Our dachshund here is what I refer to as my unofficial therapy dog. Even without the official role and training she knows how to help me and make me feel better. It's that most wonderful quality in dogs that they want things to be okay. They may not understand what's wrong, but they know when they are wrong and try their best to make things better.
