we also remember his songs, since he is a very talented writer, composer and producer, the first soloist with self written and self composed albums in SM, who also wrote for other artists 🙌
You see SM legendary idols who set bar too high for all juniors, but in SM all juniors try to maintain that dignity and always try to reach their seniors level. These idols are the strong Pillars of KPOP.
Actually it's the older gen groups that slowly introduced kpop to the world and it won't change and u know sm junior artist vocal are still top tier compared to some other groups
NOONA NEOMU YEPPEOOOOO, surely the most iconic debut song ever, i love that you guys are giving a chance to older generations, all generations in kpop are amazing

Awww I feel this with 3rd gen. I grew up with it in middle school and now I’m in my young adults years. I love second gen groups and music, what a great time for K-pop! 🫶🏻
This is the best Kpop Debut song of all time. SHINee at that time were between 14-18yrs old and they have known to become The "Princes of Kpop". Thank you for reacting to them and I hope you will do more reactions to their songs especially their live performances because they are also known for having the best concerts and live performances for 16yrs now. From their older songs title track I recommend View and for the newer ones I recommend Don't Call Me. BTw, all of the members have their own solo albums too which are totally different from one another but somehow still connected to their roots. More SHINee reactions, please. Thank you!

Greatest of all time and it's not even close. They changed the industry, 5 powerful soloist with incredible brotherly love for one another that make for an unmatched team. Known for their incredible live vocals and performances, and this most iconic debut song in all of kpop that is still covered by every boy group that debuts to this day. There's a reason they're called "Your idols idol". Love them so much. PS, their discography including solos and japanese tracks is over 600 songs and covers almost every genre imaginable. They're really just the best boys ever.
The chorus line where they're saying *noona neomu yeppo* basically means older sister, you're so pretty. Noona is referred by guys to girls who are older than them. Literally a national anthem for younger guys who like girls older than them.
THE debut song that I can’t get tired of listening to until now. So good to see reactors reacting to SHINee’s songs.. Actually I will be happy with reactors react to any 2nd Gen Kpop group. Since I like almost all of them. The industry was not as saturated with so many groups like today. I barely can catch up with all the new groups coming up daily.
SHINee's "Replay," which came out May 25, 2008, is literally considered one of the best debut songs of all time for any Kpop artist because it's so timeless and it never goes out of style or sounds outdated no matter how old it gets. And this is why SHINee are Icons. This song actually came out almost 16 years ago, however, SM Entertainment rebranded itself and started its new UA-cam channel in 2011. The company reuploaded most of their older videos at that time. So, all their older MVs and content have a 2011 or newer date, but could be much older than that. You're lucky you are watching this MV after SM remastered it, because now it has English subtitles. Because, as I think you know, usually any of SM's videos that came out before 2018 don't have subs in the official video. "Replay" isn't just nostalgic, it's legendary. And SHINee are legends. Every new rookie group in the industry has covered "Replay" at least once in their career and it's one of those songs that is pretty much compulsory for everyone to know and learn, even still today. And, yes, of course SHINee can sing. As an SM group, you shouldn't expect any less. You can't be SM artists without having amazing vocal abilities. Even SM's rappers get intense vocal training. That is why SM is considered the vocal powerhouse of the industry, because ALL of its artists have out-of-this-world vocal abilities. And not only are all the members of SHINee amazing singers, but they are the original vocal kings. EXO now may be considered "the vocal kings of Kpop", but SHINee were the ones that showed the industry what it meant to be vocalists. From day one, Onew and Jonghyun have been two of the top vocalists in the entire industry, and SHINee as a group make up one of the best vocal groups of all time. Onew is the one in the hat, Jonghyun is the one with the headphones, Key is the one in green, Minho is the one playing basketball (he is always the tallest member) and Taemin is the one in yellow. Onew (the leader and lead vocalist) was 18, Jonghyun (the main vocalist and a songwriter) had just turned 18, Minho (the main rapper and sub-vocalist) and Key (lead vocalist and sub-rapper) were 16 and Taemin (Main dancer and lead vocalist) was 14. However, now SHINee are known for the fact that there are no longer any fixed roles in their group. The main vocalists can rap, the rappers can fill in as main vocalists and they're all impressive dancers. SHINee are some of the most well-respected artists in the industry. The Noona (the older girl SHINee