Not all the time, more at the end, earlier a lot of high chest and mix too (having a wide range helps) but head voice association was definitely intended.
If I remember right, this was Geoff's first solo video that he put together during the Covid shutdown, and outside of the CG bits, he assembled the set entirely from stuff his parents had around their house.
This is Geoff's first Halloween video on his solo channel 4 years ago. This is a room in his parents house. He and his wife Kathy decorated it with stuff around his parents house. Kathy blew out the candles.
Well, the lowest note I know of is A0 growl (bottom note on a piano) in Enemy, B0 subharmonics (Halo and Valhalla both are rich), F1 full chest, B4 some mix some chest, Bb5 highest note done first Super Mario Brothers - Peaches. Geoff has done a video on Thurl.
I did not know you were doing Geoff on this channel, nice! Also heavily suggest "ghost riders in the sky", fits the season and might be my favourite by him
Geoff has some fun physical comedy as well with his facial expressions, especially when the "heads" starts singing. Also you might enjoy Eric Hollaway - Sixteen Tons.
By the way - you might want to check out his group VoicePlay’s newest Halloween cover that dropped this past Friday. They did a spectacular cover of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” with Geoff doing the Vincent Price narration. Oooo, Shivers!
Geoff is using his "dark bass" voice for his lead in this entire song, specifically because of Thurl Ravenscroft's version, who is something of a bass hero for Geoff. If you listen to Geoff's versions of I See Fire or Song of Durin, you can really hear the difference between his "dark bass" voice and his normal bass voice. Peter Barber has described what Geoff is physically doing to make his "dark bass" voice happen.
According to my research, which is probably wrong, Thurl (famous for Mr. Grinch) did his version in 1963, but some little known dude named Bing Crosby did a version in 1949. In any event, Geoff does it just right.
It's funny that you mention that Geoff could play Shere Khan because VoicePlay have a short of That's What Friends Are For on their page where Geoff does just that. 😁
And to continue with the large feline villain theme... Voiceplay's release for the end of September was their version of "Be Prepared" from the Lion King, where Geoff plays Scar. Obviously 😍🥰😜
I would love to see you react to an oldie but goodie. Frank Zappa's 'Titties & Beer'. About a motorcycle rider with his girl going up against the Devil.
Thurl Ravenscroft was NOT the original. He was the first single, but the original in Disney's The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad was Bing Crosby. That said, you might enjoy this side-by-side comparison of Geoff on one speaker and Thurl on the other (so it's best with headphones): ua-cam.com/video/Li9q1p8fW8w/v-deo.htmlsi=A4ZRuk5Iq5J1lrnc
I was really spooked by the headless horseman when I was a kid and walking home from the neighbors one night I got spooked by something I can’t remember what but looking behind you when going under a barbed wire fence and raising up to fast was worse than anything else neighbor drove me to my house and then I went to the emergency room for stitches in my head I went as the headless horseman the next Halloween and I was never spooked again by such things it only took twelve stitches in my head to make me hard to scare

This was my first Geoff video and I can still feel that deep Halloween spook. Love his range and narration. Great reaction. Thanks.
When the heads are singing that range is called head voice or his upper range so it is Acapella joke. The heads are singing head voice
oh my god, how did i MISS that?!
Not all the time, more at the end, earlier a lot of high chest and mix too (having a wide range helps) but head voice association was definitely intended.
That ‘bouncy’ feel is also a ‘nod’ to the original in the animated film. The singer in the film was Bing Crosby.
Love watching people react to Geoff. He is an incredible talent.
If I remember right, this was Geoff's first solo video that he put together during the Covid shutdown, and outside of the CG bits, he assembled the set entirely from stuff his parents had around their house.
Almost, the first solo song was the Bare Necessities
This is Geoff's first Halloween video on his solo channel 4 years ago.

He also hit an A0 in Halo.

Also the September VoicePlay video wasn’t Sher Kahn but a different Disney villain. Geoff as Scar from Lion King! in “Be Prepared “
Thurl is Geoff’s inspiration for bass singing

Hey voice play came out with the cover thriller, it's cool

Oh girl you are in for a treat with Geoff’s stuff.
This was filmed in his parents living room. Just him and his wife, Kathy. He is amazing!
The laughing at the very end sounds like a sound bite from Voice Play's version of Oogie Boogie's song.
This song comes from Disney's Ickabod and Mr. Toad cartoon.
It's funny that you mention that Geoff could play Shere Khan because VoicePlay have a short of That's What Friends Are For on their page where Geoff does just that. 😁

The Heads sing in head-voice!
He recently released "The Song of Durin" it is a must listen.
this the funniest Halloween song ever !!!
You have to check out homefree acapella group they are great. Tim is their bass in the band.
Bing Crosby sang this song in the animated movie.

I just searched your page, and it looks as though you haven't yet reacted to Geoff's cover of Monster Mash. I highly recommend it!
will do
@@AmericansLearn, I can’t wait to see it!
The original singer of this song was Bing Crosby.
Thanks for the correction!
I need the Lauren's ig, I love her
Please react to Tomi P's cover of Lullaby of Woe. His range will blow your mind.

I can make that my next Diana video. I have seen a bunch of her stuff, I'm always looking for specifics! So thanks!
