I’ve read her autobio and she acknowledges that she should have had acting lessons much earlier in her career. Her singing was so special it carried her through the Stage shows and those early movies, but when she had to tackle straight drama she wasn’t really up to it.

Julie has never done a sci-fi film, and perhaps this is because she isn't interested in the genre.
