It's weird when you're mad at your mother for very good reasons and she's left but you miss her immensely. Never sure how to feel.
It's because it's how humans work, we all need and deserve a good parent or two to support us and to help raise a wonderful child so that child can be the light of the future

My mother tortured me for 15 years, water boarding, forcing me to take drugs, beatings with a metal pipe or similar. I was on the brink of death when i was finally saved. If you have a good mother, hell even a decent one thats trying, love them, it could be so much worse, and in the end you are alone. Love your mothers for they are deserving. I will morn the loss of one that i never had.

I'm so sorry you went through that... That's awful.
I know that most mothers are just trying their best, but it's very sad to hear things like this. The person who brings you into the world or is supposed to be someone you can depend on to raise and protect you treating you like that is deeply sad.
I know it could be worse, but I just don't want to make your experience the example of that if that makes sense. I hope you found someone who is able to give you even a fraction of what you deserved. Appreciate the imperfect people who do make efforts to show they care in your life is the lesson I take from this.

I failed my mom, I feel so bad for her, not only does she have to put up with my dad but she also now has to put up with her failure of a son, I'm not even a real son, I'm no real boy... She wanted a son so bad and she got stuck with me, a pretend boy, why couldn't I have been born a man, why wasn't I made normal, I let my own mental health get in the way of college and now we are all suffering because I'm a failure of a barely son...
you are a son. you are the man she needs in her life. you will prove your father wrong, and you will make your mother proud. believe in yourself. there are more things to life than college grades. be there for your mother, tell her how you’re proud to be her son. because you, my friend, are one of the many shining stars in the sky
