My mom used to work for an architect company as a secretary/typist , so she would type up the proposal for Mickey's Toon Town and the ideas for it, she told me they had so many changes from the first draft. Their company got chosen to work on it so she was invited to be one of the first few people to go to ToonTown. I thought it was an interesting story. Now we can't go to Disneyland without stopping there. :)
Here’s an interesting story, we lost my brother in Disneyland we spent the whole day looking for him we had to ask staff employees to help and it was chaos at the end of the day when the park was about to close we found him ON THE JOLLY TROLLY 😂😂
All I did when I went to the park is get mad about how much potential the online game had based off the park and how it was just thrown away. I thought the gag factory would of made a great addition to the now dead mmo.
Hope Lewis yes, they didn't buy toontown back. Wouldn't expect anything good to come out of them even if I was paid. Corporate Clash is way better yet I give their servers about a year.
Every time I spot these, I'm thinking "Hidden Mickey there! And there!" I'm also using these videos for a research project. Thanks for adding so much detail in them! Oh, and I also made the recipe. SOOOOO GOOOD!
I remember in toon town they had a behind the scenes and certain visitors(music in the parks kids) got to go in their recording studios and play Disney music and watch their recorded music in the animated scene in that Disney movie. Teens got to experience what it’s like being prepared for that kinda stuff getting to wear headphones that let you know when to play and they got too meet a famous conductor that helped with Disney music for their movies.
Great video! Super informative :) Another fun fact that not many people know is that Roger Rabbit was suppose to have a second floor similar to Alice in wonderland, but the taxi cabs ended up being too heavy to go up a floor and they had spent too much of the budget already.
if you look at the mickey notes on the piano, there's a hidden goofy and donald. unfortunately, the plastic covering is kind of scratched so it's hard to see, but if you shine a light and wait long enough you can see it!
4:08 - 4:18 is my favorite part of this whole video. I can't stop rewatching that moment hahaha and also I had no idea so many awesome things were in Toontown all this time. Thank you for the great video!
Mickey's TOON TOWN!!! My favorite area of Disneyland!!! There is SO much you didnt show, but I am glad you did show what you did..... because it's really truly a piece of art. The whole area.... I miss it so much, I want to go there all the time.
Im sad they took out the Disney Word toon town and replaced it with a forgettable circus theme. Oh well, it does have some good theming for Dumbo I guess. Awesome video!
Love your entire series! Thanks for all the research and info on each land! Subbed to your channel - so fun! I remember when Chip & Dale's treehouse exited by slide to the ball pit. My daughters loved that so much!
I think Toontown is delightful. Exciting for little ones and un-rushed for older folks. I also like that it still has something grandparents can do with their grandchildren, instead of thrill rides that we physically cant handle anymore. I also like that the host of Provost Park Pass didn't act so foolishly; I've stopped watching most of his posts because of his manic behavior, but this was very pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you!
I love your videos so much, and I watch them over and over again. I especially love watching them when I'm going to go to Disneyland soon. It really gets me in the Disney mood. Love ya! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️❤❤❤❤
That's sucks that some of the other cool stuff like the water being colored by light and the wind up trolly being broken down. I mean, Disney has way beyond more stuff to make up for it, but it would've been cool to see.
I absolutely love Toon Town! More than any other land, I think it epitomizes that Disneyland magic... I was really afraid it was gonna get demolished to make room for Galaxy's Edge. Glad it still stands!
2:26 Mailbox: Y-Y-Your not gonna put mail in me are ya?! Me: *hides the letter I was gonna send* What? No! Of course not! It's not like you're a mail box or something
Yup, I was about to post the same thing. Sold 'em off a while back and you are correct, that is why they are now just called the "Anaheim Ducks." Colours changed from purple, white, and teal to black and gold, and the logo changed too. They still play clips from the Mighty Ducks movies between plays (Quack! Quack! QUACKQUACKQUACK!!!) in fact, they use the Mighty Ducks at the AHL San Diego Gulls games too. Aside from those little throw backs though, the new owners pretty much distanced themselves from the old Disney branding. Fun fact: the movie, The Mighty Ducks NHL team was actually created as a marketing gimmick for the movies. Disney made a national hockey team to promote a movie franchise 🤣
Provost Park Pass of course! 😊 I started looking hockey because of 'The Mighty Ducks' and then was STOKED as a kid when they actually became a real hockey team (no lengths Eisner wouldn't go to for a quick buck lol) I became basically the only hockey fan in my family lol. Tons of people still wear the old/movie jerseys even to Gulls games down here (SD) since we're the sister team to the Ducks. They've got a cool history.
Provost Park Pass lol, yes it is. I used to go all of the time as a kid, but after we got too old for the kids clubs pass-thing that they have, we stopped going as much. That was also about the time Hoffman's game started slipping and they kept trading off some of their best players, so I guess it wasn't too bad lol. My mum is still a HUGE baseball fan, and I'm pretty sure she's got a permanent grudge against Bruce Bochy....
I don't see my -Goofy's- Gadget's Go-Coaster comment. Edit: Okay, I found it. It was actually a different account, with the same username and a slightly different Frozen logo.
Another great video by you! Seriously, these are so fun to watch and I learn something new every time. I'm definitely telling all of my friends to subscribe. More videos please!
I Love Toontown °o° 💕😊 That's Where I Bought My Roger Rabbit Plush When I Visited Disneyland in 2009 😊 And Yes I Do Still Have Him :) 😀 It's A Shame Though They Don't Sell Him Anymore In Toontown 😔😯