have a crush on that they are singing to) in the "Replay" MV is the leader of their sister group***, Victoria from F(x). This MV came out more than a year before F(X) debuted, so this was Victoria even before debut. (Funny thing is, Victoria is native Chinese and she says she was still learning Korean during this time and she could barely even say SHINee.) Victoria was so perfect in this role because she is a few years older than any of the SHINee members so she fit well as the lead actress in this MV. As the song says, 'Noona neomu yeppeo .... replay, replay, replay ...." In other words, they are saying "pretty older woman I really like you and I think you like me too ... every time I see you, I need a replay of the moment over and over again in my head." Noona neomu yeppeo is a Korean term that essentially means "Pretty older woman" Noona neomu yeppeo is a term that is only used by guys to describe a beautiful woman that is older than them. There really isn't a literal translation of the term, so that is why the song is called "Replay" in English. But in Korean it is called "Noona neomu yeppeo." That's why if you watch SHINee on a lot of variety shows and TV programs, the older women in the show often ask SHINee to sing this song to them, even still today. This song makes all the women swoon. (Even 15 years later, when Taemin recently appeared on The Manager reality show, the female hosts of the show asked him to sing "Replay" to them.) ***SHINee and F(x) are both SM Entertainment groups, they debuted within a year of each other, they both are 5 member groups (Now 4 member groups ;( ) and they have similar music styles and concepts, etc. F(x) is pretty much the female version of SHINee. SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups. They are always setting trends, never following them. SHINee were designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song SHINee produces it's supposed to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from them in any of their songs, even on the same album, and yet, somehow it will always sound like SHINee. They reinvent the industry with every new release. Fun fact: SM originally wanted to make SHINee a hip-hop group. Hip-hop was the style of music that was really popular when they debuted. That's why Key and Minho are both rappers and how Taemin started out as a popper in dance. But as Key tells it, they just didn't have the swag they needed in order to be taken seriously as a hip-hop group. So, right before their debut, SM switched up their sound and style to "Replay," and the SHINee members spent a few intense weeks working on their vocal abilities in order to be able to match the skills needed for a vocal heavy song like this. And the rest is history. As you just heard, this is SHINee's signature classic contemporary R&B vocals they are now known for. As you can see by their "Replay" MV, even at 14, Taemin was one of the best dancers in Kpop, and you will soon discover with the more that you watch from SHINee and Taemin's solo work, that he has only gotten more magnificent over the years. SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. From day one they became known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. When they debuted they were one of the only groups who were singing live while performing this intense choreography. And everyone was so shocked with their abilities. The ONLY thing the SHINee members are not good at is lip syncing, therefore, they avoid it at all costs. When you hear SHINee singing, 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when SHINee lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. So, unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, SHINee will always sing live. They have trained their entire career to build endurance and stamina in order to be able to sing live and continue to sound flawless while performing like this for more than 3 hours straight in concert. SHINee set the standard. That is why they are so highly respected among their peers. It is literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard all other groups strive to reach. You should also check out SHINee's "Replay" dance practice, ua-cam.com/video/gv60nR3_69U/v-deo.html. It's not an official dance practice video because dance practice videos didn't become a thing until 2010 when SHINee released the Kpop industry's very first dance practice video for their song "Lucifer," but it is a real dance practice video from way back in SHINee's debut days. SHINee are the reason why Kpop groups produce dance practice/choreography videos today. SHINee recently talked about how they spent months as trainees practicing this choreography in order to get it down perfectly. During Taemin's appearance on The Manager, we see all 4 of the SHINee members in the dance studio practicing for their "Hard" comeback last year, as well as their concert performance, and they talk about what it was like when they were trainees learning the dance.
I never heard anyone not liking Replay and you guys got taste. Also, y'all will be surprised to know how good kpop songs were back then. It's much better imo. I'm a long time fan and I say 2nd gen kpop is the best. Nothing could come close.
