Thank you for the kind words!
Awesome! Great work, did you cast the molds yourself? ✌️💪
Thank you. Yes, I did with the help of my husband.
Do you always sketch before working on a project? Ps, really admire your work especially your MFA exhibition!
Thank you! Yes, I sketch first. I need to calculate the size of each part.
Very impressed with your work. I love working with clay but can only work on a small scale. Would love to see how you made the moulds. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for your support.
perfect 👌👏🇩🇿🤘
Thank you!
这泥条盘的也太好了吧😲
谢谢
Congratulations on your great work. I would like you to tell me please: how do you control the drying of these large pieces?
Thank you! I normally cover my pieces with a plastic bag after I finish them with one or two days. And then change the plastic into fabric to let them totally dry.
@@Liangceramicstudio thank you very much!!!! 🌸🤗🧚♂️🌿🌷
Liang, your artistry, technique and process inspires me to start this ceramic journey, thank you for sharing your talent.
Thank you! I am so glad to hear that.
Hi - thanks for sharing! I'm very new to this - what are the reasons you chose to build slowly with coil rather than a slab cylinder? Thanks.
Thans for the support! Good question! I prefer using coil to build symmetric forms becuase it is easier to control the shape.
@@Liangceramicstudio Thanks for the insight - if I'm brave enough to try a large piece I'll try that! 谢谢
@@pd4910 不客气!😁
Good
Thank you
Es posible reparar grietas antes de meter la pieza al horno?
Yes, you may need to do it several times.
Dishes. There is always the dishes to do.
Hi! Is this Clay “paper Clay “? Or Pottery Clay ?.... im having problems to find the right one .. what i find sometimes are with a lot of particules and dry very fast.. so fast that Start to have cracks...i dont know if theres something with the dry weather or it is the Clay ... love all your work ! You are amazing!
I am using commercial stoneware clay for this piece. Actually, particles are good for preventing cracks. You may need to slow down the drying process by covering your finished piece with a plastic bag. I usually change the plastic bag into cloth after one or two days to let it dry faster. It all depends on your piece and the humidity of your studio.
@@Liangceramicstudio thank you so much for answer me ... sometimes i do put some wet clothe and cover it... but the right small coil, piece i have in my hands cracks right away..and i dont know if its that ok or its a too dry clay to work with...but thank you so much !!!! i feel greatfull :)
非常好
谢谢

Что за инструмент, которым делают дырочки? Хочу его купить, как он называется?
I think you can find some if you search hole cutter ceramic on amazon.
Are the leg moulds based off a live model?
No, I made them. You can check this video for details. ua-cam.com/video/r7pAdG1nBVc/v-deo.html
Dear Miss,
I would like to start sculpting with clay. Could you tell me some books that I can learn important knowledge on the subject and get technical details? Your work is quite inspirational!
Thank you! A recently published book "Handbuilt Ceramics" by Jo Taylor, with my works among with several other ceramic artists, is really useful to see different approaches of handbuilding ceramics. I might be biased though... Another great book "Electric Kiln Ceramics: A Guide to Clays, Glazes, and Electric Kilns" by Richard Zakin, Frederick Bartolovic, and Sherman Hall is one of my favorite to start with. Please feel free to let me know if you have other questions later working with clay.
@@Liangceramicstudio Thank you so much for all of this information! You are awesome... I am looking forward to starting to go to an art studio in Philly. I am quite curious about the possible discrepancies between real and practical difficulties, and easy-looking and smooth demonstrations of this beautiful art form... What would your opinion be? May I ask; really, what are the difficulties and hardships of this craft at different levels of perspectives that one would experience as going from being a novice to an expert? Thank you so much!
you are a very talented ceramicist. but this sculpture creeps me out lol
Thanks! Sometimes it does that.
目玉おやじ。。。💛
