Woah!! 4:08 he says “Satan tells a lot of truth”. Goodness he needs to read John 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
Yep, when he said that, I cringed. Satan is the father of lies and only seeks to kill and destroy us all. Sound like any "truth" would come out of a guy like that? We need to be discerning Christians. The Bible says that we should not be fooled by Satan's devices. Statements like the one he made are horribly dangerous.
Ryan, Go ahead write a book based on what this young man said. But just be a mature man in faith, the young man may be said some thing he didn't mean to. For anti Mormon and ex Mormons, Let's read what Paul have suggested about reading the bible like a child; Read 1 Cor 14 20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men. Read Eph 4 KJV 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
When he said "but Satan tells a lot of truth..." And started defending what the serpent said to Eve, I was shocked! These poor men being led astray by false doctrine! May God Bless them and show them the truth! Thank you guys and bless you for reaching out to these young men.
Trevyn Campbell The important thing is they heard the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ so at the Great White Throne Judgment won’t be pointing their fingers and an excuse born again Christians didn’t tell them the TRUTH.
You guys do realize that God Himself validates that what Satan told Adam and Eve was in fact truth right? It's all spelled out right there in Genesis. Do you not read and understand the Bible you claim to believe in?! In first Satan tells Eve that only through eating of the forbidden fruit can they gain the knowledge and understand that they seek, and in verse 22 God Himself says that man had indeed become more like on of the Gods in knowing good and evil by partaking of the forbidden fruit. So to sit here and say how pathetic and misinformed these young men are to think that Satan could tell the truth, would be to show your own extreme ignorance of truth. Satan uses half truths and manipulated truths to get us to stable and faulted all the time. Do t be so prideful as to think you are above Satan's tactics and abilities to deceive you by purposely presenting you with truths you either aren't ready to receive or aren't willing to accept, all in an attempt to get you to disavow those truths early on before you ever even try to study them out for their doctrinal accuracy.
@@scottb4509 I think you might be answering or reaffirming what Trevyn is saying. "Satan uses half truths and manipulated truths" and that's the point. Satan doesn't tell you the entire truth and you shouldn't listen to someone or something that doesn't live, speak, or breathe truth as exemplified in God and His Word.
I like what my brother said to the mormon " My best is not good enough I need Christ" I like that, if I remember I will use that one! God bless you brothers!!
Isaiah 64:6 KJV But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
As an ex mormon I am sooooo glad God has revealed his truth to me. I am Christian now and so disgusted that all those years I was a mormon I was believing in something so wrong.
getting into heaven is almost assured to us. it is being exalted that one has to work towards. so yes, as a Mormon we are doing everything right while the world is only going after half the battle. fulfilling the commandments is easy but becoming a full believer starts with trying to be like him from the start. the restored gospel is a gift but like with most gifts, there are always strings attached. the most important of which is what we do in the temple.
@@harshitgarg419 getting into is “almost assured” whaaat!? It is a gift from God. You don’t go to heaven through works that’s where your wrong. I don’t have to worry that my salvation can be taken away. Although I don’t consider myself christian anymore I just maintain a relationship with God and spend time with him. Romans 10:9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ” Do you see anywhere in there that says be a good person or do good works and you go to heaven. You don’t have to work for it just believe. Mormons push the Book of Mormon more than the Bible which is wrong. I was assigned to read the whole Book of Mormon when I was in highschool but not once did they tell me to read the whole Bible. Goes to show what’s really important to you guys.
@@harshitgarg419 you guys pick and choose what to believe in the Bible. That’s crazy. Start questioning everything and don’t believe me ask God himself and pray to him to reveal the truth and stay persistent. He will reveal the truth. God revealed the truth to me and told me it wasn’t right to adopt Mormon beliefs. Why we gotta wear a suit and tie to talk to Jesus? He don’t care bout that. Also wearing those stupid religious undergarments is a joke. God bless you!
To Apologia missionaries: I pray & thank you for your evangelistic efforts. A part of me wonders “What IF you had gone in and listened to this young Mormon give his study. Don’t you think he would have felt obligated to perhaps reciprocate & then give an hour of his time returning the favor? While Street witnessing works, I would argue that there is a greater return by establishing friendships, & then in multiple conversations, compare scriptures. Pick one theme at a time. I felt as if this was too brief, a shotgun array of topics, & no solid establishment to follow through. Just offering this advice, counsel, & observations in love and respect. Again thank you. Blessed are the feet.
Baby Albatross Music , the bible says that those that do not accept the true Gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth that you are not to bid them Godspeed ........... We are not to invite them in our homes and we are not to enter their buildings except as a warrior of Jesus Christ clothed in the battle gear of Eph 6 . We are not to play sweet games here , this is war , white shirts dont mean surrender ...... they operate under witchcraft .
241Tsunami - with all of the love of Christ that is within me, I must disagree with your paradigm with (what I believe) to be your misapplication of scriptures. To not enter an unbelievers house or fellowship with them: Paul is speaking to how we are to live our lives in a ( hagiazo ) holy manner. When it comes to witnessing & evangelism you cannot apply that presupposition. Your argument reminds me of the criticism that the Pharisees gave Jesus: “Look, he eats with the sinners and tax collectors.”. If you stay behind stain glass windows looking out, they’ll never come in & find Jesus. Go into the highways & byways and invite them to come in. Establish a bridge of friendship, then stand back and allow the Holy Spirit to do his job. Salvation is all of God’s work. If we try to claim any part in it, then we deceive ourselves.
Baby Albatross Music , it’s about your literal house . It’s not about avoiding them and stopping communication . I’ve experienced this with JW’s who attacked me years ago in my parents home when I was young . Demons spoke out of the older woman and she was foaming at the mouth and said “ YOU WILL NOT TEACH US WE WILL TEACH YOU “ . I asked them to leave and they sat in stunned silence at what had transpired . I deal with the demonic frequently and cast out devils as required by Christ . I come at this with experience . I am not a Pharisee of the law dictating each verse and applying it like some academic who sits in a spectator arena. . Sorry , don’t let them in your house , you don’t know what demons are attached to them and unless your ministering specifically on that matter I would still hesitate . Now yes I’ve broken the law and done deliverance over face time for a person 3000 miles away , I hope there are laws that forgive me for that , perhaps a verse or two in scripture will suffice . I’m not being fecitious but was challenged at the Pharisee comment .
241Tsunami Then read my original post. It is possible that had those 2 Christians had invested an hour listening to that Mormon teach his study, that they then could have invited him to come and listen to (a study that they could do), a service.. or spend an hour with them at a coffee shop conversing. As Christians you cannot show me scripturally that any demon can inhabit or take control of any Christian because he or she has GOD dwelling literally within them, in the person of the Holy Spirit. I can point to verses that state this postulate explicitly! If you believe that as a follower of Jesus, God in the second person, that a fallen angel can get inside you, you need to stop, fix your doctrine and be teachable ( as Apollos - a 17 year evangelist allowed 2 displaced Jews teach him his error Acts 18:24-28). You’re on a Reformed Theology Channel. Don’t bring your Apostolic Pentecostal Charismatic Holiness Theology at me. If you belong to Jesus I implore you to correct your doctrine. I also implore you to stop, and in prayer examine your heart. Ask the Holy Spirit why you became so disturbed at the Pharisee comment. I stand by all of my statements with the Lord as my witness. In Christ I love you, but regarding this dialogue on this thread: All that needs to have been said has been said. Please don’t let ego cause you to reply, because I won’t respond. I have 8 years of Prison Ministry & many more in other ministerial areas. Let us remember that this is Apologias channel.
Baby Albatross Music , a good question to ask is why do you think I belong to some new apostolic thing . I don’t . I find everyone likes to label people that they don’t understand as if they assume you belong because you mentioned some words their not used to . It’s your choice to believe whatever you would like and my ego is not part of the matter . Your the one that brought up Pharisees earlier and NAR and ego . It’s also find your in prison ministry but you were dealing with many demonized People . The apostle Paul said to NOT put any confidence in the flesh and to crucify the flesh . Serious question , was paul wrong in stating that the born again believer should Put no confidence in the flesh ? Would that mean put no confidence in the flesh that Christ dwells in ? What about paul stating he could not do what he wanted and he did what he hated and it was sin dwelling in him . Does Christ dwell in your sin or is Christ in your spirit and your in Christ . The Bible said we are Hid with Christ so how do you reconcile the Christ in our flesh . Our spirit is where Christ dwells , we are to make our fleshly bodies to conform but they have nothing good dwelling in them . The Bible says so and I would rather trust the Lord Jesus of Nazareth and His word than a misunderstanding . Yes it is a mystery how this all works just like many mysteries such as the mystery of the Jews and the ability for a gentile to receive salvation . Our sin is to be controlled and bound up but notice the sin we do opens the door to Satan so that he gets a foothold . Many Christians suffer in their mind and bear in their Bodies the afflictions of the enemy . Through Christ we have a hope and a redemption to look Forward to . We must however not place any confidence in the flesh . We through the Holy Spirit Can through the gifts of the Lord operate in a Godly manner . This does not redeem the Body . You can place any text you want ahead of me and I know how to apply it . Many think that they are something by virtue of their good works apart from Christ . This is an error and it’s what propels Mormons as their Jesus is Lucifer . He operates to manipulate mankind to live by unholy practices and lies and deceptions that are seemingly correct but they are twisted . I’m Sure you know this and perhaps you can consider that most Christians that seek deliverance are indeed Christians . I’ve heard demons complain out of them prior to them being cast out how the persons righteous Living is torture to them and so much work . This clearly is backed up with the word of God that as we resist he will flee . I don’t know what deliverance you are thinking of but real deliverance is beautiful and completely demonstrates the power of God . Paul also asks the Lord to remove the affect of Satan on his life , the thorn IN his side. The Lord said , my grace is sufficient . Why is grace required if there is no enemy in the body ? Would that make sense ? Grace for what ? You see it’s very easy to agree with paul and place no confidence in the flesh . Does God who is Holy dwell in a house made with hands or does he abide in the ungodly ? Only because of the application of Jesus Christ’s Blood do we truly have life in us . Read John 6 in its entirety and tell me what it says about the communion of Christ’s Body and Blood . When one reconciles the Blood of Christ and the Grace of God Vs sin and the redemption of mankind you will see that it’s not about man and man’s body except it live Holy and even at that our holiness is an imputed righteousness . We serve an awesome God and He has elected whom he wills . Not everything makes sense to us based on our Logic . We can prove things by two or more witnesses , that includes the word also .
Mormons usually are kind and friendly...ive counted many among my friends...but unfortunately thier idea of Scripture is a false one. The youngest in the LDS church are not even aware of the extra doctrine.
GOOD kids... But BAD doctrine... Eg. Mormons teach that God was once a man like you & I, and WORKED his way up to Godhood. Furthermore, they do not believe Jesus is the self existent, eternal Creator of all things. Hopefully these 2 youngsters will truly & thoroughly research the doctrines of Mormonism & see that they don't harmonize with sound Biblical doctrine.
@@joelgaastra2664 You MISUNDERSTOOD what I wrote, and LEFT OUT an important part. I'll be kind and assume you did not intentionally do that. I wrote that Mormons do not believe Jesus is the self existent, eternal Creator of all things. Mormons teach that Jesus was CREATED. They do NOT teach that Jesus is the self existent creator of ALL THINGS. This conflicts with the Bible's teaching. Eg. John 1:2 "Through him all things were made - without him nothing was made that has been made." Take care Joel.
@@joelgaastra2664 Obviously I'll need to make this REALLY, REALLY simple. (a) Mormonism teaches Jesus is A CREATED BEING, and that he did not ETERNALLY EXIST, before he came to earth. (b) The Bible, on the other hand, teaches that he DID eternally exist, and was not created. Eg. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made - without him nothing was made that has been made" (John 1:1-3). Thanks for the link Joel, but I AM knowledgeable in LDS doctrine, and have discussed these unbiblical teachings face to face with Mormons before... I spent quite some time on this, in the Nineties. The man made LDS doctrines I mentioned above (eg. God was once a man like us) CONFLICT with the Bible. Period. That's why I could not, in good conscience, adhere to Mormon doctrine.
I know God is our heavenly father, and nobody knows how he became or is. Just as the bible says this is my son hear him, gave up his only begotten son. It's not much of a sacrifice to give up yourself, but it's everything, no greater sacrifice than to give up your only son. They are 2 different, part of the God head. Jesus was not God the father in the flesh. He was the only begotten, our brother, our savior heavenly fathers son.
My pastor back in Arkansas once said that the Mormon church raised very good, moral young men; but if they die without trusting in Jesus as their Lord and Savior they’re going to hell. I pray that they learn who Jesus is and put their trust in him.