No Kpop would not be as popular or world wide known without bts, and kpop was not as popular untill 2015 thx to bts but shinee debut song is a banger i keep listening to it i just love it it is so catchy
@@SophieJadeLane17bts would not exist if no shinee, bigbang, suju, 2pm, turbo, g.o.d. bts is bigbang2, bang ceo was obsess with shinee you dummy, bts was after psy gangnam style, kdramas popularity, you think bts would be if not mainstream. group like shinee was in europe before big mainstream

This has been called by other Kpop artists the industry, as well as Kpop enthusiasts, the best-ever Kpop debut song. It is constantly covered by veteran and new Kpop groups to this day. It's almost as if "Replay" was a required cover within the industry...lol. Our Taemin was just 14 in this MV and didn't really have any lines due to immature vocal cords. Fun Fact: SHINee mentored both EXO and NCT prior to their own debuts. SHINee was known to be the gold standard for singing and performing live. Even the managers of BTS told them to model themselves after SHINee for their performances. Suga revealed this during his "Suchwita" episode when Taemin was his guest. SHINee also performed another one of their songs that is a fan-favorite which is ironically called, "Excuse Me Miss" and many UA-camrs react to it without any issues. I think you all would love it! You can see a live performance of it here: ua-cam.com/video/jSORaqTQykk/v-deo.html And YES! SHINee sings "Replay" live very often during their concerts. It's a very special song for them. Here are two live performances you could react to 1) ua-cam.com/video/LijtN12wlnM/v-deo.html You can really, really hear their stellar harmonization with this performance. 2) ua-cam.com/video/uwWoK_LwjTI/v-deo.html This one is nostalgic because they played a video of their debut performance of the song while performing live. Jonghyun got very emotional during this performance.
Shinee and other 2nd gen idols helped frame the kpop we know now. Shinee had the first dance practice video, BigBang created the lightstick, and so much more. Second gen will always hold a very special place in my heart. Replay is known as the best debut song in kpop, and they have so so much more iconic amazing music.
This is THE debut of all debuts and still remains iconic til this very day. When it comes to K-pop, SHINee is definitely a group you cannot NOT know... They are legendary! The fact that they're still active and going strong after being in the game for over 15 years speaks numbers in itself😊 My ult bias is and will forever be Jonghyun 1:18... He was such a beautiful soul with a beautiful voice and incredible talent💙🕊 You should definitely check out his solo work, along with the other members: Onew, Key, Minho(& more of Taemin)👍
This song is known by basically every single kpop stan regardless of what year they became a fan. It is basically the national anthem. It's so iconic and beloved for so many reasons!
5 members are incredible artist & SHINee still active till today, 16th anniversary this year. SHINee is one of the group legend under SM, 2nd generation & wholeh KPop. I hope you will do more reactions to their songs especially their live performances because they are also known for having the best concerts and live performances. Plus, all of the members have their own solo albums too. Many of their songs are hit! and one of the song became one of the list of addictive song that Korean students were banned from listening to before their SATs (exam before entering university). The song is Ring Ding Dong, very earworms 😭beware if you guys react to it later. React to SHINee: Ring Ding Dong (2009), Stand By Me (OST 2009), Lucifer (2010), Everybody (2013), Sherlock (2013), Selene 6.23 (2013), View (2015), Don't Call Me (2021), Juice (2023), Hard (2023) React to solo Jonghyun: Y Si Fuera Ella, Lonely, She Is, Before Our Spring, End Of A Day, Poet Artist (album), Breathe sing by LeeHi (wrote by Jonghyun) Onew: You Are My Everything, Circle, Blue, Dice, Life Goes On Key: Gasoline, Killer, Good & Great, Hate that..., Villain Minho: Chase, Heart Break, I'm Home, Stay For A Night Taemin: Danger, Press Your Number, Sayonara Hitori, Flame of Love, Move, Want, Criminal, Idea, Advice, Guilty, Pretty Boy, Trap Just to let you know, Jonghyun (RIP) is an incredible talent that’ll never be forgotten...not only one of the best vocalists in all of KPop, but also a very talented composer, writer and producer, his lyrics are deep & poetic. The first person in SM with self written albums. He also wrote for SHINee and other artists such as EXO, IU, Lee Hi, Taemin.
