Dear WWoW, I wrote to you earlier in the summer to tell you that I was using your videos to plan a trip along the Missouri River. I did ... and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You provide such excellent details and beautiful videos. Well, now I'm working on a trip to the Georgia-Carolina coast, based on your videos. I first saw the one you did on Beaufort, and I fell in love with the area. Your channel provides such a wealth of good information. It's a must see for any traveler who wants to see the real area before they build an itinerary. THANK YOU!!!!

Awesome! Thanks so much! I really enjoyed my time in Georgia and South Carolina. I love historic places and found it to be a great place to explore. In just that area I learned a ton about the Revolutionary War all the way to the Civil War that I barely knew about. I also enjoy learning more about smaller towns in other parts of the country. I'm working on a roadtrip for next year that would follow the Lincoln Highway from NYC to California - much of the passing thorough smaller towns. I'm also planning a trip to follow the Naitonal Road from Maryland to Illinois. Basing trip on these types of roads allows me to see smaller towns and learn about parts of the country I don't know much about.

Stayed at the Elms. Had a knock on our door and a voice said room service. I opened the door and a man dressed in period clothing was there. Told him we didn't order anything. Shut the door and reopened a second later thinking it was weird. Long long corridor and no one to be found. Kinda freaky.

A few other towns to possibly check out, if you dont mind the drive, Tawas city and East Tawas ( 2 separate towns but real close together) shopping, dining, hotels and motels, a light house, and varios other sights and businesses. About 10-12 miles North of Tawas area, is a little latger town called Oscoda. Shopping, dining, what used to be Wurtsmith Air Force Base, outside of town, now closed, but businesses, medical places, and varios things there. When it was an Air Force Base, it had B-52 Bombers stationed there. Alpena. Way up North, almost to tip of Lower Penninsula. Different sights to see there.

There are a few restaurants - and a bit of shopping. The main attraction downtown is the theatre and the many office and government buildings. Most of the restaraunts are just a bit closer to the University which is just about 1/2 mile from the downtown center. There is a cool museum that I hope to visit this Fall downtown as well.
