"Give it up for shineeeeeee" This song will forever be iconic , 12 years later and this is still a undeniable bop !! SM groups are truly legendary , they made the kpop journey thrilling and exciting cus they've been carrying the Industry since 1995!!
I don't see it in the comments yet, but Sherlock is actually the combination of two songs, Clue and Note, that's why the MV title is stylized that way.
Fun fact, this choreo was also choreographed by Michael Jackson’s choreographer Tony Testa! And was also the most expensive choreo SM ent. has paid for!
Please note SHINee is not an R&B group, they are contemporary group and they have a lot experimental in their music, next you should check 'Dream Girl' and 'Why So Serious'
You may have noticed that "Sherlock" felt like you were listening to more than one song because it's a special song that combines 2 songs from SHINee's album "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of this MV is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album, you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." So, in the MV you hear the mashup of the two songs. Therefore, if you watch a live performance of "Sherlock (Clue & Note)", Minho's whisper part in their live performance is different than what you heard in the MV because when they perform it live, they chose different parts of "Clue" and "Note" to create "Sherlock" each time. When it comes to SHInee every performance is very unique, which is one reason why SHINee's concerts are considered one of the best. No matter how many times you have heard a song or seen them perform, you will never get the same thing twice. In SHINee's "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" MV the boys are Sherlock-like detectives who are looking for clues among the archives and displays in an old museum. The "ghost" girl -- who is played by Jessica Jung, the former member of Girls' Generation -- is helping SHINee solve a mystery by leaving them clues. At the end they realize that the girl they have been seeing and chasing after all day is actually the girl that was originally involved in the mystery when they find an article talking about her from 1910 and they discover that they must have been seeing a ghost. The room where they have their dance breaks is the main hall of the museum, like a large ballroom in a mansion or great hall, etc. And the compass rose star in the middle of the floor I interpret to represent SHINee who are known as shining stars and it's a symbol for how they are navigating the globe as they reach fans all over the world. In this song and MV SHINee are supposed to be detectives, so the choreography has been designed to give them Sherlock-like poses and to show them investigating clues, and taking photos, etc. That is why they do that Sherlock Holmes-style exaggerated march, and why you see them kneel down and draw a line on the floor, and why they hold their hands out like they are snapping a photo, and they have that move that looks like they are brushing dust from their sleeves, etc. Yes, the brand name on the computer was iWatson. Like Sherlock Holmes' sidekick Watson. The computer helped SHINee solve the mystery. SHINee was actually starting a fashion trend at that time. The group is known for being one step ahead when it comes to fashion because they are the ones that start the trends in Korea that eventually influence fashion trends around the world. Fashion designers actually covet a chance to work with SHINee, or any of the members individually for that matter, because they know that if they can get SHINee to wear their clothes that they will become super popular. And, yes, this was the era of Taemin with long hair. Although, in the MV, Taemin's really long hair was a wig. He only has long straight hair during the dance breaks, but during the story sections his hair is much shorter and kind of curly. (He had to go back and forth between long and short hair for the MV shoot so it was easier for them to use a wig, but later on for promotions he had hair extensions.) However, he really did grow his hair long for a while during "Lucifer" area in 2010. Taemin with long hair is one of his most iconic looks. I didn't really like his wig look, but Taemin with naturally long hair/hair extensions during Sherlock era is one of my favorites. (He is actually known for making girls jealous because his hair is so perfect.) Many people thing that Taemin with long hair made him look pretty like a girl, but I actually think it's kind of a masculine look on him. Taemin's hairstyle also made him one of the most popular of the members with their Japanese fans. This was the era when SHINee really started to solidify themselves as Japanese artists, so Taemin's look had Japanese fans gravitating to them. (SHINee debuted in Japan in 2011 and now they are considered one of the most popular artists in Japan as well.) "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" came out in 2012 -- 4 years after their debut with "Replay." So Taemin is now 18 in this MV. Onew is 22, Jonghyun is 21 and Key and Minho are 20. The choreography for "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" was created by Tony Testa a very well-known "Hollywood"-famous American choreographer who has also worked with some of the most famous artists, productions and dancers in the world, including Michael Jackson. "Sherlock" was the first time SM (or pretty much anyone in the Kpop industry) had ever used a famous choreographer, and at the time, it was the most expensive Kpop production ever. Once again, SHINee were trendsetters and, because of SHINee's skill level, SM became the first to see the value in using a well-known choreographer to help create their dances and to strive for a level of choreography and video production that surpassed anything that had ever been done before. (Now, SHINee -- and numerous SM groups -- have worked with Tony Testa multiple times over the years.) Today it's common place for Kpop companies to have really famous in-house choreographers, and to seek out people in the industry who are really making a name for themselves to choreograph for them, but SHINee was one of the first. If you want to see the choreography even better, you should check out SHINee's "Sherlock" dance practice video, or better yet, one of their live concert performances of "Sherlock (Clue & Note)." I recommend their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul performance from 2015, ua-cam.com/video/M4pINahBoRY/v-deo.html. If you think the MV is good, just wait until you see them perform it live. "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" live is on a whole other level.