Joel Gaastra I imagine it more as a disease to which there’s a cure, but it’s up to you to take the medicine that can save you and once you do you are cured. Keeping God’s commandments and growing in your relationship with God is not what saves, it’s what comes from a true believer after salvation. This is a very important distinction, I can do good works to the ends of my days but if I for a second thing that I’m going to heaven based on my good works or that I need those good works to go to heaven then I’m clearly going to hell for I trusted in my righteousness, not Gods; no one can earn their way into heaven.
@@joelgaastra2664 That's definitely not what the bible says... "And you were dead in the trespasses and sins" (Eph. 2:1)" The picture the bible gives of humanity is that we are dead in our trespasses and sins, therefore, before we believe and are justified, we are alienated from him (see Col. 1:21-23). We can not "walk" towards him because we are without him.
They seem good and moral in public, but when they think no one is watching.....Let's just say it isn't good or moral. That is why they desperately need Jesus Christ. It is a inward spiritual experience that keeps your heart from lying to you. Even then, we can try to ignore what the Spirit is saying. I have tried that, btw. If you truly belong to Christ, the Holy Spirit will convict you to do the right thing. Jesus will never give up on you. No matter what.
The mormons don't tend to tell all of their beliefs to a person inquiring. They typically wait until you are too committed to leave before telling you all of thier beliefs. Did you need to see apologetics regarding Mormons? This Christian organization has alot on thier website: carm.org/mormonism Regards...
@@michaelswain6125 You are welcome! I understand what you are saying. Sometimes when one is out on the streets witnessing it ends up sounding a bit different then one intended.
@@1TalldrinkH2O VERY INSIGHTFUL comment! I've definitely noticed this method with organizations such as Jehovah's Witnesses, and Mormons. Why not let people know, RIGHT AWAY, what they are getting into? Because many people would immediately see the CONFLICT between their man made doctrines vs the Bible. Eg. God was once a man like you & I, and WORKED his way up to godhood.
"Satan tells a lot of truth"???? Poor kid. John 8:44 "You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, *because there is no truth in him.* When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies."
Literally same response my friend used “trying my best, God knows my heart”. Trying is the key word, not trusting. When you read God’s word you are slow to listen and act, but reading God’s word and simply say you’re trying with no action, essentially hesitation will lead to someone’s downfall because they will always be in a state of complacency in their life saying, “God knows my heart and how hard I’ve tried” it was never anything you could ever done anyway
What you say to someone like that is show them where it says our heart is deceitful above all things, that no one is good, no not one, that all have fallen short of the glory of God. Trying isn't going to get us anywhere when we have already failed. We can't undo what we have done.
Also remember that when ever some one uses the word "try," it's always in the context of failure. So that's why those within Mormonism can never ever know if they truly have peace with God.
It’s so funny that there’s so many “Christians” here in the comments taking what the kid said out of context. At 4:08 he says “Satan says a lot of truth.” And everyone is quoting that one line like it’s the determining factor. Yes, if you take that one line by itself it seems wrong. However, in context the boy is saying that the ideas Satan say are technically right (however they are wrong in the holiness of God). While they didn’t physically die right away- they died spiritually right away. Satan DOES speak truth in the Bible you see him do it in the New Testimate in the wilderness. However, it’s taking truth and twisting it against God himself. Sadly these boys seem well versed in what they believe and I can see why they believe what they do. However, the misguidance that Mormonism teaches ultimately takes them away from ULTIMATE truth. But please y’all use context. Even in the Bible so many people will quote one line of scripture and take it out of context- Satan does it and so will people too!!
@@joelgaastra2664 If the Lord Jesus Christ's atonement and saving grace is sure, done, complete, and infinite, why does the Book of Mormon say, "we are saved by grace after all that we can do?" Was this passage a mistake? To answer that, how would you define "grace" here? What is the standard of "after all we can do?" At the end of his life, Spencer W Kimball expressed his deep regrets that he had not done enough. Saying they believe in the atonement but in reality, being dependent on their own righteousness, I suspect most latter-day saints will never have true peace with God. - A former Mormon
@@joelgaastra2664 and our righteousness is as filthy rags, like Isaiah said, "good works" won't help in the least, because we don't have any, because they come from a self righteous attitude and believe that we are not as bad as we are... dead in sins and trespasses, not sick, so those in the flesh are not able to please God, only Jesus finished work on the cross, and none of ours. One God, not many, the true and Living Triune God of the Bible. None before, none after
Breflections convicts them of what exactly? I don't agree with much Mormon Doctrine, but I don't see any other large Church who isn't preaching false doctrines, so I am having a hard time with why the attacks on Mormons, when all other Churches are not preaching the whole Truth and how we're not to be part of this Beast System that we've been born into. I would say making Jesus Christ the man of Lawlessness is about as devilish than any other doctrine that Mormons believe, barring perhaps the man God thing, which if you really think about it, if we're God's Children, what would we be when we're all grow up? Mormons don't believe that they will become gods after dying, but they do believe in the Law of Eternal Progression, no modern Mormon believes that they can get anywhere with out Christ as your center. No Mormon today believes that their"works" are going to make them gods, they don't know how long it takes to grow up to be like our Father in Heaven. If there's no more progression of the spirit and mind, then things start to not make sense. To me not being able to grow or improve would be Hell. I do see many problems with the Mormon Church, but they are quite different than the usual once saved always saved mindset, which thing is a doctrine of demons.
@@Mr.Truxton Mormonism defies all logic. Mormonism teaches that God used to be a man on another world, (Mormon Doctrine by Bruce McConkie, p. 321) and that he became a god (this is called exaltation, Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pages 345-347, 354) and came to this world with his goddess wife. He was able to become a god because he followed the laws and ordinances of the god he served on another world. That god, in turn, was exalted by his god, who was exalted by his god, ad infinitum. In other words, there is a progression of gods being formed as far back as you look in time. Truth does not contradict itself. If I gave two statements about a subject and the two statements contradicted each other, then you would know something was wrong. The law of non-contradiction states that something cannot be both true and false in the same sense at the same time. In other words, truth does not contradict itself. This is basic logic. That which is true is internally consistent and contains no logical impossibilities. If something does contain a logical impossibility, then it cannot be true. Mormonism teaches an infinite regression of causes. This means it teaches that each god was made a god by a previous god. This further means that as far back as you look in time, this process has always been occurring. In other words, from an infinity of time in the past, the Mormon plan of exaltation (becoming gods) has been in effect. The only problem is that this is logically impossible. Since it is logically impossible, this means that Mormonism is false. Let's look closer. There cannot be an infinite regression of causes, i.e., a god that exalted someone to godhood, who exalted someone to godhood, ad infinitum. This is logically impossible. Why? Because you cannot cross an infinity. In other words, in order for us to get to the present state of this god on this planet, there would have had to be an infinite number of exaltations in the past. But, this cannot be because, in order to get to the present, you would have to transverse an infinite number of exaltations. But that is impossible since you cannot transverse an infinity--if you could cross (transverse) an infinity of time, then it isn't infinite. Therefore, the Mormon system of infinite regressions of exaltations to godhood is impossible, and Mormonism is proven false. Simple. Another way of looking at this is to ask what is the first cause of exaltation to godhood? To be exalted means someone (a god) would have to perform the action of exaltation (as Mormonism teaches). But, if there is an infinite number of exaltations (an infinite number of causes of exaltation), then we could never find the first cause because there wouldn't be one. If there is no first cause, then there can be no second, no third, etc., and there could never be a sequence of these events to occur. However, Mormons will not give in to a logical proof since their testimonies are not based on facts but on what they claim is a testimony of the Holy Spirit. Of course, all cult groups have testimonies that their church is true (proving that testimonies are contradictory and untrustworthy as a means to determining truth). Nevertheless, they are taught to "feel" theological truth--not think it through. How then do they respond to this logical proof that Mormonism is false? Normally they say that it is a mystery. Mysteries are fine, but they cannot suffice as an explanation if they contradict logic. In other words, if a principle is blatantly illogically, it cannot be true. Did you get that? It cannot be true. Saying it is a mystery means nothing if the proclamation of that mystery violates the laws of logic. Mormonism is proven false. What is the truth? Okay, so if the Mormon principle of eternal regression of exaltations is logically impossible, then what is the truth? The truth is that there is a single uncaused cause. Logic necessitates that there must be a single being who is without beginning and upon which time has no meaning or affect who is the single uncaused cause. The Bible says that God is unchanging (unlike the Mormon god) and that he has been God from eternity. This is exactly what logic necessitates as being true. The God of Christianity is not an exalted man from another planet with a goddess wife. The God of Christianity has always been God and has never been anything else. Check out the following verses. "For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed." (Mal. 3:6). "Before the mountains were born or You gave birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God." (Psalm 90:2). What is sad is that this simple logical proof, and it is a proof that Mormonism is false, will mean basically nothing to those whose spiritual eyes have been blinded by the god of this world. "And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God . . . " (2 Cor. 4:3-4). carm.org/mormonism/logical-proof-that-mormonism-is-false
@@joelgaastra2664 God is the first, uncaused cause of everything you see. You are exactly right. There is no way for our logic, our finite minds, to understand infinity. No one will ever come to the end of knowing God. A common argument from atheists and skeptics is that if all things need a cause, then God must also need a cause. The conclusion is that if God needed a cause, then God is not God (and if God is not God, then of course there is no God). This is a slightly more sophisticated form of the basic question “Who made God?” Everyone knows that something does not come from nothing. So, if God is a “something,” then He must have a cause, right? The question is tricky because it sneaks in the false assumption that God came from somewhere and then asks where that might be. The answer is that the question does not even make sense. It is like asking, “What does blue smell like?” Blue is not in the category of things that have a smell, so the question itself is flawed. In the same way, God is not in the category of things that are created or caused. God is uncaused and uncreated-He simply exists. How do we know this? We know that from nothing, nothing comes. So, if there were ever a time when there was absolutely nothing in existence, then nothing would have ever come into existence. But things do exist. Therefore, since there could never have been absolutely nothing, something had to have always been in existence. That ever-existing thing is what we call God. God is the uncaused Being that caused everything else to come into existence. God is the uncreated Creator who created the universe and everything in it. www.gotquestions.org/who-created-God.html The true and living God was never once a man. He is an uncreated being. The true and living God has always existed. He is the first, uncaused cause of everything you see. He lives outside of time, space and matter because He created time, space and matter. He is self-existent. He has no mother or father, does not need air, food, water, sex, sleep, shelter, clothing, etc.. He is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, immutable, transcendent, infinitely holy, eternal and so much more. The highest heavens cannot contain Him. The true and living God created Adam out of the dust of the ground. No wife needed. No pre existence.
@@joelgaastra2664 Your parents had you and your grandparents had your parents and so on. However, this cannot go on forever because you cannot cross an infinity. In order for you to exist, there must have been a starting point. There must be a father and a mother who had no parents. That is exactly what the Bible teaches. Adam and Eve were created by God. They had no parents. (God doesn't need a wife of course. God can make another human being out of the dust of the ground.)
@everyday tenor I have read the Book of Mormon and often go to the LDS website. Naturally many things that LDS prophets and apostles have said are shockingly offensive to even Mormons. They changed the Endowment Ceremony back in the 1990's because it was so offensive, if you remember.
I think the reason the mormon church encourages family, getting married and having lots of kids is mainly b/c the heavy focus on family keeps the mormon theology very insulated from outside interference. It is an absolutely a miracle of God if anyone is escapes from the clutches of this cult.
For those who are desiring to witness to Mormons at their place of worship or elsewhere: Don’t be discouraged when you meet resistance like this. God is honored and glorified no matter what happens. Next, be constantly praying for those in these places. One’s wit will not be the basis for a Mormon coming to saving faith but the the Holy Spirit transforming their hearts by the spoken Word. I encourage others to be faithful in doing this because in Acts we see instances of the Jews being met at their place of worship by Paul and Apollos. If they can do it and honor God, so can we, beloved.

