About Us
Solving challenges is the very foundation of who we are. After all, in the beginning, our founder, sea captain Robert Fergusson, didn’t particularly care about paint. He just wanted to keep his ship intact. That’s why, when he noticed that an accidental splash of fish oil had stopped the relentless spread of corrosion on his rusty metal deck, he immediately recognized it for what it was: A valuable solution.
The same passion that drove the Captain to spend his next few years creating the rust-preventative paint. When we see a problem, we work diligently until we’ve perfected a solution - which has led to some of the cutting-edge, durable and innovative products.

Thanks for this. Recently bought a car with tan OEM mats that have some light stains where evidently someone cleaned them improperly and removed the color. Will try this process as I think it will make the color uniform and cover the stains.
Entertaining, Thanks. FYI I’ve seen tan floor mats at dollar stores.
you should do a test of the rustoleum fabric/vinyl paint vs rustoleum ultra cover paint (which is formulated to adhere well to plastics) on the carpet to see which covers better.... i think you will find the ultra cover does a better job due to the higher pigment content.... automotive upholstery is nothing more than woven plastic, as well as most modern upholstery/carpets/curtains in homes.... and try using a soft brush on it while it still wet to work it in and even it out...
Big fan of Rust-Oleum products. Painting carpet might be too much of a challenge since most are dyed. Cheers
Nice. What is the mat made of? I am wondering about a polyester mat.
Is there 1 type of spray can product that will do a cars door panel that has plastic and leather materials that will cover both ?
Helps if you use a hard bristle brush in between coats to drive the paint deeper
Exactly! It’s practically a requirement to brush paint into carpet to do it right. ✌️
Would have been better just soaking them in hot water and Clorox. I did. Came out awesome and I redyed them using rit
Omg thanks for this. I just bought the Arnolds in the beige and wanted to see the color. It looks like itll match my carpet i got some bleach stains on 😥lol and im about to move and i want my deposit back lol hopefully this fixes up the stains!
Hey I am doing exactly the same thing I'm moving and need to cover a bleach stain in 1 area &a dark stain from a whole bag of charcoal that broke open how did it work out 4 u
Why didn't you just buy a tan mat? It would have probably cost less than what you spent on paint. Check out a UA-cam video on spray painting. You are supposed to brush in the paint when covering carpet. Follow the directions on the back of the can.
buddyyyyyyyy, not the continuous sprayyyy stahhppppp. aahhhhh LOLLL
Is the carpet crunchy after painting?
Have you tried this on rubber car mats? Tan mats were discontinued for my car, and are like hen's teeth to find. The black mats I have, just do not look right.
Ur suppose to scrub it in there first coat…. Wtv they say to do don’t listen to everybody and there tricks try this for fabric… put a super heavy first coat and as u paint while it’s wet scrub it in with a medium nylon brush…. Let that tac up then do a light coat to even out as much as u can… then another good heavy coat and as u paint lay it even throughout and u should be good… don’t need 3-4 coats to do it like this because u will need 2 cans per seat maybe even 5 cans for the 2 front seats together
trick is to have just hair damp very light coats then brush with scrub brush between coats it will cover all and not have that caked on paint feel
Great tip, Rodder Files!
Dont encourage him.
How bad is the smell of paint?
u should look into basic can spraying technique, very simple thing. u dont wanna hold the spray like that... gets build up.
also lets u rattle the can to mix it up between sprays
U should have used primer prior.
Not a fair comparison to do multiple coats more of one than the other. Also guy, doing from black to anything is a ridiculous comparison.
Try rit dye
Really Mr Panda. Nobody paints floor mats. Step up your game. Give us a seat or seat cover at the least. Maybe try a door panel.
芝生が可哀想
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
What a Bozo! Mistake number 1 you don't have a controlled environment. Outdoors? Really? 8 to 10-inch spray pattern not observed, this is so wrong.
Waste of time
Good subject matter...that stuff is gonna make a stuff feel on synthetic fabrics.
But - Mr ummm...panda, respectfully-please ask an uncle, friend or watch a UA-cam video if you have no one...to learn HOW to use spray paint...first. omg. You apply it like you should spray mosquito repellent on a friend's arms on a campout. Doing tutirials on youtube? Come on.
