I suspect in many cases it’s an important component of genocide to force increasingly inhumane conditions on the group for the express purpose that the group will display increasingly desperate behaviour. Psychologically, for the exterminating group, it’s easy to look at that behaviour and go “I would never do that, that behaviour is a product of that group being intrinsically disgusting and animalistic, not their circumstances”. It provides a better psychological justication for physical extermination.
The Nazis really liked taking films inside Jewish ghettos and going “look what disgusting conditions these people live in” and using it as propaganda.

Saying that the IDF is only responsible for the death of 10 people who according to the IDF itself were shot (according to the doctors on the ground, 80% of patients were gunshot patients, not trampled, but ok), while the rest were killed by a human stampede (of people running away of psychopaths shooting them, so understandable) is like saying that the organizers of 9/11 are only responsible for one or two deaths, the ones that they needed to get into the cockpits of the planes, and the rest were the unfortunate result of plane crashes and towers falling down.
Not only is the IDF fully responsible for every single death and injure, but it is also responsible for the situation that lead to such desperation, AND as days pass by, they seem to be responsible for also causing this on purpose, as it seems that the whole convoy was set like a trap from the very beginning.
This is unironically Nazi stuff that you see in the films to show how evil they were. This is the level of sick evilness that would get your manuscript rejected for being "too on the nose and explicit, this would never happen".

Indeed, it's rather fascinating how that works, I mean who knew, that when someone is shooting into a large crowd of starving desperate people, it will cause them to panic and people will get trampled...?
(Yeah, everybody knows this and everybody with any capacity of rational thought can figure out that even if someone was actually getting trampled prior to the first shots being fired, (which I haven't seen any evidence of), then opening fire, even just warning shots, will cause panic, and when people are found with bullet wounds, it's no longer "warning shots" - and it's honestly deeply concerning that apparently it's just okay for the media and politicians to play dumb and pretend this wasn't a massacre...!

Its disgusting. Primo Levi wrote exactly about this type of abuse against the civilian population when in his book described after grueling hours couped in box cars the Nazis would let them out for a short time so people would obviously urinate on railway tracks. Because it was done in front of a passive population, they'd look upon this in disgust and think the behaviour was less than an animal and the prisoners were welcome to their fate.
Its not a war. Hammas doesn't have the support of the population (who wasn't old enough to vote them in), only a month before 7th Oct, brave Palestinians were protesting shouting "Fuck Hammas". Its a genocide. I'm just glad TicToc is saving the war crimes in real time.

The most intelligent MAGA people have the brain capacity of toddlers - the rest is far below that bar.
Ever thought about what role the Trump/Pence administrationen had in aligning Saudi Arabia and the far right in Israel who's currently responsible for the massacre we're seeing in Gaza?
Of course it's also the same administration's who by moving the American Embassy to Jerusalem instead of Tel Aviv made a de-facto statement about considering Jerusalem as Israelian territory and not a split territory as it is seen by International Law.
Speaking of Trump, isn't it also interresting how Trump praised Xi for how he is dealing with the Uyghurs in China, instead of condemning the massive human rights violations conducted by China?
Perhaps Erik Prince had funneled some of that sweet Chinese money he was making in Xinjiang into Trump's pockets?
I mean, putting a lot of money in Trumps pockets where how Eriks sister got the gig as Secretary of Education!
Funny, that reminds me, funneling a lot of money into Trump's pockets waa also how the massive Arms deals with Saudia Arabia that the Obama/Biden administration had put a veto on, suddenly got expedited very quickly...
It's also interresting how many who were part of the Trump campaign who went on and got convicted of having dirty laundry hanging in Russia.
The same country that stands to benefit the most if Trump pulls America out of NATO.
Now speaking of NATO, do you know that the country that has benefitted the most from being a member of NATO, is America?

And if it hadn't been for NATO, POTUS Kennedy wouldn't have known about the tactical nuclear missiles that were heading for Cuba, before they had been planted there.
Now I do understand that MAGA-brains aren't capable of such complex thoughts, but try anyway to imagine how it will affect intelligence the USA is receiving from allies, if these allies stops trusting the USA?
Of course you will fail to understand the importance of these issues.

It will persist so long as we do not have readily available and pushed adequate mechanisms for bringing about these things ourselves. I don’t think the average person; especially so those who are working multiple minimum wage jobs etc.; have the capacity in terms of time, awareness, or money to go about searching for guiding philosophies, generating class consciousness, ethical frameworks, and confronting death. It’s too heavy an ask of the general population. Even more so if we look at it through the lense of education and power dynamics. We can propagate these ideas as much as we’d like but the sad truth is some guy in a suit could come along, speak in eccentric word salads, and people will hear buzz words assuming what is being said is legitimate without analysing the actual points made merely due to a perceived sense of authority and intellect. All that to say, so long as critical thinking isn’t taught and mandated(not critical thinking itself but the education of it) on a federal/international level, so long as people are allowed to grow up in echo chambers which do not promote critical engagement, so long as people feel uncomfortable with the idea of non essentialist thought, the problems surrounding religion will persist, in the form of divinity or not. I think all the things happened. I think Israel created a desperate hunger situation for the Palestinians. Desperate hungry Palestinians swarmed the aid trucks to be the first inline to get the aid. Israeli soldiers felt threatened by the number of desperate hungry Palestinians. Israeli soldiers started shooting at the desperate hungry Palestinians. The truck drivers panicked at the shooting and they ran over desperate hungry Palestinians as the truck drivers attempted to flee the gunfire. Desperate hungry Palestinians panicked by the Israeli gunfire, trampled each other as they tried to escape the Israeli gunfire. I mean all these things can be true at the same time but the responsibility is squarely on the Israelis for creating this situation.
