out. The only thing I would probably do in the future is a black carbon roof maybe. But certainly a rare car for sure

Loads of amazing FD2 Type R's here in Singapore. Most kept their stock spoilers but added body kits and carbon bonnets, still real clean builds tho. However they cost an avg of 120k to 150k here on the market
Got a fairly stock manual e91 325i and always been dreaming about this particular civic after trying an S2k.... Remap the n53 engine to 270ish HP and give it some nice coilovers & LSD or get one of these hand built sweeeeet civic imports in ANY configuration.... Very different philosophies... Father of 2 here soeaking... Dilemmas ❤ dilemmas 😅
Beautifully built FD2. These handle like a dream. Seen one on a track day it was as quick as Evos on a tight track. K20a the best 2.litre NA engine ever mass produced. Can't wait to get my DC5 back out to play

There are also super rare older honda civic saloons 2 door same as the Fd 2 that you will never or very unlikely to see same style and very comfortable seating position with the gearbox in the same location not on dash like the rest of them this car was at a motor show in Birmingham back in the day I have only seen 2 on the roads they come in dark colours but there is no mention or any documentation neither any information from Honda that's super rare

No one should ever underestimate this particular model of honda, even when stock with 220hp it's general set up and suspension the way it drives on any circuit could make alot of cars with more than 100hp more than itself look overrated honestly real talk it's that good. They are exceptional
@@pictlandpickers1171 depends on the set up of the car to be honest, if a machine can use all the power its got due to its supension and quality level damping then it will be very effective but yes too much power just means wheel spin
It’s a good car, but shame that it comes right before chassis engineering entering the next stages. If it was born on the right time, it will have longer wheelbase and wider wheel thread. A full double wishbone setup and thicker arms is possible.

I've seen a stock FD2 hustling Evos around a tight track. Unbelievable chassis
