Stunning solo guitar performance of Wes Montgomery's "Up and at it" by Tuck Andress at the annual Django Reinhardt Jazz festival at Samois-sur-Seine in 1992.
Such a shame that the audio quality is so terrible. You can't hear half of what Tuck's doing. All his trademark slaps, pops, and percussive clicks are virtually gone. If you're amazed by this, definitely check out the studio version on "Tears Of Joy". You'll be utterly blown away.
@md75yt38 ? Andy is an amazing player and person - so is Tuck. Maybe you can't carry an amp but Andy sure can. I have met them both. I admit this is one of my favorite solo performances and doubt there are many guitarist who can play this piece let alone compose it and its in standard tunning. I don't understand ripping on other players especially great ones.
Never, never go back to your planet Tuck!!!. :D
Been a long time fan. He is a jaw dropping talent! Oh how I wish I could play like that :)
Wouaw, what a guitarist..........
Una bestia , no hay palabras, un genio
He's just as vibrant as ever. Love his work! Saw him some ten years ago at the Blue Note with Patti and it blew my mind. He's so much fun!
Incredible! Love Tuck!
Great ! 🎸
Thanks for posting this!
a true trailblazer guitarist!!! nobody has this style and that perhaps because nobody can equal his technique
Great one !
HOT DAMN! LOVE THAT BOY!
he is a real monster
jewell
Why do people have to constantly make comparisons to other players? Each player brings their unique style to the table. Enjoy them all!
maravillosa intro!!
this guy is great, but why the FUCK is there no more wes montgomery original on you tube, bring it back! ! ! ! ! ! !

@md75yt38 Could you?
@EdmondPlic
il y bcp plus que l'esthétique dans ce que fait tuck, "c moche" c'est pas une facon de qualifier une musique qu'on ne comprend pas
