I'm Australian and I usually switch over between watching Nfl and Afl, it's great because the Nfl season starts and finishes in the Afl's off season so they don't overlap each other.
Collingwood showed us something in this game which we didn’t really think they could do, they won by more than a goal and they played all 4 quarters to the fullest, they look like a really scary team to play against if they are going to play like that every game.
I'm form México and I'm glad for stay awake until 4am to see this, this is my first complete AFL season, this sport is simply awesome, the action, the dynamics, the crowd ambient, is much better than soccer What a comeback of Collingwood, this hardly can see in another sports
As an American fan of the AFL, I’m pretty dang proud of Mason Cox. It’s not an easy game to get really good at when you don’t grow up playing it. (Or even when you do.) He’s kept at it and is starting to have an impact at the highest level.
I'm a rugby union and league supporter, my partner is a true collingwood supporter and she was proud of last night's win. I'm starting to enjoy watching afl and I like watching the Collingwood team like the same colours as the mighty All Blacks 😊

Fair play though. But Geelong will get another shot at Collingwood in Round 21. By then I hope both the Pies and the Cats go at it to determine who finishes Top Seed. I rate Geelong highly like last year. But I placed them as the Second Seed this year. Then again, plenty of footy to play before the real business clicks into gear.
Yeah was a great game could of gone either way but collingwood had the legs at the end it would of been a fantastic grand final last year in the pies played the cats

Massive credit to the Pies! They worked so much harder than the Cats did and ultimately overwhelmed us in the end. They have a game style that stacks up. Going to be right up there once again this year
I think both teams will be near the top by end of season. Geelong weren't fit enough, and had a few crucial injuries which increased the load on the team. It's the last 14 rounds which really count, and that is what Geelong focuses on with regard to peak fitness. Congrats to the Pies for their tenacity and endurance. They'll find it harder next go vs the Cats. Also, best wishes to Jeremy Howe, hope he has a speedy recovery and will continue to provide fans with brilliant high flying marks.

What a result and performance - beating the reigning Premiers to start the year! This team has so much spirit and character and are a joy to watch. It may only be Round 1 but I can say with confidence the Pies are contenders in 2023.
Too many teams have been over hyped this pre season whereas Collingwood have again been underestimated by many, even after round 1 it’s plainly evident. I’m not sure why, their very best is close to unstoppable and i actually think they will be even better this year than last, Geelong looked slow and bamboozled last night. Long long way to go though

Such an exciting game. What a comeback from Collingwood. They're better than last year. Pendles was outstanding!! So too the Daicos bros, and the defenders. Tom Mitchell & Bobby Hill brilliant in their debuts, Reef McInnes was magnificent when he came on. The only downer was Howe's nasty injury. The way the Pies play fearlessly, and the way they push forward and the angles they get, is so entertaining. Crowd was electric. What a game for Round 1. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Credit to Pies, a deserved win. As a life long Cats fan I'm hoping they can learn something from that loss. The Cats were three goals ahead several times yet poor mid field defense and a couple of errors caused by panic let them down. Both teams will be hard to beat this season.

The surface was to blame for the injuries, but no-one ever said it was the reason for the loss. You've made that distinction yourself. Going to be difficult for Geelong in the coming weeks as they already had half their premiership backline out injured and now they've lost Stewart (AA) and potentially De Koning too.

How the hell could any adult think this works better? They seem to be confused about what platform this is and who watches these videos. These titles are targeted towards TikTok children.