There's a reason why 4th and 5th gen groups still cover this song. Replay is truly timeless, and Shinee is quite literally an example of living history. So many trends back then (both musically in the industry as well as in the general public) were influenced by them. Lucifer is the song that really skyrocketed them into complete stardom, and it's part of the reason why groups have such complex and intricate choreographies. It's also the first ever released (or leaked) dance practice video. Such an iconic song.
The kings of kpop! This is the best debut ever in my opinion. If you wanna listen to more r&b and incredible vocals you must listen to shinee! They are also constantly mentioned as inspiration by other idols, "idols of idols".
I'm very happy that you reacted to Shinee. Replay together with Ring ding dong, sherlock, lucifer and View are some of Shinee's most iconic songs but their discography is very wide. In particular, Ribley is still considered the most successful debut song today. Shinee revolutionized the k-pop industry (they introduced dance practices, brought the deep house genre, etc.). Each member of the group he has a unique voice... they are extraordinary artists (both as a group and as soloists). I recommend you watch the live performances of Excuse me miss, Odd eye, An encore, Selene 6.23, farewell love, Dynamite.
Always expect GREAT VOCALSS from SM’s groups! This is one of the legendary groups that SM created! They are so talented and iconic❤ Noona neomu yeoppeooooo
New nothing about SHINee until Straykids covered their iconic Sherlock and l couldn’t believe how good it was So of course l had to delve back into their music and was hooked but saddened by the loss of Jonghyun
Stray Kids are great, they are so talented and hard working. I've been slowly getting into more of their music. Welcome to SHINee World, it's a great place to be, and I'm glad you discovered what amazing artists they are. If you have time, you should watch SHINee live, you won't be sorry! Obviously, what happened is sad, but don't let it define Jonghyun or SHINee. Always remember that SHINee is 5, the members talk about him, include him in their activities and honor him during performances💙
I can't move on from stanning SM idols because they can produce talented artists. Although the agency sometimes give me headache because of the way they managing their artist
It's only fair to react to View,Sherlock, Lucifer and all the legendary stuff now ... Shinee is timeless... Also many juniors have covered replay so you might like it too!
I got into kpop into 2008 so seeing and hearing this song again not only made me excited but it also made me cry. This was really nostalgic for me. And I do wish sometimes we can go back to 2008 when I first got into kpop.
SHINee is and always will be my ultimate group. Taemin, Onew, and Key will be releasing solo projects soon, I am excitedly waiting for their next group comeback! Soon I hope!

No doubt it's the best debut song ever !!
I never heard anyone not liking Replay and you guys got taste. Also, y'all will be surprised to know how good kpop songs were back then. It's much better imo. I'm a long time fan and I say 2nd gen kpop is the best. Nothing could come close.
Kpop would be nothing without this song and shinee
No Kpop would not be as popular or world wide known without bts, and kpop was not as popular untill 2015 thx to bts but shinee debut song is a banger i keep listening to it i just love it it is so catchy
@@SophieJadeLane17bts would not exist if no shinee, bigbang, suju, 2pm, turbo, g.o.d. bts is bigbang2, bang ceo was obsess with shinee you dummy, bts was after psy gangnam style, kdramas popularity, you think bts would be if not mainstream. group like shinee was in europe before big mainstream
@@SophieJadeLane17shinee influence is not western validation, it is music. bts were fan of bigbang and shinee, two group trendsetters icones in kpop, what it means, he means bts do not exist if no shinee o bigbang cause they were who they look up to
@@yulhi661 I know BTS wouldn’t exist if no other K-pop groups came before them, but K-pop wouldn’t be really popular all over the world if it wasn’t for BTS like yes, second generation and first generation went to America and talk shows, but it was a flop when BTS went on there that’s when everything started going really well for K-pop some of your favorite groups (in hybe mostly but anyone) wouldn’t even be here if it wasn’t for BTS because BTS is the reason why lots of these idols wanted to become a idol so if it wasn’t for BTS, some of your idols, wouldn’t even be here
@@SophieJadeLane17 and kpop would still be kpop. western validation addict think kpop is valid just if american love it. but then army says bts ain't kpop. you brought bts for no reason, cause kpop exist because 1st and 2nd gen made it kpop like kpop don't exist without pop music. but bts wouldn't exist if kpop didn't. 2nd gen made with their time when mainstream wasn't big and internet was slow.
