I've never ridden an Aprilia before. Today that changed. I got to ride @MotovationUSA 's 2021 Aprilia RS660 and I gotta say. I love this bike. Dare I say more than the Yamaha R6 I used to have. This is a really really nice motorcycle. It's got all the gizmos and gadgets you'd hope for on a sportbike, it's easy to ride, it's got a great exhaust sound, and it's well priced for the power. @Lorin Sanchez I think it goes 151mph like in video but if you compare it to like a GSXR-600 that goes 140 in 4-5th gear its not good at top speed, i could see how to rs 660 is a great track bike for sure
The RS 660 and the new R7 are actually direct competitors to each other. Both in class and on track in the twins cup. The Aprilia is just a way better bike, and for the money it better be.
I've see one in person and heard it but haven't had a chance to ride one...from what I've seen it seems like a really cool bike. Love the looks and the sound. Great review as always brother!

ive loved these since they first came out. i hope i get the chance to ride one at some point. they look awesome. i love that aprilia made a 600. i wish bmw would make a 600 sport bike.
if bmw ever creates a 600, i’ll get the first one right away

The bike would be really, really light
RPM's are lower because it's a twin, not an inline 4. Also, redline (or at least the shift lights) can be adjusted in the menu on the dash. My Tuono V4 is the same. It's set lower from the factory for break in.

I completely love my RS 660!
I have 15 motorcycles, and this one is the most fun to ride and easiest to ride fast. Fantastic motorcycle.

I’ve always wondered why none of the major motorcycle manufacturers had produced a bike that combined the style and performance of a supersport with the comfort of an entry level sport bike like the Ninja 400/650 or CBR 500R. Looks like Aprilia finally filled that niche.

2022 is going to be an interesting riding season for me (I live in Canada can't ride all year). I am FINALLY dumping my CBR500R and it's gonna be between this bike and the R7 for my next bike. So having you upload a video like this and more future R7 content is really going to help me out before hand with researching these 2 bikes!

I want him to ride the Mv Agusta F3 800 RC, according to Super Bike Racer it is probably the best bike he ever ride.
After 5 years of owning a F4, I got out of the MV game. Sad when KTM makes getting parts and service more readily available.

If a twin sounds like a 4 cylinders, it's time to worry about it.
you can adjust redline in menu settings on newer aprilia`s
I love the look and the sound of them. I prefer the Tuono since I come from a Naked background. Had a chance to ride the RS though. it felt like it had dead spots in the power band but you wouldn't experience that if you are on it. Considering getting one but its just tough when you can also get something like the Duke 890 for a similar price.
It’s cutting the revs early like a Ducati? I know until you’ve had the first service done the red line is limited far below it’s actual peak to protect the motor
Bmw has stupid things like that to
its called break in period, the first 1000 km or 600 miles, they cut the revs to 8500 mostly to protect the engine, after that u done ur first service and enjoy the power, no issues in speeding to the top but u cant just rev it to limiter

So not had a bike for 18 years. I promised my late mother I wouldn’t get another. But this is on my radar for in about 5 years. Ticks all the boxes.
Does the power feel significantly more than the R7? 151 mph on a 600 twin is pretty impressive!

Cruciata already does. Same company that does the fairings for the RS660 Trofeo, which has an SC Project full system on it from the factory.
After getting my m license and riding my buddies older cbr600 for a while this is very appealing.

Is it a true sport bike? Or is it more like the the Honda 650 that’s kind of in between? I hate the windscreen honestly but good lord I love the aesthetics of Aprillia’s bikes. So sick. Can’t decide if I’d rather get the new S1000RR or wait for the next Aprillia RSV4.

I got my license this year and now I have to decide between the R7 and the RS660. Unfortunately, the price for the R7 is not yet fixed but one suspects 9k in Germany. The RS660 originally cost 11.5k, but is already available for 9.9k at the dealer. Actually I was sure it would be the RS660, but then the R7 came out in the 60th anniversary edition ... now it's 50:50 again.

