Thank you so much for continuing your channel, it is a library of answers to all questions concrete. Have you/could you touch on the mixes or admixtures used for winter-exposed concrete. I've done a few projects inspired by you and am excited/scared to find out how they fare the new England winter.
Hi Steve, this was a very timely video; thank you. I made my first piece with PLC last week,as I could not find OPC at my usual retail outlet here in New Zealand. I thought I was going crazy because it does behave very differently; let's hope that after 28 days, the differences are less obvious. Thanks for the great content!
I was actively looking for this information. However, as a beginner/intermediate hobbyist, I am a little confused by the “adding more cement” to compensate for the lime. Are you referring to adding more PLC? Could you clarify please? Also, THANK YOU for your overall AWESOMENESS, your wealth of knowledge, your willingness and ability to share it in an understandable way ! Again, your awesomeness is appreciated.
Great info and well done video explanations. I've watch a lot of your videos just because they are well done and interesting but never really thought I'd try it. Years later, I find I want a large concrete bowl for my garden. I would have wanted terracotta but don't want to get a wheel and a kiln for a one-off project. So I think I'll make a plaster mold, inside and outside, use white cement, white sand, a plasticizer and a terracotta dye. Don't know if it'll work but looks like fun.
Hey man! I just wanted to let you know that I'm really enjoying these tips/videos. The reason that I have been watching a few of your videos is because of a project that I am working on for a club at my High School(and because they are fun to watch ofc). We need to build a 4.0 cm by 1.5 cm puck made of cement, gravel, and sand (nothing else). The goal is to have the puck be dropped from 1 meter high and not break/chip. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