if yall use to play toon town online their are toon town rewritten and toon town corporate clash keep in mind they as they are still testing the games and they are in beta stage their will be issues such as crashing from time to time or lag but don't let this stop you from playing them as they are games brought back by fans who adored the original toontown before it was shut down. another side note: toon town corporate clash is actually toon town rewritten only the buildings have been scambled around so they wont be in their original spots plus its in HD so if you walk around you will notice things like the ice cream cowns looking more solid instead of looking like a cardboard cut out
I think Toontown is such an overlooked land since (a) it's not one of the classic lands, (b) it's kind of hidden away, and (c) as you said, it opens later and closes earlier. It used to be one of my favorite lands as a kid (I wanted to live there!) but when I went back in May for the first time as an adult, I didn't spend as much time there as I thought I was going to because there aren't many attractions and everything is aimed at young kids. Maybe Toontown just needs a refurbishment or a new ride. I'd hate to see Disney remove Toontown for something else!
I remember going to toon town for the first time. It was getting dark and I went ahead a bit and saw the electric door. I can back to my family. As we were passing I said that I wanted to try the door. As I opened it I pretended that I was getting electrocuted. It freaked my family out. I still remember their faces. Lol.
I know you continually corrected yourself, wrong coaster/wrong park, but I do find it interesting that in 1993, Disney decided to name it after a supporting character in an afternoon cartoon show. Rescue Rangers was pretty successful, but by that time it was airing in reruns, and with a time slot pushed further and further away from the demographic that would actually watch it. If school let out at 3, (which, during the 92-93 season was the same time the show aired) it would air the second the bell rang. It takes children 30-60 minutes to get home typically, so unless they had their folks schedule their VCR to record, and had enough tape, they would miss it. And it just got worse for the older children (11yo+) who’s schools would let out even later. They would only have enough time to see one single Disney Afternoon show. Which, depending on the year, meant that these children might never have even been given the chance to see the show, despite its popularity. So, just like with Splash Mountain, you’ve got people riding something not even named after the show, and based on characters they didn’t know originally came from one. And with no animatronic, or imagery, guests don’t even know who Gadget even was.
Provost Park Pass it was the best. Although I doubt that it would come back, it actually has a better chance the original club penguin. As far as I know, all the Club Penguin accounts are gone. However, all ToonTown Accounts are still stored

I’m just going to say this. ToonTown is too small. It needs a major overhaul/ renovation, and more attractions.
And a few mansions for the Fab Five.
They are adding Mickey and mines runaway railway

Fun fact. My uncle helped build toon town.

Another fun fact that not many people know is that Roger Rabbit was suppose to have a second floor similar to Alice in wonderland, but the taxi cabs ended up being too heavy to go up a floor and they had spent too much of the budget already.
You are right about the second floor for Roger. In fact it's still there above the exit and power factory. You can clearly see the crash doors
if you look at the mickey notes on the piano, there's a hidden goofy and donald. unfortunately, the plastic covering is kind of scratched so it's hard to see, but if you shine a light and wait long enough you can see it!

The ingredients in the dip from Roger rabbit are all paint thiners so the actually erases cartoons
That was actually what inspired the paint and thinner system in epic Mickey
Seeing Pluto literally run up to you made a huge smile appear on my face. He was SO excited to say hi to you, Provost!
