After watching the piano version, we know why her producer chose her as the lead singer and why fans are always proud of her. Many fans believe: "Even if she hadn't been tricked by producers into the metal world to become the queen of metal, she would have been the queen of pop.". Her acapella is the best without any instrument.

Su's extended, straight and glazed voice has a strong addictive quality.
I felt exactly the same when I heard this for the first time. Of course I knew Su was good, yet I was surprised to hear how good she really is. It does make one wonder how much of her voice does get lost in the Metal sound wall.
Even now, after having heard the song dozens of times, It still moves me to tears every single time. It’s amazing.
The full Metal version is quite different, as you can imagine, but it’s also a fantastic song in its own right.
Have you seen the video of people sitting outside of one of the venues either in Asia or Australia when Su was doing he sound check and singing RoR with acapella? If you haven't, you need to, it was sublime and astonishing how good she is at keeping perfect pitch and tone for a song even without instrumentation behind her. She and Lady Gaga have the two best voices of any mainstream female vocalists I've heard in easily 25 years or more, if not ever.

It's been a while, you really get us waiting for you but I'm glad to see you're back with this song, hopefully you'll come back and share the live version at Makuhari Messe 2023 of this beautiful song, or just the official lyrics will be fine if you got trouble finding that.
BM fans already know this type of unique acoustic version like Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at Legend 1997 or "The One - Stairway To Living Legend", so we're used to this SuMetal's vocals power to reach and melting our hearts, she's 25 but like i said she's been doing this since being a toddler.
Also fans at Sabaton's Europe Tour as well Asian/Australian Tour and more recently Summer Sonic Festival, were enjoying the original version of this song at every show and having a magical moment.
The three white figures dressed in white are probably a reference to old BM era when YuiMetal was still part of the group or maybe a reference to the new young BM unit they previously performed along with them and are part of this new metalverse project, they already debut at Summer Sonic Festival opening the festival with a set of new three songs exclusive for them. Yes there is a metal version of 'Monochrome' with an official lyric video and it is great - but the live performances are where this song really hits hardest. You already have links in the comments.

Su always had a unique and incredible voice, which is why Kobametal picked her as the front girl/woman for Babymetal., since she was able to overcome a metal bands music. Su even got better with the years and she can express her emotions better than ever before.
There is a "normal" version on the concept album "The Other One" but I recommend checking out a live version (either "Babymetal Returns" from January this year or "Babymetal Begins" from April are amazing and available on YT).
The start touring the US at the end of the month and will return to the UK and Europe in November, so grab your ticket while you can :D
The original (i.e. metal) version of Monochrome is a banger. It is hard to believe that this stripped-down rendition was able to top the metal version but yeh, Su just totally kicked ass here. Anyhow, I'd put the original Monochrome in my top 3 songs from their last album (Metalizm and Mirror, Mirror are the other two..well Believing could crack the top 3 too)
I dislike the word "best" in reference to music but Su is one of the best frontpeople in music history. She's incredible.

There's a more up to date live performance that is even better and no lyric video segments.
Monochrome is my favorite song from the last album (concept album). Then you can watch the live version of this song at Makuhari or PIA Arena. After that you can also see the tour version for this song in Jakarta. The crowd sang along and it was beautiful and SU-Metal confirmed that she was very impressed with the Jakarta crowd during an interview with Billboard Japan. There are two further (very different) versions of Monochrome. The studio track which has a lyric video and the live version. There is no official live version on UA-cam but there a number of very good compilations.
You should also react to BABYMETAL's new single METALI!! It's a great song and super fun MV. It's already a fan favourite and was only released a week ago!

Now the girls proved that they can do anything. They have forced people to headbang with their heavy music and sharp choreo. Now they can depict various images by just singing and project them into the listeners' brain to move people emotionally. Thank you BABYMETAL. And thank you Koba, the BM producer, for your serendipity. Some 13 years ago, you certainly discovered something amazing and sacred for us.
Speaking of the three figures in white hood adding some background vocals, they are certainly homage to BM's girlhood with original three girls.
This version is just so, so good! Su's voice is incredible during their songs normally, but she really shows exactly how good she is as a vocalist here. As others have said, there is definitely a metal version on their new album and you should check it out.

This is a throwback to Suzuka singing at Acting School of Hiroshima from about 9 to 13 years old.
Yes there is a metal version it's fantastic. Speaking of the one take.. Clint Eastwood shot everything in one take as a director. As an actor himself he didn't listen to actors complaining about it. He's an underrated director his list of films is as good as any director.

I first saw Sui before she was in Babymetal on an episode of either The Voice or America Got Talent. She stole the show at a very early age doing an entrancing pop tune. I'm sure you can find it on UA-cam. So when she showed in Babymetal I couldn't believe my eyes. She was always meant to be a star. Now she is the biggest in the hybrid rock world. And well deserved. But this not to disparaged the two other girls. They may sing backup but when given the chance they hold their own as well as Sui. You best believe.
And, yes, the metal version of Monochrome is the first version. Check it out.

This is from 2023 after Momoko was named 3rd member. In this video Momoko is mic'd up.
SU's singing penetrates even the soundproof walls that block the sound of the band. It is said that BABYMETAL was formed because KOBA thought that this voice would not be defeated by the sound of metal.
Monochrome has an official music video. It is also always performed at recent live shows. All three have their own characteristics and are great.
I believe the three white-clad people are SU, MOA and YUI. After this, MOMO, who had been supporting BM for a long time, took YUI's position, which had been vacant for a long time.

Well, obviously you have not listened to Babymetal's newest album, 'The Other One'. :) You will find the normal version of Monochrome there. I think you should watch the video first then definitely watch a live version such as 'Clear Night'.

There are several versions of Monochrome out there, but I think the recently released "Clear Nite" version stands alone. During an interlude, to a sea of cell phone lights ("looks like stars"), Su motions Momo over to her and Moa for a group hug, sort of an unofficial welcoming to Momoko as the third member. All is well in the BabyMeral universe, or should I say Metalverse.

Metal genre has kept the tradition of true singing alive. If one is going to be a clean metal singer, the ability to deliver has to be developed and there have to be the guts to try and sing a cover
of well established band for starters.

The album version is more metal than this one, but with stripped down instrumentation Su's strong voice is even more prominent. I will not argue with those who love this performance. So do I. But as always with Babymetal, most of the times live footage is best. Besides, the choreo is gorgeous! The crowd in Djakarta on May 25 this year was unbelievable, so I would encourage you to check that concert out.