I've got to hand it to the mormon kid in his rebuttal of genesis 3 when they said that the serpent also said they wouldn't die, and they didn't die instantly. So in other words, the serpent spoke some truth. Unfortunately, tho, that is faulty reasoning, because Adam and Eve did die instantly, spiritually.
Satan is very good at taking truths and manipulating it for his purpose. It was the same with Jesus in the desert. Truth spoken, but in a manipulative, destructive manner.
They did die. They died spiritually. And "you won't die" is still a lie if you don't die immediately. If I say I won't steal from you... then in 3 years I steal from you, I lied. It doesn't mean I told the truth because I didn't steal instantly.
I love these videos I was a Mormon once a pon of time, untill I realized things that didn't add up in my family. I prayed to God asked him for truth about JS. God answered my prayer that night and I found Jeff Durbin schooling Mormons on their believes. Now I learn from Apoloia studios and have conversations with my Mormon family members trying to help them find the truth. God bless us all..
This encounter was an example of what not to do. Don't let the person you are debating jump all over the place. The kitchen got hot when he quoted Isa 43:10 and then he let the Mormon get out of the kitchen. God bless you guys and thanks for preaching the Gospel!
Everybody talking past one another. Talking points memorized and shooting them out as fast as possible. And yes, Satan does say true things. He says them in order to make his lies seem more reasonable.
A gift is free. It doesn't require that you work for it. When we are in relationship with The Holy Spirit we have Jesus with us, within us. So good works just come naturally. Sometimes we ignore the Spirit but God’s grace allows us to correct our wandering. To pray and be forgiven for sin and to stay on God's path. It is very personal. You don't even have to go to church if you choose. But reading God's word and talking with Jesus is a necessity.❤
I think this is beautiful to see you guys peacefully arguing your different points. But at the same time all I heard is “ my book is right!” “No, my book is right!” I just don’t get it
The question we need to ask ourselves is which book came out first? The Bible or the Book of Mormon and the answer to that is obviously the Bible as the Book of Mormon is only a couple of hundred years old. So if God had said one thing in the bible but the Book of Mormon says something else than the Bible must logically be given first place as the older authority because God had already established his truth in his Word long before the Book of Mormon ever came into existence.
aolish no the question we need to ask our selves is when are we gonna shut the fuck up about religion put down the Bible and pick up a god damn science book and do something for society
then what do we need to do? because this channel preaches that nothing we do will affect anything, it's all predetermined. so might as well do what we want, we are just the puppets on strings. even If we wanted to do differently, according to this channel, we couldn't.
@@4309chris 1st "what do we need to do?" Jesus says in John 6 28 Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
@@4309chris 2nd part of your question my friend in regards to "do what ever we want then" is answered by Paul in Romans about salvation by grace through faith in Christ. Romans 6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 3rd part if it's all predetermined. It certainly is. Romans 9 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? Certainly not! 15 For He says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.” 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. 17 For the Scripture says to the Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” 18 Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens.
*Jason* "For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God" *I Cor **1:18* Actually, to the Mormons, the cross was an "after the fact" moment in time, for they believe the *ATONEMENT* was satisfied in the Garden of Gethsemene.
@everyday tenor I don't mean to come off as so brash, & I am CERTAINLY not unloving when I say this, but the LDS is a cult. "If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation outside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" Bruce McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, P 670, John Taylor Journal of Discourses Mormons preach a "restored" church. The very premise is false, therefore, e/thing to follow is skewed. • *MATTHEW 16:18* "...I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." • *JUDE 3* "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." GREEK word...HAPAX. This is not "ONCE" in the sense of one among many, but "ONCE" as in one time numerically & ONCE for all conclusively. The Latin (semel)...it has perpetual validity that never requires repetition. We (Christians) pray for you.
"I was raised Catholic, and then I studied the Bible", 6:50 - says the guy on the left, who then proceeded to accept Calvinism in its place. Oh, brother.
@@jeremynethercutt206 They believe God foreordains every person's fate instead of humans having the free will to choose to serve God. That free will is what gives evidence that we truly love God from the heart when we do it because we WANT to. Calvinist hold to the notion that God arbitrarily preselects who he wants, which is unscriptural and wrong. It indirectly blames God for the suffering of those he doesn't preselect.
I had four LDS missionaries in my home. Not one of them could explain who created their heavenly father who was once a man. Such a sad story. I worship the Creator. When you deny Jesus Christ and say he is the brother of Lucifer you have no chance of ever getting into heaven. Doing your best will never get you into heaven. You need to be perfect. You need the righteousness of God.

