Never got used to that. Almost worse than jumping. I was always scared I’d get a boot lace snagged and get sucked out after it. Totally irrational, but happened every time.

a soldier in combat load hitting the ground with a parachute is the equivalent to hitting the groud from a 10 foot fall,
for a humvee, probably alot harder
