- Welcome to St John's College! Founded in 1511, St John’s combines 500 years of history with pioneering research and award-winning teaching.
Located on the River Cam in the heart of Cambridge, we are one of the largest - and definitely the most beautiful - Colleges of the University of Cambridge. St John’s provides students with a world-class education in a diverse, friendly and lively environment. We welcome more than 300 new undergraduate students and 140 postgraduate students every year from every possible background - there is no typical St John’s student. With more than 40 student run clubs and societies, there is always something to do at St John’s.
All of our students are guaranteed accommodation and we offer a number of generous studentships and bursaries and childcare grants - have a look at our website for the latest information.
Over the centuries St John’s has taught Nobel prize-winners, Olympians, artists, novelists, actors, entrepreneurs, campaigners and Prime Ministers. Our diverse student body means that no matter where you come from, you will find like-minded people here and together you will develop new ideas and forge lifelong friendships
Looks idyllic - well presented too
What a fantastic tour of the College!
I'm dreaming of it.
I just graduated from my M.A. in Archaeology here in India, and aspiring to get into an M.Phil in Archaeological Science there next Michaelmas, hope I end up there.
Hey did you manage to get in?
@@icemaster523 LOL! Funny thing, however. My application to Cambridge is awaiting University's ratification post department's recommendation. Meanwhile, I got offers from Oxford and UCL too.
@@guganesan.ilavarasan Congrats on Oxford and UCL :O Good luck with Cambridge too, which would you choose between Oxford and Cambridge?
@@icemaster523 Thanks, mate. I wish I could answer that too, but I firmly believe that it's going to be on the basis of the funding opportunities I get alloted.
@@guganesan.ilavarasan That makes sense. If funding weren't an issue, which would you choose? When I applied, I had a really tough time picking between Oxford and Cambridge :O
Admission decisions coming out next week, I really want to get in -- hopefully my dream can come true!!!!
How's your admission did you get in?

Wowie this is like hogwarts
Bidya ka dhan data .hai Cambridge
All this nauseating Oxbridge boasting but these universities combined haven't produced a single good novel or even pop song, d.h.Lawrence went to Nottingham and Jean rhys went nowhere..Oxbridge attracts the utterly conventional and conformist, with their conventional, unimaginative and thoroughly conformist aspiration to go to oxbridge
Haha Oxford reject. You’re not wanted here anyway
what completely unresearched and depressing nonsense. Is, for example, Douglas Adams conventional and conformist?
How about William Golding? Bertrand Russell? VS Naipaul? TS Eliot?
Oxbridge reject
Oxbridge are the best universities in the world taking in the best and the brightest. Not to the mention all the iconic individuals we know today having attended the universities