@@jonahlarsen9664 Calvinism is like a tertiary issue. The most important thing is the gospel, and Jesus said to preach it. Christians can agree on that regardless of their secondary and tertiary theological stances.
The Mormon is right about works. James 2:18-26 shows that faith and righteous works go hand and hand. In fact the concluding verse 26 of that 2nd chapter says: "Indeed, just as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead."
Romans 4 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, Romans 3:28 For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law. Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Eph. 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and [h]that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
The devil is perfectly content to place 10% deception with 90% truth. If salvation isn't by faith alone through grace alone in Christ alone it is false doctrine. Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnesses, Christian Scientists etc. all believe in works based salvation from a different Christ than the Savior of the Bible.
Jesus will judge the works of all the people who have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus, in order to determine what rewards they will receive in heaven. The oil in our lamps is the Holy Spirit by whom we are saved and sealed until the day of redemption.
Rebekah Smith the lamp is faith, the oil is works, the fruit of grace and the Holy Spirit is FIRE in the lamp. I suggest you try to not tell Jesus what what His business is. Matthew 25:19-46 19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them. 20 And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.' 21 His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.' 22 And he also who had the two talents came forward, saying, 'Master, you delivered to me two talents; here I have made two talents more.' 23 His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you over much; enter into the joy of your master.' 24 He also who had received the one talent came forward, saying, 'Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not winnow; 25 so I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent in the ground. Here you have what is yours.' 26 But his master answered him, 'You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sowed, and gather where I have not winnowed? 27 Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has the ten talents. 29 For to every one who has will more be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.' 31 "When the Son of man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, 33 and he will place the sheep at his right hand, but the goats at the left. 34 Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; 35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' 37 Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? 38 And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? 39 And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?' 40 And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me.' 41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels; 42 for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.' 44 Then they also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to thee?' 45 Then he will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.' 46 And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
Pastor Jeff. The Mormans belief in works to gain salvation is based on one thing. If I get you to believe that salvation is gained by good/certain works then I can control you.
Great !! Currently reading the book of mormon and it's so mental the things I've discovered the contradictions, thank you Jeff Durbin for you having this heart, the Lord has taught me so much about mormons, and prayers are appreciated,
The fact that in the very begining joseph smith writes there are mistakes in the book of mormon and they are of men. You cannot really support it. It sets itself up for failure
Awesome vid! I'm atheist and always pretend to be Christians when I'm approached by Mormons and Jehovah's witnesses. Your videos have really helped me have a lot of fun with them!
How do we respond to questioning Jesus’ prophecy about the temple’s stones not being left upon another without being thrown down?” The Wailing Wall is supposed to be from the Temple.
1. Jesus taught rewards in heaven. Does that mean Jesus taught salvation by works? 2. James says Faith without works is dead, 2 Nephi says you're saved by grace (even) after all you do. You still DO but its by grace you're ultimately saved. Phrased another way "Do all you can, it's still by grace we're saved." Do these preachers reject (as Martin Luther did) the book of James the same way they reject the identical idea found in 2 Nephi?
1. Rewards are not salvation. 2. Faith without works is dead. So those who don't have true, saving faith will not have works. Those who have true, saving faith will have works as the evidence. Works is the fruit of salvation, not the root. Both of those have been explained long before either of us were alive, so your prooftexting won't work here. 2 Nephi directly contradicts the teachings of Galatians. You can take a 19th century false prophets words over Paul if you wish, but it won't be good for your eternity.
@@MansterBear 2Nephi is OT period 545 BC long before 19 century almost 2560 years ago. Even though faith+works is an important message some Protestant sects have extolled the pricipal faith only to the exclusion of works. The 2 evangelicals are pushing their faith only line. I know you believe Mormonism to be false but ya gotta admit that young bloke had the teaching correct. I guess by their fruits we will know.
Apbt 2010 no it wasn't. You really think a book from 2500 years ago mentioned the false prophet Joseph Smith by name? If it did, that would just prove its false bc it treats a false prophet as true. Works are not part of your salvation. They come after as a result of it. Your works contribute nothing to your salvation. If you think your works will save you, you're in the same position that the church in Galatia was in. If you seek to be justified by the law in anyway, you're bound to hold the entire law perfectly. Which you've already failed to do. Please turn from your man centered teachings to the true Gospel of Jesus.
I wonder what was the purpose of your confrontation with these two young men. Was it convert them and their thought process? Or was it just to create a confrontation so that you can put it on UA-cam. I'm having trouble understanding how Christ is glorified by this video
Charles Krause how is Christ not glorified by these men sharing the truth of the Gospel? That crap about UA-cam came from your mouth, not theirs! And it hardly glorifies Christ
We speak with man about the gospel in the hopes that some might be converted. It appears to me from this video that it was more about confronting them about their religion rather than trying to convert them
This Latter-day Saint did a great job of defending his faith in spite of the volley off attacks. Apologia representatives misrepresent and misunderstand the core of the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I was thinking what difference does it make how we celebrate God as long as we do. Another way to praise and glorify God would be to save others, Mormons have been doing that and if you save a lot of souls than God will seat you higher. A thought.
It was at that point I got a shiver ! Out if everything was said THIS was THE moment where it revealed that Satan has infiltrated the church and it’s not just Mormons it’s a lot of denominations
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44 ESV He is the Father of lies, it is sad I agree.
Genesis 3:22 22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever (KJV). Satan lied about not dying, but didn't lie saying that we can become like God.

