The five of you and this show are the best sales reps that DVC could ever ask for! It truly is a miracle that I have not bought into it yet. It is in my long term plans, just not in the financial cards at the moment.

We are Canadian owners who bought direct, back in 2013 when the dollar was at par. At that time, aside from having to deal with time lag with FedEx and shipping the documents, there was not a lot of extra hoops to jump through... as long as you were living in Ontario or Alberta. If you lived anywhere else in Canada, you had to be in Disney to buy direct. We financed the purchase ourselves, using our line of credit so we were able to control the repayments. We added on, also direct, during a visit in 2014 and we had the points in our account (well, double points actually) before the ink was dry on the contract. If you know you want to do it and you want to do it direct, do it on your next vacation, it's so much easier!

The 15% holdback was great information to know. Thank Derick

I live in the U.S. but this was pretty interesting. Great content......as always.

We bought our points through DVC resale market last year, and I must say it was the simplest process ever. From submitting our offer to having the Welcome home email from Disney took around 6 weeks. Andy in the California office held our hand all the way, letting us know everything we had to do. Would not hesitate to use DVC resale/rental market again in the future. Sorry, I should have said we are from the UK.

Direct DVC purchase remotely from Toronto, Canada was wayyyyy easier than my resale purchase. That's not to say the resale was hard, but it was what I expected for a real estate transaction with documents, delays, and red tape.

  • @jakeballentine

We love Tom Sawyer’s Island and go every time.

  • @LauraV-pf8ky

Im from Uk, and in 2019 i bought direct from Disney via a phone call from UK, so easy and seemless, and documents and that time send via fedex very efficiently, disney support etc followed up with phones calls to check everything going well etc. thought the whole process was great . Im now looking to buy small contract via resale and in process of actively looking for specific contract.

  • @wakeywarrior

I’ve got 390 points and live in the UK. Only 25 were direct, rest bought via DVC Resalemarket.

  • @shannonmiller5618

Love these guys and their videos

  • @DuncanWoolgerGolf

Bought our resale contract, an ext OKW because of the DVC fan crew. Very very easy process. Have recommended to others who have now also completed on their AK contract from the UK.

  • @RachaelCDressage

    Loved this!

Derek's "Fake Italy" reminds me of the World Showcase. My ultimate bucket list is to travel to all 11 countries in real life. I have 2 down and 9 to go.

  • @cgarcia8289

Thanks for this video guys being from Canada this really helps us out moving forward.

  • @lewismorgan13

This couldn't have come out at a better/worst time for me 😂 I'm going to end up with a contract 😂

  • @Carrie-je2xb

We bought direct with Disney while sat at home in cold UK November 2022. All done remote and direct. We didn’t need financing so maybe that’s why. First welcome home visit was August 2023 and we will be back again 2024 😊

  • @user-no6dx5et9h

We're from the UK signed up direct with Disney last November, we had to be present to take out the finance, it was a quick and easy process, the day after we went to Saratoga to sign once the papers were issued. Excited for our Welcome Home stay in 2 week time. We will also be attending Moon Light Magic at AK on the 23rd, hoping to see some of you there 😃

  • @RockSpuds

You will love the Brightline! We used it to go from Orlando during the Marathon weekend to go watch the final NFL Dolphins/Bills game in Miami. Worked very well, only wish getting to and from that dang Dolphins stadium, sheesh.

  • @jasonrichardson32

Love the shows guys although I didn’t understand the reference to international buyers needing to be in the US to buy in. I’m a direct owner from the UK and was all done over the phone from the UK with FedEx shipping the documents back and forth - it was a breeze. I was aware you couldn’t do Disney finance remotely but if no finance involved you can buy from abroad. Keep your the great work guys

I truly enjoyed eet. Will definitely go back on future trips. Haven't seen anything about Maneet having special events though. Would love to do that.