Had my eyes on the RS660 since it was released, then the R7 came out so I cross shopped the two. There’s a lot of benefits with the 660 as there is with the R7 …but the price of the Aprilia was just not what I wanted to spend. Chose the R7 and couldn’t be happier
I look at it like this the cost of throwing half then upgrades into the r7 to catch up to the rs would cost much more than the 1600 price diff
Ok i was wondering what bike i should buy after having all these for the last 7 years(suzuki bandit 650s,kawasaki z750,honda cb1000r,again another one kawasaki z750,and now a gsxr600)now i finally made my decision..aprilia rs660 this is exactly what i want based on my life and daily use of the bike.

I notice you guys in the States have your headlights on full beam (blue light on the dash).
In the UK the etiquette is not to. So as we don't dazzle and temporarily blind on coming traffic. Was it an error or do you always ride with it on?

It's more expensive than the R7 but I'll say it's worth it. You got a lot of tech for the price.

Rode one of these after buying my R6 and hated it -- the vibration on this bike is pretty bad in my opinion.. I couldnt see shit out of mirrors (whether you use them or not) but feet would go numb quickly which annoyed me. I also rode an Aprilia RSV4 2019 factory. I didnt like it more than my R6, even as a 1000cc I like my R6 more. I will say the RSV4 felt really nice, not much vibration and def a shit ton of power, it would hurt my hands tho compared to the R6 I usually on get back fatigue.

@@ahmadqiamullail1970 Heyo - I bought a 2020 R6 back in late May.. was going to go used 2014, but decided not to last minute. I think the RSV4 factory is pretty solid - I'm 6'2 and I think the riding position leaves me putting a lot more pressure on my hands. As for the R6 I'd like to think that fit perfectly in terms of seating position. I can flat foot any bike I've sat on thus far - and riding the R6 only tires my back out after multiple hours.
I will say the RSV4 factory is more leaned towards the track, my friends came with a akrapovic exhaust zero miles, less comfortable seat (more towards track/performance)... but I think it rides nice. One thing I dont like is these little buttons on the left side of the handlebars for traction control.. they made them into like giant buttons instead of small ones - so they got in the way when messing with angle of levers.
@@SickV I see..thanks for the info..currently I'm riding 2009 r6..but it's too old and performance drop..it's either rsv4 or zx10r . In my opinion r6 gonna sore my back too after few hours ride..but it's easier to lean + monster in 600 catagory . And it's cheap hahaha..

I don't live in a place where that speed is needed on highways, and it's sure not needed on twistys, so I'll stick to the powerhouse 600 haha

The RS 660 is not a 600. 600s have high reving 4 cylinder engines whereas the RS 660 has a torquy 659ccm 2 cylinder engine.

You riding with the high beam on? I think I understand why people like to use high beam, downside is that for other people it is difficult to judge your speed. Ever thought about that? Your brain needs at least 2 clear frames in time to judge speed and that is hard when you're blinding them.
But hey, maybe you didn't have high beam on hahah anyways be safe!

There is no comparison from an inline 4 to a Ptwin. Which is the case with the 660. You should be comparing it to another PTwin in it's class.

Here I thought KTM RC 390 has crazy rearsets and Aprilia comes with 660 with weirdest rearsets I have ever seen on a motorcycle.
Can u switch a bike with a quick shifter to GP shift without effecting the quick shifter?
Im confused, when a ninja 650 sounds like this they say parallel twin sucks. This is exactly now a ninja 650 and a cbr500r sounds on Yoshimura. This is not even close on a ducati twin.

Depends on how much money you have after buying the bike. One will require oil every 5 years, the other requires you’re entire wallet and it’ll be put on back order between recalls.

Unfortunate you keep comparing it to the R6. Should make it clear they are not really comparable. This is more like the new R7/MT-07, which is much cheaper but lacks a lot of tech. Twin instead of inline 4.