I appreciate what you guys are doing. Definitely got to get people to see the truth about the Gospels, and Jesus. But, I don't think you are reading Romans 3:28 in context. 1) "works of the law" is NOT referring to acts of faith, or christian works. But, to the works of the mosaic law, specifically circumcision. Context! Pauls point is that we are saved by faith in Christ, and not circumcision, and the 613 laws of moses. Abraham existed before all of that so he is our father in faith. Compare Romans 3, 4, 5, Gal 2, 3, with, Acts 15. Further, we know that Paul isn't referring to christian acts of faith, or works of faith because if he was, he would be contradicting himself in James 2. You are arguing for faith alone salvation, but faith is never alone. See James 2:24 "You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." The works Paul is referring to here is NOT the same as he is referring to in Romans, Galatians, namely circumcision, which does not save. Paul in James is also not saying that works save us apart from Christ. Think of works here as symptoms of faith. I know y'all agree. Like Paul says in James, "faith without works is dead" The Mormon guy didn't discount saved by faith, through Grace in Christ. He is just not counting good works/actions of christian faith as "the works of the law" Paul is talking about. Mormons don't believe in faith alone, and neither should you. I'm only speaking to what the Mormon said and not what Smith actually taught. It is good to point out the flaws in what Smith taught compared to scripture. Paul is also not including the Sacraments, such as baptism, when he says, "Works of the law." We know from scripture that baptism saves us (1 Pet 3:21) and forgives our sins, imparts on us the Holy Spirit, (Acts 2:38) and "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned." (Mark 16:16) Baptism is also how one becomes a disciple of Christ! "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,..." (Matthew 28:19) Therefore generally speaking we are saved by grace, through faith in christ, and baptism seals the deal. Belief is closely tied to baptism! Can a person be saved without doing anything? Yes of course, but not most people. Faith alone salvation is the exception, not the rule. We look to the good thief on the cross for an example of this exception. Even then faith isn't alone because it is by grace. You teach it like it's the rule! The general way to salvation is grace, faith, repentance, baptism and keeping ones self unstained from the world, and staying the course of salvation. But, if you teach faith alone, you have to ignore all of that! Sorry this is long but got to correct you guys. Context is key!
So were saved by works + faith? Have you loved the Lord your God with all your heart, mind soul and strength? James 2:24 uses justified to refer to a person who is shown to be righteous, not one who is made righteous. There is a big difference. "For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become guilty of all of it" (James 2:10). I can not be both entirely guilty before God and also be shown to be not guilty (righteous) by my good works. I must first be made righteous through faith that his blood will and has covered all my sins, then I will be shown as righteous and demonstrate good works which are the fruit of my faith. Being justified declared righteous before God comes through faith alone. Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.
So our faith in Christ saves us but this faith leads us to repentance and baptism and continuing on the path. So faith + works qualifies us as disciples and by His grace we are redeemed. I agree these 2 evangelists make it to be that only faith is needed without a desire to repent be baptized etc.
Genesis 1:29 Jesus Freak - this is so easy, but people make it hard by bringing in their own self effort ...which will always be filthy rags Titus 3:5 - “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:7) “… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus …” (Romans 3:23-24) Romans 4:7 - 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; 8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.” Gal 3 - Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “ The righteous man shall live by faith.” 12 However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “He who practices them shall live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on A tree”- 14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
@UCACAeZ267Fsj27SZaTly13A I agree repentance and baptism are neccessary ordinances because they bring the Holy Spirit which is part of salvation. Faith with works is required.
Well, hopefully it won't be on the day of judgement, as a person standing before God on his OWN merits - "judged according to what he has done" (Revelation 20:12).
AJ Steele I agree. However, it is not REQUIRED for salvation. After you give your life to Christ, you should want to do things for Him. When we do works for God, they are not for our own salvation. We don’t do works to gain salvation. The Bible says that our righteousness is of filthy rags to the lord (Isaiah 64:6). You probably get it, but that’s where Mormons get it wrong. Salvation is a free gift given to us through our faith in God, not through our works. Are they important? Absolutely. Required? No.
AJ Steele Ephesians 2:8 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (NIV) That’s Paul speaking.
poprock47 I have no dispute with that verse. Scripture however interprets scripture. “James 2:14-26 New King James Version (NKJV) Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” Its shocking that you would say works are "not required." Then again, many Protestants hold to this.
AJ Steele simple. If your works do not echo those of a changed soul, then you know that your “faith “ is not genuine and you are still under condemnation. He is giving you a way to test your faith by the works it produces
I’m Russian Orthodox, that means we believe in serving and glorifying Christ the way it was done in apostolic times. Yes, Christ paid the fine, he died for us on cross and now we have opportunity to be saved if we repent. We can’t just automatically assume since he died on cross we all are automatically saved, no need to do anything on our part, that would be false gospel. We believe we have to repent of all our sins, as well as attend church Every Sunday and continue confessing our sins as we need to priest, receiving communion afterwards which is body and blood of Christ as He said it himself in Bible.
2nd Nephi 25:23 is not a good verse to use with Mormons. That verse is an Old Testament verse. If you read it in context, Nephi is explaining the coming Christ, but for now, they obey the law of Moses. "After all we can do" is defined as keeping the law of Moses because it is a commandment while they look forward to Christ. Here's the next two verses:
You’re telling this kid to set up a meeting and for HIM to check out what your about, but he graciously invites you to his “talk” and you deflect his invitation
Yeah I would have loved to hear his talk too. He invited them in but they wouldn't go. Reminds me of a certain King who invited people to a feast but they wouldn't go.
I have a question not pertaining to this video. One that I'm struggling with as a Christian and I was wondering if someone may be able to shed light on it. A co-worker asked me today about a verse in the bible pertaining to slavery. how could a just God condone a girl being sold by her father into slavery, and say that she must submit to him and his commands no matter how harsh? I understand that slavery was different in biblical days and that bible also does say that anyone who kidnaps and enslaves another should be put to death, but then this seems to contradict Gods law in saying that the daughter sold by the father to pay off his debt, must adhere to the masters requests no matter how harsh. Its a great question. The exact verse is Exodus 21: 7-8
Glad you asked! Let's break down the whole passage (Exodus 21.2-11). Verse 7 says "she is not to go free as male servants do". Ok, how do male servants go free? Verse 2, "...he is to serve you for six years, but in the 7th year, he shall go free, without paying anything" [7th year = year of jubilee]. So then how does she go free? Verse 8, "if she doesn't please her master, he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners, because he has broken faith with her." What does that mean? What could she possibly do that doesn't please her master? Not sure. Maybe it's what she doesn't do. One thing is for sure, though, the Bible doesn't make slaves any exception to the law, so the woman's master can't have sex her unless he marries her (for example, Abraham married Hagar before he sired Ishmael). Furthermore, verse 10 is ambiguous as to whether it applies to the master or the master's son, since "he" in every other verse applies to the master. Supposing the woman is married while a slave, she is no longer treated as a slave, but gains all the rights of a daughter (vs 9) and all marital rights (vs 10). Marital rights, for the record, include self-sacrificing love and submission (Eph 5.21-25), and a specific command that he should not do her physical harm (Eph 28-33), but also includes every other passage in scripture relating to the way husbands ought to treat their wives. And if the master fails to provide her with all that, and food and clothing, then she goes free without having to pay him any money (as Hagar did when she was sent away by Abraham). If she is defiled outside of marriage by her master, the same penalties apply as if she were not a slave -- there is no place in scripture to suggest that they wouldn't. In fact, rather, even the penalty for criminals is limited so that Israel wouldn't see their fellow Israelites degraded (Deut 25.3). -- Every precedent in scripture points to the idea that slavery should not degrade the rights of an Israelite, whether male or female. It's a totally different system from what we see in early America. When people call slavery out as if the Bible is advocating some objective moral evil, they display their ignorance; they're projecting modern prejudices 4000 years into the past.
Why did the man on the left leave the Catholic Church? I know he said he read the scriptures on his own, but there has to be an underlying reason? I’m Catholic by the way!
Many reasons, I would urge you to look up the extra-biblical teachings of the catholic church. Praying and praising Mary, calling other fallen men father who need the grace of the Father just as much as you do, purgatory, works based salvation, baptism to take away original sin, sacraments, etc. the catholic church claims that only they have the ability to forgive sins, I thought that was only God? 🤔 Mark 2:7 “Who can forgive sins but God ALONE?” I strongly urge you to look into the difference between catholicism and Christianity, a god pastor on UA-cam for this is named Mike Winger Btw this is from someone who was raised catholic for the first 18 years of my life. Saved and born again at age 24 Praise Jesus Christ !!!
Cos Evagelists think their the ones who are right and Catholics aren't. Funny cos they are a reformed church out of Catholicism. Sounds like the child blaming the parent.
Boo Boo you can’t just read that verse without reading the rest of the verses around it... John 3:4 is Nicodemus asking Jesus how this is. And John 3:5 is where Jesus says this, “Very truly I tell you no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the spirit.” So here I would argue that at Baptism we are born again from the death of Original sin into the light of the grace of Christ.
mjcpc 74 You just gave me that Bible Verse with no context and none of the verses around it. If you read the full chapter you’ll see that this verse “Who can forgive sins but God alone,” is the scribes challenging and asking Jesus how he has the power to forgive the sins of the paralytic. This verse is not a statement but a question, which Jesus answers.
Man he got spooked. Really spooked. Perhaps, the Mormons should prepare their missionaries better, or at the least send older more seasoned men to do the mission work.
Mormons abuse the terms 'Eternal' and 'restored'. I know. I was Mormon for 35 years. Glory to God for finding me and showing me the true Gospel of Jesus Christ that is found in the New Testament.

