You sir never need to worry about content, I could sit and watch you rehoming every single tarantula you own! You make Mondays better, I am looking forward to seeing more of the babies! ❤️
Watching your videos has made me feel more comfortable around spiders. I catch any in my house with a cup and release outside. Love your channel! Thank you Sir!
Petko! I found out when one of the legs from the molt is broken its a good idea(from my experience) to roll a paper towel and put it halfway in the spot where the leg was and its easier to glue the leg cause you just have to put the glue on the paper and put the leg pieces together like puzzles. Hope I helped!
That’s it. I’ve been watching all of your videos from the very first one until this video (whilst also keeping up with the newer vids). This vid made me enquire about getting my first ever spider - Phidippus regius. And it’s seriously all your fault! Three months of UA-cam has cured 30 years of arachnophobia- serious arachnophobia, not spiders creep me out I mean full on jump out a moving car to get away from a spider arachnophobia. Well played you sneaky b*stard!
I know I'm a little late for the "notification squad" hype, but I still feel the need to post this comment, whether it gets buried or not. Before I found your channel a few years back, I was mildly afraid of larger spiders. Being from Canada, we obviously dont have anything that can actually cause any real damage, so my only experience with tarantulas was in science picture books. That being said, this channel has helped me to not only be less squeamish around any smaller critters, but has also increased my confidence in being near the larger ones as well. I even got the chance to hold a tarantula recently and while I was nervous, I actually did it! Thank you for helping me in this way. Your videos continue to teach me new things and always make me smile! 😊
Even though I've been following you and Exotics for years, I still don't know the Latin names for T's. However, just wanted to say I agree with you Petko, the beauty with flashes of red is stunning!
I think my C. Versicolor is going to molt in the next few days. I'm excited to see if her colors change any. (She's still mostly blue at this point). As for the Aphonopelma bicoloratum that's sadly not even the longest I've heard of one being in pre-molt. My nieces A. chalcodes didn't eat for just over 2 years after she got it and then molted and started eating fine.
After have "locked" it self away in its burrow my T. albopilosum has now molted. Now Im waiting for it to take the molt out of the burrow since that usually meens its hungry and ready to eat.
I believe it’s now classified as Davus sp Panama, as for potential species names I think pyros or vulcanus would be good, in reference to them being called the lava spider
The mold is most likely from the Potting soil you mix in.... It is kinda inevitable with most potting soil mixes... It is normally "good mold" for the plants when they are growing... You should look into "Desert Potting Soil Mix"... these usually don't break out as much, you just need to make sure it can dry well enough, while the other stuff in the soil holds the Moisture. Compact it down as well. You could also add regular dirt and dirt clumps to the top layer, with the Sand for texture };p
I definitely choose the Auratum o er Hamiri or Smithi never see the Auratum. Live your content you rock one of the people whos videos helped me start in the Hobby.
Can you help me please. I have a theraphosa apophysis and she is 2 years old. About a month ago she completely sealed of her entrance so I can’t see her anymore. I understand that she might be going to mold but it has been over a month now. About 2 weeks ago I was afraid she might have died during molding so I checked by opening her entrance and she was very much alive. I closed it back up but 2 weeks later and stil nothing. When is checked is didn’t see a mold laying around. What should is do and how long can this take?
Quick question I have a Theraphosa stirmi it has sealed off its tunnel. I know she was in premolt. It’s been about 2 weeks. How long should I wait before I dig around. Hoping to be able to sex it this molt 🤞🏼
I have been trying to catch a zebra jumping spider in my garden to keep as my first spider but they are soooo fast. I don't want to injure them as they are so small. Any tips? 🕷️🕷️
I know you probably wont see this as I'm a tad late to comment I just wanted to ask if you gave any thought to Linda's death sad to think about I know I would just love to see a taxidermy video when she passes so we can keep appreciating her size and just her in general xxxxx
today I found SKAKUN wandering around my wardrobe ... I live in the Netherlands and I have no idea what kind of genre it could have been? was all brown
Petko i love seeing your trantulas. I miss being able to have them. I move to New Zealand and they don't have trantulas here. I will probably end up getting some native trapdoor spiders but its just not the same
Love the evolution of this channel I've been watching since the Dark Den was a shelf in Pekos living room
kinda miss them days lol
With each video, I get more and more tempted to get a tarantula! Love the videos man!
You sir never need to worry about content, I could sit and watch you rehoming every single tarantula you own! You make Mondays better, I am looking forward to seeing more of the babies! ❤️
I agree with this post :)

