Totally agree with being in the outdoors. I love being out in my garden, taking walks and seeing the trees and flowers blooming, the fresh air, people with their pets, just loving God and His presence, and smiling. Wow, and I just ordered that book The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry!
So most of your advise was tilted towards young up and coming ministers and I totally get that, but I’m not a young man and because that kinda in an odd sort. I’m 55 to be exact and we have felt called to ministry of a sort for the last few years. What advice would you give and guy and his young wife who are being lead into ministry? We are both enrolled in Bible college and doing what we believe are to do while we wait for our door to open. I’d appreciate any input or books you’d suggest, thank you and God bless!
I just happen to find this this morning but I want to encourage you and your wife to hang in there and continue to do what you are doing...what I feel that you have as a strength is your maturity of just living life. To be overlooked may happen in some places but I believe that it will not always happen and when you just obey God;s leading and let God show you the way in spite of men's judgements Do not let this get in the way of the call God has on your lives God bless and protect this couple and stay close to them when they might be overwhelmed by age issues ...give them strength to continue on.
I love this interview, great points, and yes Larry Lea came to our church in the 80s and we went through the prayer teaching, still have his books.