these mormon lads won't take their pamphlets but the christians who were invited won't go into their church. so whats wrong with going into their church, I would sit there and talk to those people share the gospel and give them pamphlets. and if I get kicked out I get kicked out it would be all for the glory of God .
The Mormon says receiving the gift "requires action as well". The Bible clearly teachers this is false: Romans 4:4-5 ."To the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness."
James 2:14-17 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.
The major problem with Mormonism is that there is soooo much Christian terminology that is co-opted and redefined by the LDS Church so unless you dig a lot deeper. The tangled language can make it seem like you're talking the same thing and you can end up talking past each other. Google "Mormonism's Impossible Gospel." It's possible to show a Mormon that they have a ridiculously difficult path to salvation from their OWN writings.
Begtton means Born of Heavenly Father and an Earthly Mother. That's why Jesus is the Only Begotten. There is no one else on thise Earth that has such a genealogy as Him.
YHWH said the garden was good, as He died on the cross He said it is finished, and after He delivers all judgement upon the world, He will say it is done. Jesus of Nazareth is YHWH and He paid for our salvation with His Blood in full, but we receive Him through believing that He is Who He says He is. 1 John 5:5.
As a christian, my sect spent much times with others (Baptists, adventists, and others of different doctrine). And I don't know or (didn't hear the denomination the guy practices grilling these two young men.) But have spent time in Mormon churches as well. The people are welcoming, god fearing people who do believe in Jesus Christ. I am pentecostal prayed on their book. To me it was like another part of the jigsaw puzzle that is the true word of God. For anybody that has not spent time with them to say they worship Lucifer maybe take a look at other churches and ministies like the Catholic church. I commend these young men for not folding as a teenager in the Pentecostal church I've been approached like this before too. God bless these young men and the "interviewer" needs to go preach to those who haven't heard the word. From one Christian to another.
What?! They teach heresies and a false gospel! Their Jesus is a non-existent one. That Jesus cannot save. Their faith is based upon nasty and sickening lies.
Which Mormons or pentecostals? And have you ever been to one of their temples?! It says "The Church of Jesus Christ & Latter day saints". They even encourage you to have a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father & Jesus Christ. Please explain yourself more because you just sound like a recording regurgitating what the preacher, father, pastor said. I'm not mad at you, some people think they have tails😆.
Imagination is God in man, looking outside is classic theology that creates fear and repeating under the sun, Paul hinted who you are, Phil 2:5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Ethan Strunk We, the whole church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, are reading the book of Romans together world wide in our Come follow me manual. Now that we have that taken care of, let’s read the whole bible as a whole. I think it is hypocritical to say we twist Scriptures to our interpretation, when Jeff Durban and James White do as well to promote their doctrine of Calvinism. The bible says God would have all men come to Christ and be saved, When White and Durban day God saves only whom he chose before time. And I have read the whole bible cover to cover many times. So I already know all the Scriptures you use against us. In fact, I use to use them too, to prove the church wrong, until I read the actual teachings, and not the anti-Mormon junk, which is so taken out of context.
@@matthewkramer9975 The problem with your "prove" is that you would never be able to refute any other groups who make the same claims your group does without refuting yourself in the end, for all groups claiming to have the corner market on Christianity utilizes the same standards and applies the same Biblical passages to themselves and their leader/founder as you do with yours. If you believe you can refute other groups making the same claim your group does, please explain how you would go about doing that.
Anti-Mormon or ex Mormons don't understand the Bible itself. They don't have the keys to open the door of wisdom to understand God's will. Satan has darken their spirit. Don't get me wrong, that's my opinion based on the following scriptures just from the bible only. 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (2 Peter 1 KJV) Who has the keys to know the will of God? In the Old testament before Jesus was born in Amos 3:7 7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. When Jesus was born, God speaks through Jesus Christ and Jesus called his twelve apostles. Jesus built his church, and he told the conditions: Matthew 16:18-19 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. And then in Matthew 21 43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. I believe that God had given back his kingdom with all the keys to the nation of the USA, using the young farmer boy, Joseph Smith Jr. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. This Church is not the building, but the kingdom of God, and apostle Paul said as the HOUSEHOLD of God, is a GIFT where the Saints can be saved. So just don't read only verses 8,9 in Ephesians chapter 2, but the whole chapter so you don't misunderstood the real meaning of the scriptures. Highlight on verses 19-20 19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the HOUSEHOLD of God; 20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; Do you know any other church built upon the foundations of the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the chief corner stone? Again apostle Paul told you the important foundations in Ephesians 3 KJV 2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; Again and again apostle Paul wrote about the importance of the apostles and prophets: Eph 4 KJV read the whole chapter and mark following verses ; 3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; In 1 Corinthians 12 KJV the whole chapter, and notice following scriptures: 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. ------- Do I want you to agree with my comments including the scriptures? Nope! Let the true spirit of Christ guides. Here is the advice from apostle Paul in 1 Cor 2 KJV 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Philipians 2 Highlight verses : 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, *work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.*

