Hey buddy I've only just found your channel but just want to say...... How on earth have you not got more subs your videos are so well put together very in-depth come from proper love of final fantasy and took alot of work to compile plus you crack me up at times your a funny bloke... You got the perfect voice for retrospective reviews you don't shout or sound annoying just calm and concise... Will you ever do a retrospective on the octopath series considering it's extremely close to the ff series Anyway you got a new sub here keep up the great work
Thanks for the quick replie buddy just catching up on your content currently watching your x2 review.... BTW I loved your review of dimensions that's actually how I found your channel 😊
And, I still didn't watch the whole video, so I'm curious if you're going to mention it, but that whole moment where Close In The Distance kept ramping up (Starting out as just an echo of the song, feeling distant and then we get an instrumental version and finally the whole song) as our companions gave hope to a desolate place like Ultima Thule was so well done, really special and fantastic moment, shed a few tears over it for sure
it's pretty poetic how the time you thought was the "final year" of REFFOID but still continue the series just like said series having so many games despite being called "final fantasy".
This is video is exactly what I needed. You may not got the largest community but the ones who watch every single one of your videos love you to death.
man, big fan of your whole journey here, your beef with Zenos is so funny hahaha I think his purpose is to be a mirror of the player, always coming back with each new expansion, always wanting to be stronger and never being totally satisfied with it, his whole speech at the end being directed to not the WoL per se, but to the "adventurer" as in us players. I really felt Zenos calling me (and everybody else, especially if you've tried out savages blind LOL) out at the end lmao. Overall I really love to hate him and he really was the best villain to wrap up the game with, along with all the emotions we felt beforehand
Ho boy. On the one hand, that's something I've always had in the back of my mind: That there's no way all of these expansions string together like one long story arc the way people keep saying they do. I just didn’t buy it. And it sounds like I was right. That being said, on the other hand... I also kept hearing that Shadowbringers was the peak of XIV, and yet... Endwalkers sounds freaking amazing! This is the most I've ever wanted to pick up this game. Still not quite enough to push me over the line into playing an MMO, but closer than I've ever been before, which is pretty big for me. I have to admit, just following along here, I can understand why people enjoy XIV as much as they do. I do wish, now that the first arc is complete these days, that most of the filler tangents of the main story could be transferred into side content somehow. That would be enough to push me over the edge into checking this all out, personally. Nevertheless, XIV absolutely deserves its spot along the rest of the mainlines. Thanks again for all the effort you put into every one of your videos, and I'm super excited for your video on XVI!
try the free trial some time! they pretty frequently have periods where you can try the game (now all the way up to stormblood) for free so there's no pressure to pay for a sub until you're sure you want to see more
First time viewer and absolutely amazed at how well made your videos are! Subscribed and loved hearing your thoughts. I do think your point criticizing the flow of each expansion and whether each episode was truly a part of the Hydaelyn and Zodiark arc is extremely valid and true. And yet I think despite that, I don't find it to be too much of a detriment as each expansion still added yet another layer to our journey as the warrior of light. At the end of the day, the story was our story, It was made of the time spent in this game with the people that we've found and the experiences that we've shared. Glad to hear that you've enjoyed your journey through FFXIV and excited to see what your thoughts are on Dawntrail!
I'll never forget the race for that Regalia, I have PTSD from grinding those Leap of Faith puzzles & the Fashion Reports and I wouldnt change it for the world Loved the review as always bro!!
Man i always come back into these 14 vids forgetting 90% of the plot of the last expansion but i enioy the episodes so much anyways, shits got me tearing up again ngl
when my gf played ew she almost quit over the tailing missions and the instance in garlemald (the one with the body swap), the tailing missions were...admittedly pretty bad but i personally liked the latter, lack of direction nonwithstanding (oh and in the turret part if you miss one enemey you will just die and have to restart)
weird story with endwalker, when it first came out, they added the spatial audio thing which for some reason, messed up my old laptop so i couldn't play without the sound stuttering weirdly, it was fixed a month later and during that time i just....waited and did events, so i was a month behind on EW as it came out
welp, gotta put this vid on hold and actually get to endwalker LOL. read some other comments though and it seems you were pretty happy with this one! very glad to see it if true

Absolutely true, and I tried to show a montage of my story through the opening segment :)
@@TomLazan It made me nostalgic! It was such a great sequence!

I can see why that instance was annoying but the story going on was too cool
