Just sharing my two cents...when I was a kid, Dad bought a mobile home that was the same size as the one we lived in at the time. He had it positioned twenty feet apart from the original home. Had it leveled and started a porch of cedar planks to connect the two homes. That porch was solid! Later on he added a roof over the porch and connected it by design to look like part of the two home roofs. The following month he build the walls, and had two glass sliding doors for the front and back of the middle addition. The middle part finally became the huge family room, with the other mobile home being the new kitchen, pantry, and walk in refrigerator, extra large closets and master bedroom with bathroom. The original home became all bedrooms and a extra bathroom for my brother and guests. There were ten of us at the time! The family room was the best! We had a small baby grand piano and other musical instruments, a lot of comfortable sitting areas for reading, popcorn machine and projector for movie nights. When we would have sleepovers with our cousins, the pillow fights were awesome, lol. One of my cousins bought the homestead 20 years ago! What good memories we all had. Have fun building yours. Much love and blessings from south Texas.
Brother, we love you and your family. We haven't meet but we are equally yoked. Wisdom and counsel is vital to prosperity in the endeavor we pursue. Please, please remove the stumps and the root system before putting in the footers and building. This will save headache and future unforseen problems. We dearly care and know you are like us, no short cuts or half done endeavors, you always amaze us with your caring intelligence and personality. Rent a piece of equipment and get those trees out of there. Peace of mind is vital. Terminates and the root structure under that area will have great amounts of settling as the wood is consumed. Trees can survive also and lead to problems. Thank you for sharing your experiences and family life. We love you and hope to sow one day into your family. Cheers

For fixing broken handles, start with a small drill bit, maybe around 1/8 inch and drill several holes spread out in the wood stuck in the head. Remodels are fun to watch. You did a very nice job on the original. +
I'm enjoying watching the build happening, but what I really liked was the axe. I was fascinated with how the handle was attached. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats buggy gonna be a big sister, love y’all’s videos. Been watching since you stripped trailer to bare and rebuilt. Lots of good info in y’all’s videos for homesteaders and gardeners ❤️
Sitting in my little but homy kitchen after a day's of remote working in my little but homy bedrood/living room... dealing with annuitant's deaths and their pensions... in french speaking Quebec Canada... you would not know how much I loved the part of the axe with the inertia thing! OMG! :D ...so now you know!! ;) ... and Oh I just started my sourdough adventure this week as I got my starter... After rising I got a second one going..one is called Amen and the other one Hallelujah! :D ... Thank You and G.od Bless You All! :)
Thank you for sharing your day... happy for you with your sourdough starter... totally love the names too! Still waiting for my starter to come. Blessings on your day Kiddo!🌻🐛💕Carolyn in Ohio
@@marking-time-gardens Thank you so much marking-time-gardens! :) ... and by the way you just put the cherry on my day as you called me Kiddo as I'm 52!! ;) ... and you are right! ... I feel like a kid watching the starter rise and everything being alive!!! :D ... Please keep us posted as you get your starter! ;) ... We will be like kids in a pond! ;) :D XOXO
@@JulieonUA-cam Awe! That sounds like fun! You have made MY day as you are a Kiddo to me LOL! My youngest just turned 50 in December. Now I need to pray about what to name my starter when it comes. 😂 For they will all "rise up" and bring praise to the Lord! (I am am in the middle of my Jubilee Year - 75 years young! PTL!) And very blessed to be so active... gardening and on the go a lot. Absolutely many blessings over you Kiddo!. 🌻🐛💕Carolyn in Ohio

Enjoyed your video lots of progress already, love watching all your hard working kids each and everyone of them and of course you & Meg too,I love seeing Meg's tummy peak out the door so cute 😍
I am so excited! I can’t wait to watch the progress! I feel like I’m getting the new addition! You all got this! I love that the kids get to be a part of it! They will grow into very productive adults with valuable experience and all the memories!! ps…. and doing it barefoot makes even better!
You’re right. I did cringe at those bare feet! But what a great team of workers for this project. And they’ll learn so much. If you want to prevent those stumps from sprouting anything, bore several 1” holes in the tops and fill with cheap salt. It’ll kill them for sure.
I am so glad you guy are doing a bigger addition, hopefully there is a bathroom with it! Exciting! I remember when you redid your current one! Can't wait! Blessings!
I think they already have 2 bathrooms. It will be a lot easier if there is no plumbing in the addition.
Great to see you all working together on your home. Even Buggie had a spade. Your boys are a great work crew. 💕💕🌻🌻
Hey, Ben. Your build is exciting. It will also be very educational for a bunch of us. Thanks for taking us through it a step at a time. Good luck, brother.
You want to mention to Al this week that the boys were working bare footed in February.
And six inch frost depth.
Lots of work but well worth it thank you stay safe ALL
We got holes!... that went fast with a bunch of hard workers.. Can't wait to see the progress
So exciting for you all, to have all that new space eventually! Buggy was so cute in that hole! Nice you have the strong help of all your sons! Great work by all! And that chicken dinner looked delicious!
So impressed how you are teaching your young men! Priceless.
I’m a 62 year old Grammy of 4 littles. I love your videos and look forward to watching you add on to your mobile home . 🥰❤️
This is were neck deep in right now. Started buikding a 14x60 foot addition to our 12x55 single wide. We are now roofed, closed in, rooms are framed. We're running electric and starting insulating this week. Been a long process but such a blessing building debt free.
Your family is so precious. I'm excited for the new construction.
I love seeing you all working together! Buggy even had her own little spade
Marjory Wildcraft digs barefoot also. She says it is grounding and her feet are used to it, much like the Hollar boys. We could all use a bit of grounding! lol
That’s true!!!
I’d be scared to go barefoot around sharp tools though, or tools in general really ..
but I’m a klutz and a wimp😂
So excited for you guys!!! Off to a great start with the best help!!!
Glad to see you giving your family more space .
That baby is growing fast!! Gonna be here soon!!
Them boys are good to have around for sure! That chicken looked yummy!!😋Thanks for sharing!!
I love you guys. I see the Lord in your Home. God Bless.
Looking forward to watching this ride. Keep up the good work
I hear the energy in your voice as you talk about the addition! The momentum is really taking off and all your work in the last few years is now really paying off.
Congratulations and blessing to your family!
