However, Wings went out on a high with the live version of Coming up hitting number one in the U.S. A great way to end, I guess.
Denny Laine was not with Wings because he was a nice guy. He had a lot to do with McCartney's solo career and its wild success. He was a great arranger and knew production and was a good musician. He did not need the limelight and was cool with laying back. Paul McCartney could have had a better musical partner for his solo career. Paul never found another Denny and even Eric Stewart of 10cc didn't last beyond a few records with PM. Denny was a real boost for Paul's solo career and a needle in a haystack musical sidekick.

Denny ..years. later in Sydney Australia I bought Ahhh Laine .... Next year i will be 80.. Yes. Steve Jordan on drums. Jordan was the original drummer for the World's Most Dangerous Band on Late Night with Letterman, so it was a reunion of Lee and Jordan.