i hope you guys can watch their live concert performance like -ring ding dong and lucifer swc5 -excuse me miss -replay(debut stage and concert) -sherlock -stranger -view -everybody also some of their ballad like -selene 6.23 -please dont go (onew and jonghyun duet) -an encore their performance are one of the best and most idols have shinee as their role models also hope you can react to their guide thank youuu❤
Saw SHINee and clicked right away. SHINee is the Princes of Kpop. Hope you can also react to their live performances because they are known for singing live. Also, SHINee guide when? Please do the recent one, the one that was long. Thank you 💎
I love that you are finally diving into SHINee and I love that queen Replay is your standard. But much like when I started getting to know their discography, bear in mind that SHINee music is not a certain genre. Sure, R&B is their roots but over the years they have SHINee-fied any genre or concept for each comeback: house, EDM, hiphop, rock. I'm just sat here waiting for the a capella album if they ever decide to do one. :)
Okayy the girl's name is Jessica and she was part of the girl group girls generation but she's not anymore, please research for more songs by SHINee, they are the best. They used to be five but unfortunately Jonhyun died due to suicide but we all here continue to support SHINEE, it was recently their 16th aniverssary of their debut🥺
I'm so happy to see that this channel really reacts to Shinee and her music, many channels use Shinee as a keychain to gain views, it's good to see a channel that is really interested in them and their music
If you want more RnB SHINee you must check out Love Like Oxygen and Juliette next. I think those songs will really suit your taste and give you that classic SHINee sound and nostalgia you're looking for
Just for your information, SHINee doesn't repeat a genre or concept for their title tracks, so if you're looking for the "Replay" sound, you will not get it again. You will get a new sound, genre and concept everytime you react to a SHINee MV
This is the very first hybrid song in Kpop. SHINee merged two of their singles, "Clue" and "Note", to make this mega-hit, "Sherlock". The live version of this song they performed at their SWC IV concert added a new bridge which only enhanced it. "Sherlock" remains a fan favorite and has withstood the test of time. SHINee debuted four years prior to EXO and six years prior to NCT. In fact, they mentored both these groups. This is probably why you think SHINee sounds like EXO or NCT. We SHAWOLs hear this many times, especially when a new SHINee track comes out. We will always hear someone new to SHINee saying they copied some newer group. We understand that no, this is not new to SHINee, they didn't copy anyone. Rather, they are the ones who probably introduced the sound to the rest of Kpop, just like they were the first group to introduce Dubstep and Deep House to Kpop. Ironically, the next hybrid song to be produced in Kpop would be in 2020 -- a group in which Taemin has a lot of input and who mentors several of the members. You can hear what Ten, Mark, Taeyong, and Baekhyun say about Taemin in the excellent mini-doc, "The Artist: Taemin" on YT. Prior to SHINee's debut, there was a lot of shuffling on what type of music they would produce. First they were supposed to be a hip-hop group (they can now all rap). However, when Lee Soo Man heard them sing, that went right out the window. Second, they were supposed to debut as an R&B group. It was when the powers that be understood that SHINee could sing whatever they threw at the group, they decided on billing them as a "contemporary" group. Added to that, the SHINee brothers themselves loved to be experimental. Ultimately they became one of two SM experimental groups: SHINee and their sister group, f/x. As experimental groups, they were not supposed to last. SHINee is now on their 17th year and have no intentions of quitting anytime soon. At this point, SHINee has tried just about every genre known to music. In fact, they have mentioned that they are struggling to find new genres to try. That's quite an admission when you think about how so many groups in Kpop are stuck in one specific genre of music. Despite the narrowing field of music they can try, no matter what they produce, SHINee still maintains their signature sound throughout their music, whether it's R&B, ballads, musical theater, Rock, Boom-Bap, Jazz, and even Opera (thanks, Onew). I hope you keep exploring SHINee's vast discography, as well as their individual solo work. Thanks for the reaction.
Don't expect anything from SHINee - they're contemporary & quite happy to experiment. Always raising the bar higher since debut. Same with solos & live performances. Cmon just dive headfirst down the rabbit hole 😂😂😂😂😂

Better for your reaction group to react to SHINEE's music in CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER, rather than based on random recommendations from various comments. Observing SHINEE's evolution through the years will make you appreciate them and their body of work in the most effective way.
I recommend checking out the concert version Sherlock for its ultimate form 🤩 ua-cam.com/video/M4pINahBoRY/v-deo.htmlsi=B5nNAtYT-qJeg5mE Yes, Replay is the best debut song and does set the bar high but SHINee is "the* experimental group in SM so you won't get the same genre from any of their title tracks 😅

arguably the most iconic intro in kpop history “SHINee’s back!” 💎
"Give it up for shineeeeeee" This song will forever be iconic , 12 years later and this is still a undeniable bop !! SM groups are truly legendary , they made the kpop journey thrilling and exciting cus they've been carrying the Industry since 1995!!

omg shinee is sooo ICONIC everyone in the k pop industry knows this song!!!! shineee is backkkkk

SHINee is not about R&B, they experiment with a lot of sounds and are not afraid to introduce music that nobody is doing in kpop.