Yay happy Monday! Always look forward to dark den notifications

Last I looked, the lava dudes were reclassed to Davus panama and I want one SO BAD. Absolutely gorgeous 🧡
That Theraphosinae Panama (Panama lava or Pink Panama, I think?) is absolutely STUNNING! Incredible colours!
I agree with you Petko. Aratum is beautiful! And those babies are so cute! I like the way they look.
It's a Davus sp panama now. I have a sling and it's just moulted so so beautiful!!
The b. auratum is so beautiful, but the b. hamorii has a special place in my heart (just like the c. versicolor)!
For me I love my A chalcodes

Well played you sneaky b*stard!
What spider did you get? (if u got one)
Aww Linda has gotten so big! Thanks for all the updates!
Hi from Australia. Great to see another video from Dark Den. I love this channel.
Mumma is protecting her babies ❤❤❤❤
You always have such interesting stuff going on! Thanks for sharing!
The T. Panama or Lava spider, is freaking awesome 😍
Look at her she came right out to protect them babies ? What a mommy!
Best day Monday with The Dark Den still the best bro ;) and I remember that A. musculosa ;)
Hmm... from the right angle, the light on your table combined with the enclosures in the background looks like a flying tank to me :DDD
I know I'm a little late for the "notification squad" hype, but I still feel the need to post this comment, whether it gets buried or not.

I love the orange one 🫣
Another excellent video. Thank you Petko. How is Felix.
They are all beautiful, how can you chose between them ❤❤❤
OMG!!! It’s been forever!! What have you been up too
That’s an awesome tape measure. -Neal
Even though I've been following you and Exotics for years, I still don't know the Latin names for T's. However, just wanted to say I agree with you Petko, the beauty with flashes of red is stunning!
I think they all look so much better right after they moult .
Hello great video information rehouseing Petcko
i agree with you auratum if i had to pick out of the two.
Two smaller molts are male. The lava spider is now Davus sp. Panama. Those babies at that stage are called nymphs.
See you in Orlando Florida next weekend!
Aratum is one of my favorite tarantulas overall. I honestly don’t think there’s a tarantula that has brighter colors unless it’s shiny
Love my brachys I have an emilia and a hamorii right now but my real soft spot is for my aphonopelmas and more specifically my two chalcodes
On the Lava spider not fully classified but was moved into Davus genus so now it's identified as Davus sp panama
Very nice video as always! Actually, I prefer the B. Hamorii. When I first started to keep tarantulas, that was the one i was after the most!
The first male you put on top of the light source there appeared to be a smiley face 😊 lol
thanks for the video! My vote would be for the B. auratum as well!!

VERY NICE VIDEO, DARK DEN.
THANK YOU.
Good to see you . great job . videos are still varry interesting. Keep it up bro . long way from the dark den at home ? Lol bravo
Harpactira pulchripes one of my favorite tarantula
After have "locked" it self away in its burrow my T. albopilosum has now molted. Now Im waiting for it to take the molt out of the burrow since that usually meens its hungry and ready to eat.
Theraposinae sp. Panama now described as Davus genus, so it become Davus sp. Panama
Always happy to see your content.
I always like these update videos
I suggest springtails to control mold, if that's an option for you.
Always enjoy ur vids. Thank u 4 sharing.
Both the T's are beautiful Petko
Lovin the Dark Den vids!!!🕷💞💞🕷
I believe it’s now classified as Davus sp Panama, as for potential species names I think pyros or vulcanus would be good, in reference to them being called the lava spider
The Psalmopoeus sp. army is growing! Do you plan on getting any more wolf spiders?
You are correct on the name change for Theriphosinae sp. panama, they are now Davus sp. panama
Love the auratum colours but my favourite of the Brachypelma genus has to be the emilia 🤟🏼🤟🏼
Awesome as always!
Hey! Is it just me, or have the links to your merch been compromised?
Really enjoy your channel!
Much respect from Canada…✌
Hopefully a video on friday 😁

