Thanks for the video I have a 2016 and I've not been able to find much information on it. I'm still looking for the fuse box that supposed to be under the steering wheel. I pulled off the cover and I can't see one anywhere. Can you help me out on that? I'm not stupid I've been working on cars for 50 years but I can't find this one to save my life
Thank You very much. I wanted to change it for about 3 years but was afraid to do it, considering it's a DOT registered CMV commercial registered bus. Definately don't want to drive a hack job in the scale house for DOT level 1 inspection. lol. (They would have fun with that.). The professionals only want $450. Us being a church can't afford to do that.
@@surfxx I have a 97 e350.. I swapped over to the updated 2006+ door panels and center console... They were direct fit.. That 2008+ dash you have has better vents.. better radio placement and a glove box.. more storage on the top of the dash too Can I swap over to you updated dash? I can not find any verifiable info .. My e350 is a 21 foot class b+ RV.. storage is key
@@camposvazquez that's good. I've seen people upgrade the front grille, fenders and hood but not the dash. Maybe the ford dealership would know. Good luck.👍
its more of a hassle. you would have to pull out all the electrical connectors and then reconnect them. if you cant squeeze the new stereo in, yes you would have to remove the panel.
Of course. The older vans had the holes on either side and a tool to aid in removal. Simplicity itself. Ford's engineers looked at that and thought: 'Hey! We can improve on this! Let's make it really, really difficult for the owners to get the goddamn radio out! Let's redesign it so they'll have to tear the entire dashboard out to remove the radio! Now THAT'S an improvement!' Some of these engineers should be beaten with their 'improvements.'
Thanks for doing this. The E series has very little love on UA-cam for help videos.

Yw, 2016 Ford Econoline?
@@surfxx its a E350 Ford motorhome 2016
It should be to the left of the brake pedal. There might be a cover covering it so you don't see it
I got a 2009 E350. This was super helpful.
What connector did you use? Taking the stereo out wile a PIA is nothing compared to being able to find the right wiring harness adapter
Thanks, just the video I needed.
Do you have to remove the "dog house" to remove the radio?
I was wondering the same thing myself.
Anybody know how to replace lights in original stereo system? Ones behind buttons specifically or if the can be?
I thought mine was the old one.. and it wasn't working.. tore up the old radio...lol.. thanks for this video
do we need dash kit for stereo 7 inch?
for ford e250 year 2012
Did you have to run the yellow wire from the stereo to the battery? Or all you needed was hook up the aftermarket wire harness to the stereo?
I think I bought an aftermarket wire harness at best buy that plugged right in.
@@surfxx WHICH wiring harness adapter???
@@thomasmendez2816 I bought the one for ford. It depends on the make and model of vehicle. It will say it on package.

You're welcome. Yes that would of been nice

Thank you!!
Why did you end up cutting the dash?
I didnt cut the dash.
thanks
no problem!
This worked for my 2012. This doesn’t cover 08 though. That’s an oddball
Why you didn't remove just the last panel?
its more of a hassle. you would have to pull out all the electrical connectors and then reconnect them. if you cant squeeze the new stereo in, yes you would have to remove the panel.
Because is a fucking pain in the ass too.
Because the heater/AC controls are run by vacuum lines, you remove those and you are headed to the dealership for sure.
@@autotektom I know this is a late response but yes it's definately a fkin pain in the azz to get off
This will not work for a 2008
extremely stupid design, damn i hate ford...
sorry but this is a terrible...show nothing....video....try again !!!!
