I saw CUBE twice in theatres when it came out... of nowhere and I loved it, Still do. Everytime either Vincenzo Natali or David Hewlett are in something, it's a watch. Great interview guys, loved the lighthearted side of it all.

Thanks Salty Nerds, this was an excellent conversation, really was. All guests made this an interesting hour to spend with you. David is a seriously talented actor and has stayed humble and down to earth despite his Stargate rise to fame.

Oh my god this is an actual gem of a podcast episode. Can't believe it hasn't gotten more traction. I love hearing all of these takes from them on how they made the movie. Cube has become such a classic. Thank you for this great Podcast/ Interview

Cube was such a great concept as a Sci-Fi/Horror movie

Because I'm into obscure movies/series, I remember Maurice Dean Wint from RoboCop: Prime Directives, which was a Canadian 4 part mini-series. It's not for everyone, but Maurice is a good reason to watch it. More recently, I've seen him in SurrealEstate, and he is in my opinion the coolest character on that show.

Oh, man. That "life on the outside" concept would have been great. Twin Peaks season 3 vibes.

Ti get the chance after so many years to hear the concept behind is so fascinating ! Great guests. I am in awe as a film studio graduate 😂😂😂many many years ago , I am starstrack. I only graduated for my love of movies and I never sought a job in that area. I am an English teacher and I own my hospitality business but moviemaking is my passion!!!
Thank you to all of you

omg meander is amazing I mean I saw the trailer an it hit me hard I mean really hard because of the round gates. In 2006 or 2007 or something between 2006 -2009 I was obsessed with the Cube movies and I think I had dream about something like that .
It was a room it had glass blocks on one side and a metal wall next to it it had round gate and next to the gate the wall had segments which go up the other segment too an then fall down it goes up and down but not simultaneously but with a delay

The Cube possibilities: Hell, Purgatory, Metaphor of modern society and our corrupt institutions (Hell repeat) - Man is the real evil, High School, My Tuesdays, A Food Processor, Watching Star Trek Picard and Rings of Power-This time there is no escape, Our minds, Future simulation prison of our AI overlords at war with our future human super intelligence, Metaphor of Hollywood/Corporate America, Metaphor of me getting out of bed, process of making movies, a movie. Or aliens.

I think its a alien/human project (aliens giving the government knowledge of test traps).
What's most likely is a hologram video game because I don't like the idea that a floating cube is possible in a modern context.

A series where David gets his easy life (and the beautiful girlfriend,) would sadly be too much like what Severance is doing.. but it would be great if the showrunners(of Severance) could get David on board for the next season.. or sometime in the future..

My problem with movie was that it was too much focused on Quentin. And actions Quentin did felt completely out of space. He lost all self preservation and acter illogical. Better option would have been that just 1 got out in time like in movie and rest were left in cube alive ..audience knowing that they would die there.

Not completely out of place. It is clear he had a violent past, and was a bit unhinged even before he snaps. So the cube breaks him mentally so it makes sense he did what he did

Why didn't (I'm assuming before I even watch the movie) you ask how can we remake our home or rooms into the cube setting? I wanna wake up after a nightmare in a nightmare like room like cube 1997. If someone knows how to get close to those strange wall hieroglyphics and connector doors please tell me.
