We can tell you've got a soft spot for this laptop's design, and understandably so, it is a very beautiful item. A shame about the fan noise, hot spots and sound quality.

Nice PC. Camera and display are good. Definitely an HP Spectre clone but still and excellent choice. You mentioned in your negatives no SD card reader but in your description of the ports it had a micro SD card slot. Excellent review.
I have the last gen version of this with the 1280P i7 32GB of ram, it's been stellar thus far. I will say the battery does not live up to most reviews however unless you limit the performance substantially. But for it's size and weight the performance is great and the included pen is great.

I just bought a asus ROG flow x13 and it died after one month of use… asus is telling me that I opened the laptop and broke the fan cable but I didn’t… what I noticed is that the laptop got to hot as this one… so I’m a bit concerned the same thing happens to this one,

Hi Andrew, I've been watching your reviews for a while. Finally, I decided on the evo e13 A12Mt (1280p, 32GB) option for budget and performance. Only when I read the comments on the internet, I saw that serious problems were encountered with the cooling. Comments are from 2021 and earlier. I wonder if this problem has been solved in 2022 and 2023 models? As far as I can see, you shoot the evaluation video of the same product a while after the first video. Your comments are very important to me, I will not order without a reply from you. Thanks in advance.
Cooling is an issue in _all_ ultrabooks. MSI by default sets a higher power target for the CPU. The cooling is actually quite impressive for the form factor.
The "fix" is to set it a notch towards power saving in Windows. You can keep the brightness of the screen and the 120Hz if you like.
I'm not sure why doesn't MSI ship with power targets as low as competition, but I assume it's for performance bragging rights.
I saw last year's model for around $800 to $900 with 16 GB ram i7-1260 (I think) and was thinking of buying it but it seems like it's best to maybe try t go for this one instead considering the 32 GB ram and upgrades all around. Is it worth spending the $400-700 extra for this one or is it good to go with last year's for $900?
Yeah the 32 might be worth it considering ram is not upgradable
The hinges look very weak. The screen should not fall backwards that easily when you lift the laptop. Also, do the Design team at these manufacturers actually use laptops themselves???
1. The power button should NEVER be where the Delete should live.
2. On ALL convertible laptops, the power button should be on the side. They keyboard disables when in tablet mode, you should be able to wake it without flipping it back to laptop mode.
3. Speakers need drastic improvement.
Thermals on all Intel laptops are terrible. Make a AMD version until Intel figures it out
The MSI Summit E13 Flip Evo (2023) is a gorgeous machine that has a clear 1080p webcam as well as clear internal array mics. 522 nits IPS Touch Display, excellent battery life, 120Hz refresh rate, good port selection, comfortable keyboard, upgradable SSD, HDMI 2.1, MSI Pen included and 32GB of LPDDR5-4800MHz. Negatives are no SD Card reader, soldered RAM and the Iris Xe Graphics. All and all, it is a fine laptop from MSI that’s worth your consideration. Thank you Andrew for this Premium review! 👌😁