I checked out their website but I can’t find the tape measure, did they stop making them? I’d love to get one!
I definitely choose the Auratum o er Hamiri or Smithi never see the Auratum. Live your content you rock one of the people whos videos helped me start in the Hobby.
That's why I am reluctant to pair my Irminia lmao, so many babies when they lay a sac or 2
I’m so jealous of your Chilensis
Theraphosinae sp. Panama is actually Davus sp. Panama and most likely an undescribed species ;)
6:27 what kinda plastic container is that?
Sad that two of your small habitats have mold. What causes the mold to form? They are beautiful tarantulas!
Hi! ✌️😁 That's actually not mold that is a mushroom mycelium and it's an indication of good climate in the terra 😊🍄
Great update video
Auratum is best brachypelma for sure!
Very nice Video. 😊
Cool video thanks ❤
I definitally prefer the b. auratum over the b. hamorii but they are both pretty cool
You are truly a master tarantula breeder!
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I have a stupid question do tarantulas have good vision when you are staring at them
Can you help me please.
I have a theraphosa apophysis and she is 2 years old.
About a month ago she completely sealed of her entrance so I can’t see her anymore. I understand that she might be going to mold but it has been over a month now. What should is do and how long can this take?
Can't get enough of this channel, which is pretty amazing for a former arachnophobe!
How do you get them to juvenile stage I had 4 versicolour but 2 have perished but humidity ect have been ok proving difficult?
Are you going to be selling any of your junge nimps in Croatia?
Brachypelma auratum is my favourite Brachypelma. It is probably up there in my top 5 favourite spiders. Your female is Absolutely beautiful.
Hello how often Must i mist de enclosure of my brachypelma hamorii?
Quick question I have a Theraphosa stirmi it has sealed off its tunnel. I know she was in premolt. It’s been about 2 weeks. How long should I wait before I dig around. Hoping to be able to sex it this molt 🤞🏼
Never knew that tarantulas can suck the humidity out of their molts.
I have been trying to catch a zebra jumping spider in my garden to keep as my first spider but they are soooo fast. I don't want to injure them as they are so small. Any tips? 🕷️🕷️
Use a bottle big bottle
the sp.panama was theraphosiNae not Dae, and now it's been changed from Theraphosinae to Davus species, so it has become Davus sp. panama!
red > orange
Linda is HUGE!!!
I know you probably wont see this as I'm a tad late to comment I just wanted to ask if you gave any thought to Linda's death sad to think about I know I would just love to see a taxidermy video when she passes so we can keep appreciating her size and just her in general xxxxx
Where can i find the animal tape? I can't find rhe link
Interesting thank you
While I Was watching this video, a spider crawled across me (probably a little smaller then a quarter in size) and I SCREAMED!!!!
today I found SKAKUN wandering around my wardrobe ... I live in the Netherlands and I have no idea what kind of genre it could have been? was all brown
Auratum is my favourite
Post more 🕸🕸🕸 I’ll watch them all.
Petko i love seeing your trantulas. I miss being able to have them. I move to New Zealand and they don't have trantulas here. I will probably end up getting some native trapdoor spiders but its just not the same
What is up with the Lada Niva?
Her babies at this stage look almost tick-like when ticks are full of blood also with their blue/grey colouring
I think I like the red better, than the orange.
The Theraphosinae sp Panama is now Davus sp Panama
handling that T Strimi molt with bare hands? are you crazy petko? i get itchy just watching that. they're something else....
Aw, the link for the chameleon tape measure is broken D:
B. Auratum for the win.
Panama looks like the TVersion of Darth Maul
