This was the hometown of Randy Meisner of the Eagles. I can imagine Randy spending time there as a teen before he moved to L.A. and became famous. I know he always loved to return to his home in Nebraska. Thank you for taking us along with you on this lovely walk through Scotts Bluff 👍🏻😊
@@WanderingWalksofWonderIt would be nice if there was some kind of recognition in the town to Randy while he is still alive…rather than waiting until he passes, like usually happens. I heard that Randy and his first wife did quite a bit to help the town in the past.
I grew up here and in the 80's Main Street was 4 lanes. I spent my weekend nights driving up and down the main drag looking for friends and cute girls. It was definitely what one would expect Americana of the 80's would look like. I moved back in 1997 and currently own a business on E Overland.
I graduated from Morrill High in 1976, and me and my buds used to drag main on the weekends, listening to KOMA out of Oklahoma City, chasing girls and ragging on the guys from the other little towns in the area who were our sports rivals...The whole "American Graffiti" thing! Saw many movies at the Bluffs and Midwest, $2.00 in those days.
I was born in Scottsbluff,Ne at the Old Hospital on Broadway St just a short walk from the Midwest Theater. I love to strut down Broadway St in my jorts .
@@WanderingWalksofWonderdid you see any homeless people hanging around the city parks or in the streets or anywhere else in the city? There’s not many job opportunities in Scottsbluff?
Exploring lesser-known places always fascinates me, because here you can get some unique experiences. The city looks quite friendly, thanks for sharing, and have a nice weekend! 🙂
Scottsbluff might be appealing to disgruntled California residents who might decide to visit the city and try to relocate to the city causing a severe housing shortage and traffic congestion!
Home sweet home :)