James 1 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. You see how God loves us, then this is what Jesus said: 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14 KJV 24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: Matt 7 KJV
The apologia asks quick questions that requires in more detail answers and there are very good answers but not here i this discussion. Like after all you can do reference in the book of Mormon- there are professional answers but as i said we can not here it in this discussion.
The Mormons have their own website which tells you what they believe. They also have books. The true and living God was never once a man.
I left the church long long time ago. Had an old women that I used to visit and she confessed to me that she was questioning the church. At this time I was sorta in and out of the church. It has a strong hold on you!! Anyways this was back in the 80’s and when this lovely sister got married back in the 40’s she of course married in the Temple. She wore the old type of undergarments. When her granddaughter went in the 80’s they (you’re not supposed to tell of your visit to the temple) she told grandma what went on. It was far different from when she went! Because of that she started having doubts. The bishop said the prophet had a new revelation about the ceremony. But she couldn’t wrap her head around it!! I ended up telling her the true gospel and she cried and cried. The lies knowing her husband was in hell etc. I believe when she died she went to heaven. She accepted Jesus and only Him and denounced the faith!!
Apologia say that God doesn’t say to pray and listen. However the Bible says James 1:5. Apologia only preach their interpretation of the scriptures they never want anyone to rely on the witness of the Holy Ghost. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints always invites investigators to ask God and seek the witness of the Holy Ghost; Moroni 10:4,5. The Bible also testifies of the witness of the Holy Ghost: Luke 24:32, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:13, Acts 1:2, Acts 5:32, 1 Corinthians 2:10-14, 1 Corinthians 12:3, 2 Peter 1:20,21. 1 John 5:6.
I had to rewind that a few times to confirm what I was hearing from that young man- yikes
Best lies have some truth element or half truths.
Dangerous stuff
Ryan,
Go ahead write a book based on what this young man said.
But just be a mature man in faith, the young man may be said some thing he didn't mean to.
For anti Mormon and ex Mormons,
Let's read what Paul have suggested about reading the bible like a child;
Read 1 Cor 14
20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.
Read Eph 4 KJV
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
When he said "but Satan tells a lot of truth..." And started defending what the serpent said to Eve, I was shocked! These poor men being led astray by false doctrine! May God Bless them and show them the truth! Thank you guys and bless you for reaching out to these young men.
Trevyn Campbell
The important thing is they heard the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ so at the Great White Throne Judgment won’t be pointing their fingers and an excuse born again Christians didn’t tell them the TRUTH.
Satan has his own truth to captive the unfaithful. Not the truth that shall make you free from Christ in John 8:32.
@@grandpaje4734 yep loki has his own truth now

