Looks better than the water in Cities Skylines. No fucking joke. Dont get me wrong i love that fucking game, but LOOK at the water in this low budget 2d indie game! Fuck!
Its not like the game does the reflections on the fly. Talented artists.

Cough cough, they're not bridges sips, they're farms. ( you need to upgrade your base again to be able to hire farmers.) also you were super lucky you didn't lose the game. No crown, no king. (EDIT: No crown, no queen.)

+Sips Hey, here's some tips for later game :
1. Hire in the early morning/morning, Build in the evening/afternoon and buy inner upgrade in the night.
2. If you're bad on the moneyz and have nothing to do, lure the deers in for your hunter. Try to sneak in as far as possible outside the deers range and run toward the deer, you will get close to the deer and it will run the other direction, then do NOT try to run the direction the deer is going and do not get to close or it may change direction, instead walk slowly toward it and it will run toward your kingdom.
3. Stop over expanding, instead do something small, then upgrade, quality over quantity.
4. Higher tier base give less money, example is if you upgrade to a castle, you only get 1 coin every day. Sustain yourself before upgrading
5. Once you get the catapult workshop, have atleast 2 of them so you're prepared when the flyer come
6. Horsey need a little rest, you need to balance between galloping and resting(walking) and you won't have any problem with slow horse ever again.
7. For a good amount of worker(IMO) you need ; 1 Farmer for each farm (the more farmer,the more money you get), 3 idle worker(for construction) and 4 idle hunter(for..duh, hunting).
8. Cut down forest only when you need to expand. SAVE THE ECO-SYSTEM.
9. Towers must be higher than the walls, do something like this ; Tier 2 tower, tier 1 wall or tier 4 tower, Tier 4 wall
10. There's a feature on how to win but you haven't reach the stage yet so unless you wouldn't mind spoiler, I would wait till you reach the castle.

The big sharp log things you were talking about are called palisades. Do with this life-saving critical information as you will.
+Shna_na I think they started out as half chevaux-de-frise and grew into palisades as he upgraded them.
LiesieM Palisade is a very versatile term. It can mean anything from wooden wall to wooden spikes wedged into some dirt.

here is everything you need to know about the game, from what i found out, that i think you don't know yet!:
A. If you find a wooden structure in the forests, by upgrading it it allows you to upgrade towers, walls, and your main base. (Like entering the stone age)
B. When you have the highest level base, that i know of, you can begin sending knights(you can have 2 on each side and you purchase them at your main building) that will go attack the portals where the monsters spawn. Make sure when you send them that you have a large force of archers following them. Knights alone cant attack the portals, they only block and attack the monsters that attack them. The archers shoot at the portals. The portals have ALOT of health so you need ALOT of archers.
C. If you take to long in the game, eventually flying monsters will come at around wave 15 or something. The only way to kill them is with the highest level towers i think.
I am so invested in this. I need a series.
I love the fact that Sips plays these offbeat games. I never would have found this little gem, but now it's near the top of my game buying list.
Anyone else think this would be a great app?

Yup, I've been watching it all day. ^^
The UI of this game is absolutely majestic. I know there isn't any, but that's the point. It conveys everything you need to know through visuals and sounds instead of relying on ugly bulky text that would've detracted from the aesthetic. Like instead of a big warning flashing "DANGER" sign, they put a freakin scary-ass blood moon and ominous music. Fucking brilliant!

This has the promise to be a great series and I'd love to see more! Doesn't have to be too long, but just long enough so we can see you accomplish more and actually get your kingdom off the ground.
That blood moon was either horrible luck or this game ramps ultra fast! Anyone know if that's the case?
Wave based- it build roller coaster style, but if you can survive the climax, you'll usually get a day off.
That sounds rather solid. I guess the best thing to do is save coins just in case you start losing dudes over night
+Black Ribbon another great thing about that idea, is the heretics will steal your coins first, before stealing your crown. But sips really needed to invest in better fortifications (ramparts might be the word he was looking for).
+Mindmessed As we only saw the crown knocked off what happens after? If they get a second hit on you before you collect it I presume you die? It mustn't be very long game either I guess.

those walls with sharpened spikes and a ditch in front are called a palisade, thank you romans.
That "thing" at the river is actually a farm. You need a scythe and a person to wield it to earn some money from it. You call these "defensive logs" stockade. At bloodmoon you get a big wave of monsters, but the night after that, none at all.

The sharpened logs in the ground are called a pallisade. Also known as stakewall or paling.

2:40 holy FUCK that sunrise. I like how the dynamic lighting (which doesnt even exist in this game) in this TWO-DEE game is more realistic and beautiful than in many 3d AAA titles. Fuck, shows you that ARTistic talent is what matters, not budget or tech.
