Both NAS and cloud storage have their pros and cons. Your choice should depend on the scale of your business, technical requirements, and how many staff resources you are going to invest. NAS is a good option for small- and medium-sized businesses looking for data storage.

Moved to Sync earlier this year, after being a paid Dropbox customer since 2008.
You can get 3tb drives from seagate for 39 or (13/tb).

You could easily buy a raspberry 3 or so and a few harddrives and USB sata adapters.
I've used pCloud for over 4 years now. My house burned down in 2021 and I was able to recover and access my data with no issue, thank god. I know other UA-camrs say NAS is better and place it in a "fire-proof safe," but when you experience a loss like a fire, you are so traumatized and trying to re-establish your family and life, dealing with a bulky NAS versus accessing a cloud storage app? There is no comparison, IMHO.
For businesses it's amazing, EC2, S3, IAM, all their services are top notch.

Rclone + the cloud storage of your choice with of course encrypted data. After that you mount your cloud storage as a drive on windows , mac or Linux
We are a Mac house and leveraging iCloud is mainly from a convenience viewpoint.
I use Onedrive mainly for backing up and syncing my Mac(s).
What this tells me is that there is a need for a better cloud storage system than what is currently being offered.

In Dropbox, let's say I'm editing a 500MB PowerPoint presentation and if I edit and save the file on the bits I changed are uploaded.
Great video. In my opinion all these options are over complicated bloatware.
400€ for 4tb with nas, I spent 245+245€ on 2 separate purchases on Pcloud to get the same 4tb, a total of 490€ quite close to be honest.
The only thing I miss from cloud storage is instaling programs or even games and executing them from there. Internet speed is a LOT faster than most HDD or USB conections so they should allow me to do this 😭

All these clouds are centralized, it would be great if you do a review with the best-decentralized cloud storage.

I find it a messy schemozzle by comparison except in dealing with iPhone backups.
Great video. Biggest downside to pCloud is that there is NO integration with NAS, especially Synology that I have. pCloud only offer WebDAV, which has not been good for download/sync. If you have a better solution than WebDAV for Synology and pCloud, please say.
One big problem with Google drive is that its very slow to start as it verifies all files at startup.
And if you are using two computers Dropbox has LAN sync which automatically downloads the edited file to the other computer!

It’s just some theoretical protection for peace of mind and to follow GDPR related legal requirements.
In Google Drive it always reuploads the entire file, meaning a lot of internet data is gone.
I keep all the files I usually edit in Dropbox(free 16GB)and the rest on Google Drive.
Dropbox sync is much faster and file versions on Dropbox are not counted towards storage like Google drive.

If you edit a small part of an already uploaded file, Google Drive requires a full upload again.
I prefer Dropbox. I was user of Google drive but purchased Dropbox even though its expensive.😄

Pcloud is more expensive than at first glance. Encryption costs extra with all plans, including lifetime, and is limited to one folder. They also charge extra for other features. It's still one of the best and most cost effective cloud services, but be careful to check the hidden fees before deciding.

I had 500000 files in Google drive it always took 1 hr to verify and then it would start sync.
had to decide between icedrive and pcloud but chose pcloud because of crypto. no regrets