You can see a live performance of it here: ua-cam.com/video/jSORaqTQykk/v-deo.html
And YES!

SHINee's superior talent since Day 1 👑💯💎🔥

The best K-Pop era 🔥
NOONA NEOMU YEPPEOOOOO
best debut song 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
5 members are incredible artist & SHINee still active till today, 16th anniversary this year. SHINee is one of the group legend under SM, 2nd generation & wholeh KPop. I hope you will do more reactions to their songs especially their live performances because they are also known for having the best concerts and live performances. Plus, all of the members have their own solo albums too.
Many of their songs are hit! and one of the song became one of the list of addictive song that Korean students were banned from listening to before their SATs (exam before entering university). The song is Ring Ding Dong, very earworms 😭beware if you guys react to it later.
React to SHINee: Ring Ding Dong (2009), Stand By Me (OST 2009), Lucifer (2010), Everybody (2013), Sherlock (2013), Selene 6.23 (2013), View (2015), Don't Call Me (2021), Juice (2023), Hard (2023)
React to solo
Jonghyun: Y Si Fuera Ella, Lonely, She Is, Before Our Spring, End Of A Day, Poet Artist (album), Breathe sing by LeeHi (wrote by Jonghyun)
Onew: You Are My Everything, Circle, Blue, Dice, Life Goes On
Key: Gasoline, Killer, Good & Great, Hate that..., Villain
Minho: Chase, Heart Break, I'm Home, Stay For A Night
Taemin: Danger, Press Your Number, Sayonara Hitori, Flame of Love, Move, Want, Criminal, Idea, Advice, Guilty, Pretty Boy, Trap
Just to let you know, Jonghyun (RIP) is an incredible talent that’ll never be forgotten...not only one of the best vocalists in all of KPop, but also a very talented composer, writer and producer, his lyrics are deep & poetic. The first person in SM with self written albums. He also wrote for SHINee and other artists such as EXO, IU, Lee Hi, Taemin.
*the best debut song fr fr*
There's a reason why 4th and 5th gen groups still cover this song. Replay is truly timeless, and Shinee is quite literally an example of living history. So many trends back then (both musically in the industry as well as in the general public) were influenced by them.
Lucifer is the song that really skyrocketed them into complete stardom, and it's part of the reason why groups have such complex and intricate choreographies. It's also the first ever released (or leaked) dance practice video. Such an iconic song.
Best kpop debut
OG SHINee!! Thank you for reacting to them. You should also listen to their songs, Ring Dong Dong and Sherlock.
Best kpop song debut of all time!
SHINee🥺
This song is still a masterpiece in my heart. Literally the best debut ever
THE LEGENDS !! THE PRINCESS OF K-POP !!
SHINee fandom name : Shawol

New nothing about SHINee until Straykids covered their iconic Sherlock and l couldn’t believe how good it was So of course l had to delve back into their music and was hooked but saddened by the loss of Jonghyun
Stray Kids are great, they are so talented and hard working. I've been slowly getting into more of their music. Welcome to SHINee World, it's a great place to be, and I'm glad you discovered what amazing artists they are. If you have time, you should watch SHINee live, you won't be sorry! Obviously, what happened is sad, but don't let it define Jonghyun or SHINee. Always remember that SHINee is 5, the members talk about him, include him in their activities and honor him during performances💙
please more shinee they’re so amazing
This song is so legendary❤
I can't move on from stanning SM idols because they can produce talented artists.

I got into kpop into 2008 so seeing and hearing this song again not only made me excited but it also made me cry. This was really nostalgic for me. And I do wish sometimes we can go back to 2008 when I first got into kpop.
