For the bell, you only ring it once. It takes awhile for the knight squads to get in because it prioritizes specific squads. It prioritizes the 4 nearest archers, and 3 nearest builders. Then it prioritizes the 2 cliff side knight squads and 1 squad from the cave side. Hermits get on the boat after you pay to leave. Sometimes it takes a bit for builders and archers as well if your dock is very central, so it takes them a minute to walk from your outer-most walls (which is where they typically hang out). Also, you should probably point out that clearing the closest trees on either side of a vagrant camp will despawn the camp, and vagrants will no longer spawn there (so clearing trees outside your base isnt always the best strategy).
tips from me (and possible spoilers in form of interesting mechanics) 1. don't destroy portals when you are new to an island. there is something named counterattack wave and it is similiar to blood moon 2. same with hobo camps, you shouldn't destroy them, you can but you will lose slave workers income or you will make them too expensive 3. hermits and mounts are not necesarry for winning a game but they can help very much in progresing through it 4. don't invest in too many builders and pikemen/ninjas/shields, but you need at least 3 per side or more depending on an island 5. statues are necessary for survival, they boost some of your aspects like walls archer accuracy or farmers max capacity per farm 6. when attacking portals you can heal knights by giving them coins 7. if you lose hermit/dog/gem you can get them back by destroying cliff portal (which i will not spoil how to do) 8. during winter you still can get coins not only by using pikemen/ninjas but also by tasking farmers with harvesting beries 9. trees sometimes give double money and that's all for today
You probably will not be able to escape a Cave with a Basic Mount, 99% sure about that. Although it is true that hermits arent necesarry, I used 2 hermits (and 1 time each of them) so not much.
idk if it's helpful but i think there's a chance that CTA wave won't happen if you guys destroy portals at daytime. But like I said, "chance" so you better have enough units, incinerated oils and of course maximum watch towers and walls ( bronze mine ) bc gawd i hate jelly Greed so badly, it's always stole units away. Honestly it seems like just leaving open plains is lucrative enough. I feel like farms are a waste of time. They make for a great alternative, but massing archers with hunting plains seems the best. Then just hoard as much as you can.
Well, you can go to island 2 and unlock the stone technology, and then get a few gems and store em in the chest near the ship, and then get the greed to take your crown, so you'll return to island 1 with the stone technology and gems also the greed attacks will be reset, if you do it the right way, you'll be able to cheese the entire game just like I did in my dead lands playthrough.
There's a mistake in the video though - ringing the bell multiple times does nothing, you only have to ring it once and everyone will come (unless at the time of ringing you don't have enough people to fill the boat and you later aquire more people).

If you got the dog and it got stolen, it's not time to reset, but time to go full doom mode. Blow up the cave, go get your doggo back You apparently get the option to blow up the caves when you're at stone level, I haven't gotten there yet

i remember as a kid playing the original game and loving it. years later grown up a bit remembered about the "new" version of it and wanted to play it and was mostly loved it I say mostly as there are 2 things that destroy the game the gems witch can soft lock you (if say you didn't get something in a past island and have visited all of the islands and then lose the crown you also lose the gems making it imposbal to get that thing you missed) and the leepers witch ruin the whole point of the game (idely iff you lose your crown you want it in a blood moon with all of your people killed and the walls falling down that is what gives me the rush and the fun of it but the leepers ruin it because I can never get to that point as before I know it hi joinks the crown leaves and refuses to albrate 100% of my loses are due to it and there are no counters to this thing it can get you in the middle of your kingdom and boom lost, oh your archers could have maybe killed it? oh no I don't remember asking)I was hoping there tips would help these 2 issues but sadly this game was left with some major holes
its a part of the experience... you're not supposed to just farm coins and destroy every portal and win every island with zero deaths... losing is an aspect of every game, not being a loophole or an issue and rather a experience and making it more interesting

I've played through the games multiple times and basically just stuck with the gryphon because of its very good speed and ok effect I'm sure that stuff like the lizard can be good a times but I prefer a higher speed pretty much all the time
I played in cursed mode and it was very different, but this trick is pretty good for the lower difficulties lol. In cursed mode, the number of Greeds that appear to attack you is very large in just 30 days.
Yes. Have a big enough squad and preferably a griffin upgrade your central camp enough to have bomb signs on 1 side and have so much money so that once you get to the cliff you enter by paying on the bomb enough money to go inside.

During the tutorial, you have infinite coins (finite coins that refill when your bag is empty) and time slows down. It only lets you spend coins on certain things unless you pause and unpause, leaving you a few seconds, which is enough time to purchase anything three coins or cheaper. Basically, you could do in a single day what would have taken a week. DO NOT BUY WALLS NEXT TO CENTER, THEY PUT YOUR ARCHERS AT A TACTICAL DISADVANTAGE BY OBSTRUCTING THEIR CLEAR SHOT. Also, the center walls upgrade themselves when the center is upgraded to a certain extent.
You must upgrade your townhall to a certain level. On the walls of the town hall/castle there will be an option to buy 4 shields. The vagrants will come over and pick them up making them knights. To upgrade to squires you need to progress abit further and a smithing building will appear within your walls. Here you can buy swords which the knights will come along and pick up, making them squires.
On the second island there will be a lump of stone, pay the coins to it then it will build itself into a stone mine same with iron on the fourth island

I don't know why, but my builders just stopped destroying the trees impeding my progress. I've already marked all the remaining trees and they still don't break them. Is this a bug?
After you teleport to a whatever spot you choose the purple stuff stays behind for a little bit and you can build the new portal in that spot for a few coins.