Isaiah 64:6 KJV
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
As an ex mormon I am sooooo glad God has revealed his truth to me. I am Christian now and so disgusted that all those years I was a mormon I was believing in something so wrong.
Same here. Hallelujah!
getting into heaven is almost assured to us. it is being exalted that one has to work towards. so yes, as a Mormon we are doing everything right while the world is only going after half the battle. fulfilling the commandments is easy but becoming a full believer starts with trying to be like him from the start. the restored gospel is a gift but like with most gifts, there are always strings attached. the most important of which is what we do in the temple.
Romans 10:9-10
“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. ”
Do you see anywhere in there that says be a good person or do good works and you go to heaven.
Also wearing those stupid religious undergarments is a joke. God bless you!
You guys crushed it!
In a very humble way,you gave him the truth of the gospel!
Serious question , was paul wrong in stating that the born again believer should
Put no confidence in the flesh ?
Through Christ we have a hope and a redemption to look
Forward to .
I’m
Sure you know this and perhaps you can consider that most Christians that seek deliverance are indeed Christians .
Even Satan quotes the Word of God and uses his children.
Clearly you can tell both young men are deceived by LDS!
Pray for their salvation!

Seems like a cool dude. I hope he will see his need to trust in Christ alone.
Me too 😢
Amen please pray for me to love them. Like Pual loved the Jews. I have trouble loving them. My sin.
well I'm not a Mormon but what a reasonable ,polite young dude.
Mormons usually are kind and friendly...ive counted many among my friends...but unfortunately thier idea of Scripture is a false one.
The youngest in the LDS church are not even aware of the extra doctrine.
Except he refused to read the information they gave. That was rude.
John 1:3 not John 1:2
The creator of here and all things we know. Doesn't contradict that he was created. God is the only alfa and omega, not Jesus Christ.
What a gracious young man. May he hunger for truth and these seeds planted grow.
My pastor back in Arkansas once said that the Mormon church raised very good, moral young men; but if they die without trusting in Jesus as their Lord and Savior they’re going to hell.
I pray that they learn who Jesus is and put their trust in him.
Joel Gaastra
I imagine it more as a disease to which there’s a cure, but it’s up to you to take the medicine that can save you and once you do you are cured.
@@joelgaastra2664 So how high do we need to climb in order to be saved? How much of the Law do we have to follow in order to be saved from hell?
Why not let people know, RIGHT AWAY, what they are getting into? Because many people would immediately see the CONFLICT between their man made doctrines vs the Bible. Eg. "Satan tells a lot of truth"????
Poor kid.
John 8:44
"You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, *because there is no truth in him.* When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies."
How hat comment SHOCKED me .
We can't undo what we have done.
sarah s Thank you
Also remember that when ever some one uses the word "try," it's always in the context of failure.
0:28 "just because there is a sure way, doesn't mean it's a guaranteed way".... isn't that contradictory? lol

What is the standard of "after all we can do?"
At the end of his life, Spencer W Kimball expressed his deep regrets that he had not done enough. Saying they believe in the atonement but in reality, being dependent on their own righteousness, I suspect most latter-day saints will never have true peace with God.

One God, not many, the true and Living Triune God of the Bible. None before, none after
They seem to kind and put-together. I hope the Holy Spirit convicts them!
"And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God . . . " (2 Cor. 4:3-4).

God is the uncreated Creator who created the universe and everything in it.
www.gotquestions.org/who-created-God.html
The true and living God was never once a man.

The Mormon is right about works. James 2:18-26 shows that faith and righteous works go hand and hand. In fact the concluding verse 26 of that 2nd chapter says: "Indeed, just as the body without spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead."

Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

How do we respond to questioning Jesus’ prophecy about the temple’s stones not being left upon another without being thrown down?” The Wailing Wall is supposed to be from the Temple.
The wailing wall is actually a wall of the Roman Fortress it's not the Temple
Yeshua's prophecy is true.
Luther didn't reject the book of James, as evidenced by him keeping it in the canon.
Yes looks like these evangelists forgot about James and obviously don't understand 2 Nephi even though they say they have read the BOM
You're right James really does put this false notion to the sword. The young missionary acknowledges both the saving grace of Christ and the need to support that in our deeds.
It appears to me from this video that it was more about confronting them about their religion rather than trying to convert them
And the title of your name on here and the aggressive response that you gave only furthers my point

A thought.
Mormon kid: "Satan tells a lot of truth" (Min 4:08) Jesus: Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44) ...
I caught that too! crazy...
John 8:44 ESV
He is the Father of lies, it is sad I agree.
..... the best lies are told with truths....
But, I love how you use verses from the greatest lie ever written to prove your point....
Some time ago i was against the ideia of total depravity. But looking at my own sins, i can't do anything to help me. These boys have the ilusion that they can "give their best", but everything comes from god.

mormons do not teach that you work your way to heaven.
nor that you are saved by your works.
if you keep saying that ... you are lying.
mormons however, do teach that you are required to do works, and you are judged on them ... just like the bible says.
So why do you need the Book of Mormon and other books?
@@davidbermudez7704 the same reason we need the bible.
nowhere in the bible does jesus claim that it is all we need.
simply because the bible did not exist for hundreds of years after the death of christ.
apostles were appointed by jesus so that the word of god could be brought to the earth when needed.

@@davidbermudez7704 why do we need any books of scripture ?
See James 2:24 "You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone."
The works Paul is referring to here is NOT the same as he is referring to in Romans, Galatians, namely circumcision, which does not save.
Paul in James is also not saying that works save us apart from Christ. Think of works here as symptoms of faith.
I know y'all agree. Like Paul says in James, "faith without works is dead"
The Mormon guy didn't discount saved by faith, through Grace in Christ.
Paul is also not including the Sacraments, such as baptism, when he says, "Works of the law."
We know from scripture that baptism saves us (1 Pet 3:21) and forgives our sins, imparts on us the Holy Spirit, (Acts 2:38) and "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned." (Mark 16:16)
Baptism is also how one becomes a disciple of Christ! "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,..." (Matthew 28:19)
Therefore generally speaking we are saved by grace, through faith in christ, and baptism seals the deal.
Genesis 1:29 Jesus Freak - this is so easy, but people make it hard by bringing in their own self effort ...which will always be filthy rags
Titus 3:5 - “He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”
that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” (Titus 3:7)
“… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus …” (Romans 3:23-24)
Romans 4:7 - 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
and whose sins are covered;
8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin.”
Gal 3 - Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, “ The righteous man shall live by faith.” 12 However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, “He who practices them shall live by them.” 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us-for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on A tree”- 14 in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
@UCACAeZ267Fsj27SZaTly13A I agree repentance and baptism are neccessary ordinances because they bring the Holy Spirit which is part of salvation. Faith with works is required.
that dude will see it one day
Well, hopefully it won't be on the day of judgement, as a person standing before God on his OWN merits - "judged according to what he has done" (Revelation 20:12).
Acceptance of the offer is all that is required because NOTHING you do in works can ever be enough
Good job, guys! Our best is as filthy rags! We are save by his grace alone!
I don’t agree with Mormons but works do matter.
Absolutely. Required? No.
poprock47 I disagree. St Paul was concerned about all of us “winning the race.”
It also makes no sense that only faith is required.
AJ Steele Ephesians 2:8 says “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” (NIV) That’s Paul speaking.
poprock47 I have no dispute with that verse. Scripture however interprets scripture.
“James 2:14-26 New King James Version (NKJV)
Faith Without Works Is Dead
14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
Its shocking that you would say works are "not required." Then again, many Protestants hold to this.
AJ Steele simple. If your works do not echo those of a changed soul, then you know that your “faith “ is not genuine and you are still under condemnation. He is giving you a way to test your faith by the works it produces
They really interrupt him. Just let him speak. They invite him to do things, but they won’t listen to what he’s suggesting.

This is so so sad. Ex-mormon here. Now Christian.

(2 Peter 1 KJV)
Who has the keys to know the will of God?
In the Old testament before Jesus was born in Amos 3:7
7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
When Jesus was born, God speaks through Jesus Christ and Jesus called his twelve apostles.
Jesus built his church, and he told the conditions:
Matthew 16:18-19
18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
And then in Matthew 21
43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Highlight on verses 19-20
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the HOUSEHOLD of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Do you know any other church built upon the foundations of the apostles and prophets with Jesus Christ as the chief corner stone?
Again apostle Paul told you the important foundations in Ephesians 3 KJV
2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
Again and again apostle Paul wrote about the importance of the apostles and prophets:
Eph 4 KJV read the whole chapter and mark following verses ;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
In 1 Corinthians 12 KJV the whole chapter, and notice following scriptures:
27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

Do I want you to agree with my comments including the scriptures? Nope!
Let the true spirit of Christ guides.
Here is the advice from apostle Paul in 1 Cor 2 KJV
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

The apologia asks quick questions that requires in more detail answers and there are very good answers but not here i this discussion. Like after all you can do reference in the book of Mormon- there are professional answers but as i said we can not here it in this discussion.
Paul says faith without works is dead. So you need works to have faith
Where is this?
The problem is the Christian guy is trying to tell the Mormon what he believes when he clearly doesn't understand what Mormons believe.
The Mormons have their own website which tells you what they believe. They also have books.
The true and living God was never once a man.
If you feel as though you can't test your own beliefs, you're not strong enough in them.
Trying our best eh? I wonder what Isaiah 64:6 has to say about that
I left the church long long time ago.
Glory to God!!!
The Bible also testifies of the witness of the Holy Ghost: Luke 24:32, John 14:26, John 15:26, John 16:13, Acts 1:2, Acts 5:32, 1 Corinthians 2:10-14, 1 Corinthians 12:3, 2 Peter 1:20,21. 1 John 5:6.
