By far one of the best builds I’ve seen Paul, including some of those Brazilians, who appear to be more concerned with bling than zing. Quality parts, attention to detail, really nice. I’m wondering now if I shouldn’t have gone with cr250r forks myself instead of the 150r forks I installed.

I have a 230f that I didn’t plan to upgrade 😂.
150R forks, racetech revalue , Works remote shock, Scott’s triple clamp with under bar stabilizer. Engines only high comp piston, Engines Only cam and valve springs. Engines only exhaust.
You should try the Engines only exhaust system, Frank Nye is THE guru on these air cooled engines. The RPM range that these engines operate really benefit from a megaphone type exhaust system. No other company offers them ..l to quote Frank.. because they are a pain in the ass to mfg compared to a simple round or oval exhaust box.
They are super trap style disc exhausts, can add or remove disks to change low end vs high end power. The disks really do make a difference.

Very nice. I did a similar build but with off road focus, not motocross. Mine has XR400 forks, Racing Bros shock, rear disc conversion, aftermarket wheels, Athena big bore with Web cam, and so much more. The thing rocks and is so much fun on the trails.
Did the forks fit easy. Or did you have to work to get them to fit?

There's a guy over in the ThumperTalk forum who's like 75 years old who promotes the use of XR400 forks. He hates USD forks and points newbies to the heavy weak XR400 forks religiously.... I believe his name is Baja Trail Rider.... beware.