I'm probably too late answering for you, but in case anyone else wants to know, there's 4 shields total (two each side), and they can be bought from the main central base, either side the vault where the banker stores the gold. Costs four gold for each shield.
@@Electragirl5 as long as you leave one tree on either side of the camp it'll stay there. usually you're able to then chop more trees down after it, and work your way back, just leaving the camp with a tree on each side of it.
its on the second island there will be a cave there and you can pay it coins and it permanently lets you upgrade to stone on that save on every island, and the first if you didnt know you could go back. even if you lose the crown youll still have the ability to upgrade to stone or iron which is on the 4th island

I hope I won't come too late You can go through enemies portal, but they will activate if you're standing next to it for too long, so sprinting is recommended. Appart from that, you're good. Otherwise you can launch an attack if you've one or two commander on one side. You get them at the townhall under a certain level, and can have two per side. They you can ring the bell in front for the furthest wall on a side to launch an attack on the nearest portal on that side. Ring it twice to double the troups that will attack. You can clear as many portal as you want that way, but be careful as each portal destroyed will trigger a stronger enemy attack during the next night, equivalent to a blood moon. I also think destroying them will make the night attacks permanently more difficult but I'm unsure

For someone who has been stuck on island 3 with no rhyme or reason for getting coins, this video was just a spoiler filled whatever burger. Like teaching me algebra before learning how to add and subtract.
Yeah. Bought this today, spent 5 hours building too much and realizing now I'm too far in to be able to destroy portals. Already not really a fan of having to start over from scratch after hours of investment. So having major spoilers like that really takes the wind out of my sails and gives me slight buyer's remorse. He paid money and got to discover things. I paid money and my sense of discovery was taken because he wanted to flex in a video designed to draw the attention of newcomers.
It's satisfying if you can beat the game with the first hero without having to rely on the heir to finish the job. Thecreators should have given players more time to strengthen forces until the 5th island. They should have given 200 days before crown stealer and breeder arrive. Also the developers made shipwrecked slow to rebuild. On the first island, its easy but on second and 5th island, you'll need nassive anount of coins to rebuild. Arent the builders experienced enoigh to repair it?
It's not much. Winter here actually ends and you can go back and forth to your old islands. It also has more mounts and a new form of currency called gems. Also the goal of this game is to eradicate the greed whereas the goal of New Lands was to expand after you get kicked out because of winter.
I come here to learn about the game because I'm NEW. I appreciate the tips but the spoilers are NOT cool. This game offers very little after a set point and spoiling these things really takes some of the "discovery" out of it. For this reason I had to down vote the video.
You can offer mechanicals and management tips and tricks without spoiling Mounts, locations, upgraded building looks etc. etc. I understand some exposure is a necessity but in this video I determined the images shown to be unrelated to the tips and tricks. (Unicorn Mount) thus....my claim holds true. I mean no offense or disrespect. Just feedback to be mindful of these things in the future. I disliked the video a lot for spoiling those things for me.
Lots of complaints about the spoilers. IMO you should take this video down. It's really lousy to make a beginner video and do that, effectively rendering our purchase a waste of money. I can never be surprised or excited to discover that end-game thing now. And I don't really even want it anymore because I'm sour after this.

Do the villagers ever build catapults on more than one side of a town? I've only ever seen the workshop appear on one side at a time.
You can get on both sides
Workshop is dvided on 2 sides. Depend on where you want to get your catapult, you have to build it standing on the correct side.
Except for the knight workshop, it just appear on one side

you don't cut down the trees by the camps and they won't dissappear.
At that point your fucked. In order to leave the camps keep the two nearest trees on either side of the camp. You can clear the trees after them.
So this is why the camps magically goes away ..
I built a few structures that pump out 2 or 3 people at a time for about 9 coins each person.
if you destroy a camp you can build a 8 coin structure there, and you can hire people there for 7 coins

For someone who has been stuck on island 3 with no rhyme or reason for getting coins, this video was just a spoiler filled whatever burger. Like teaching me algebra before learning how to add and subtract.
Yeah. Bought this today, spent 5 hours building too much and realizing now I'm too far in to be able to destroy portals. Already not really a fan of having to start over from scratch after hours of investment. So having major spoilers like that really takes the wind out of my sails and gives me slight buyer's remorse. He paid money and got to discover things. I paid money and my sense of discovery was taken because he wanted to flex in a video designed to draw the attention of newcomers.

It's satisfying if you can beat the game with the first hero without having to rely on the heir to finish the job. Thecreators should have given players more time to strengthen forces until the 5th island. They should have given 200 days before crown stealer and breeder arrive. Also the developers made shipwrecked slow to rebuild. On the first island, its easy but on second and 5th island, you'll need nassive anount of coins to rebuild. Arent the builders experienced enoigh to repair it?

It's not much. Winter here actually ends and you can go back and forth to your old islands. It also has more mounts and a new form of currency called gems. Also the goal of this game is to eradicate the greed whereas the goal of New Lands was to expand after you get kicked out because of winter.

I come here to learn about the game because I'm NEW. I appreciate the tips but the spoilers are NOT cool. This game offers very little after a set point and spoiling these things really takes some of the "discovery" out of it. For this reason I had to down vote the video.

well it is a tips and tricks video it's gonna kind of spoil the figure it out on your own thing
You can offer mechanicals and management tips and tricks without spoiling Mounts, locations, upgraded building looks etc. etc.
I understand some exposure is a necessity but in this video I determined the images shown to be unrelated to the tips and tricks. (Unicorn Mount) thus....my claim holds true. I mean no offense or disrespect. Just feedback to be mindful of these things in the future. I disliked the video a lot for spoiling those things for me.

Lots of complaints about the spoilers. IMO you should take this video down. It's really lousy to make a beginner video and do that, effectively rendering our purchase a waste of money. I can never be surprised or excited to discover that end-game thing now. And I don't really even want it anymore because I'm sour after this.
