Thank you so much for this review. You have taught me much about Dimash and about music in your videos about him. It is delightful to hear someone say the very things I think and feel when listening to him. I know little about music but I laugh at the same moments you do, I am stunned with you at the perfect technical wielding, you describe my exact experience of Dimash so perfectly. I have listened to this version of SOS by DImash at least 100 times. It is my favorite version, and I am still moved and full of joy. This was recorded in 2017 in the Chinese competition "The Singer". Dimash (Di Ma Xi in Mandarin) was only 22 years old, and the first foreigner to be invited to this competition. He was the yougest competitor and opened the show with SOS, and eventually won 2nd place overall. (FYI, Jessie J won 1st place in the 2018 competition, her performances are defintiely worth watching if you like big-sounding pop: please search "The Singer 2018 Jessie J". She sings as well as Whitney Houston whose song "I will always Love You" was her finale).
If you have not seen the version of "Adagio" by DImash from the 2017 competition, I would be happy to know if you enjoyed that song as well. Dimash is the most transcending person I have ever heard. Like you, I realized that watching him is important, because his devotion and stage skills increase the emotional connection. But in the last few weeks, I have also begun listening to him while driving. The experience is pure beauty - because I have learned a little about what he is doing from you. THANK YOU. ❤❤

Also, a great coincidence and pleasant surprise happened to me Dec 9, in New York, day before the concert. When I was about to enter the NY library I saw Dimash's parents who were also entering, Dimash's younger brother was our translator ... that was a nice meeting..I had some photos with them ....❤❤❤❤

Awesome, thoughtful reaction again. A lot of your comments are spot on exactly what I thought while watching this performance, a great testament to Dimash's magnetism and talent transcending language. A Kazakh, singing French, reacted to in Italian, reacted in English. The power of music and song! I've definitely noticed his charismatic "self conducting" with his hands as he sings. It's very apparent in "Love is Like a Dream". A slower, moodier song, but Dimash holds sway throughout the entire song. I think you'd definitely enjoy reacting to "Ogni Pietra [Fancam Version]". His technical expertise is on full display throughout the performance, plus I'd enjoy hearing your analyses/reaction to all of the vocal acrobatics he does throughout.

Another excellent reaction to Dimash performance. It’s very interesting to listen to you and I can see that you are a pleasant, intelligent young guy and rich on the musical knowledge. I will definitely look at your other reactions.
As I know Dimash was offered a position with the Kazakh national opera when he was 20, but this was not the path he wanted. He went on to earn a second degree in Contemporary voice in addition to his degree in Classical voice. He continues to work on a masters degree in Composition despite his busy performance schedule, and he says he will continue through a PhD. He has said that when he retires he wants to teach voice. He is a far and deep thinking young man who constantly strives for improvement😎😎

Yes, he refuses position in Astana Opera, as opera singing has its strict rules, and he wanted to experiment with his voice. THANK him to that decision, bcos now whole World can enjoy his extraordinary singing :))) In contrary we might have never heard of him...

Esta performance fue un 21 de enero de 2017 en un programa llamado The Singer en China, y fue el primer extranjero en ser invitado a ese show, sino me equivoco. Thank you for doing another Dimash video! Yes, we fans are passionate about him, because he is sooo good! If you truly enjoy listening to him, I would hope you would do more of his songs. Ogni Pietra is an Italian song written specifically for him by Igor Krutoy. It is more operatic, and I know your focus is contemporary, but it is amazing. Confessa/Diva Dance from The Singer is also in Italian/Alien! He also has more pop forward songs like Screaming and Give Me Your Love, if you prefer those. However, as good as these are, I prefer his more ballad or neoclassical songs. Really, I don't think any of his music disappoints.

I probably watched all reactions from Vocal Coaches to this song, this is by far the most enjoyable and impressive one. You answered all my questions I've been wondering about Dimash's technique (like his 'cry' and small variations he does), but no one delved into them. Even though I'm not a singer, I learned a lot about the voice by listening to your analysis. I'm looking forward to watch more of your reactions! May I suggest you to react to 'The Show Must Go On' by Dimash Kudaibergen (see below for the link). To be honest, any song of his will do, they are all sooo good. And of course, at your own pace. :)

Thats one of his weakest performance imho. His english was terrible back then and the arrangement didnt match the song. There are many other performances i would rather he react to. For instance Ogni Pietra, since he is italian.

Please keep reacting to his performances with your tremendous insight. I listen to a lot of reaction videos of Dimash. You are one of the best. If not THE BEST. The first 2 songs you listened to, SOS and Sinful Passion, are some of his best. They were both my favorites until I heard him sing Ogni Pietra. I think because it was specifically written for him is the reason his presence during this song is so charismatic and his singing is so dynamic.

I would recommend you watch the fan cam version of Ogni Pietra. Olympic version, you don’t see Dimash much.
Adagio, singing is perfect as usual but stage performance, you should definitely see.
As you mention I also believe that his is much better in Live performances. I was at his NYC concert and hoping he would again come to USA

Ogni Pietra and Passione were written for Dimash’s voice. Composed by Maestro Igor Krutoy. Ogni Pietra just won song of the year in Russia. Also known as Olympico. I would suggest the new wave 2019 since you enjoy seeing him perform. Gives his body language and such. Most like the fan cam version from Arnau but the sound quality is not as good and you simply get his face. Good for teaching students if you want to discuss mouth shape and such. 😊

That was one of the best Dimash reaction videos and there are many good ones. You are a learned man and although I don't sing, I enjoyed hearing your expert understanding of this material. I personally feel a spiritual nature to what Dimash does- like he is trying to wake us up to greater things that we have yet to hear much about, from another source- it is just my notion, nothing I have read or heard from others. Thank you and I hope you place more videos here for us. Also wonderful are Diana Ankudinova and Angelina Jordan, both young talents that also bring much more to music- young artists.
