It makes sense that a final DLC would take around a month longer to create. If they want to make it bigger, it would need more time. My guess is that Frontier planned the Console Edition to Release before the launch of the final pack, something the console/switch editions of Planet Coaster and JWE historically did not do, so that us Planet Zoo fans would have something to talk about around the time we would be expecting a DLC normally. Might even explain the slight bugginess of the console edition at launch, development may have been sped up to meet the planned deadline.
I’d honestly pay for an exhibit animal expansion. They could totally do a butt ton of small mammals, aquarium animals, and small birds using the exhibits and walkthrough exhibits.
My top three are: 1: green sea turtle 2: musk ox 3: Atlantic puffin (yes Im classing the turtlr as semi aquatic - they do lay eggs on the beach. If frontier can give us koalas that don't climb, and birds that don't fly, we can get turtles that live on land)
I can't get any more vocal about how much I want birds in any way, shape, or form. People are already modding hummingbirds into the game! How much more must we beg?
I know this sounds kind of lame but I really want a Farm Animals DLC, and a working petting zoo where guests could give food to the animals and it would be enrichment for some animals. I also need more cranes and herons. Oh and the Alpaca
I still just hope that they now see (with a lot new players now after releasing this new version) that ending the support would be a very bad decision. And that they keep continuing the support for another few years (with updates and DLCs).

When the steam dB updated for JWE2 again and the console dlc bundle got announced for May I knew they were going to do back to back to back releases to maximize profit. Also the stream announcement was a no brainer. People should have that one coming.

If we will get fully aquatic animals and active-flying birds, I would love to have the West Indian manatee (Trichechus manatus), the Andean condor (Vultur gryphus) and the harpy eagle (Harpia harpyja).
I expect another aquatic dlc with: walrus, australian pelican, manderin duck, canadian goose, nile crocodile, Eurasian spoonbill and white stork and signal crayfish as exhibit animal.
I think we SHOULD have at least two more dlcs... an animal pack, which I would like if were a Latin America Animal Pack, and the lasf pack could be a mix between animal and scenery pack which could be World Pack, something like this
The walrus, the king cobra and the musk ox are the only three animals left that I feel like are conspicuously absent from the game. The tundra/Arctic roster feels incomplete without the walrus and the musk ox while India feels incomplete without the cobra. It's always felt strange from launch back in 2019 that the cobra was left out since Frontier added decorations for it as part of the base game, an African rhino was the only other animal that felt noticeably absent at the time and both species ended up being added as DLC. I'm still disappointed it was left out of the last pack since it would've paired perfectly with the sloth bear as another Indian species.

It's not enough variety. This is all ungalates minus the exhibit animal. Admittedly a diverse group, but of your choices, the tapir is the only non Bovid, and 4 of your choices are even the same sub family. You're also short an animal at 7 so I'd revise it to something like this: Wild Yak Big Horn Sheep OR Argali Markhor Pallas's Cat Spectacled Bear OR American Black Bear A marmot species L'Hoest Monkey aka Mountain Monkey Bogong Moth This feels more realistic to me. I love ungalates and mountains have some good ones but the animal packs are generally pretty diverse
1 manatee, I need it so badly 2 i’m still reallly really hoping for walkthrough exhibit birds 3 maybe some smal, exhibit fish, i now it isn’t realistic, but i am really really hoping it will happen
I agree the new pack is likely going to be bigger than the usual 8 animals. Like maybe between 12 & 20 animals. It’s also probably going to be a little more expensive.
I would prefer them to improve in toys for the animals and how they climb etc. Mods can do the rest really. I want them to improve on the actual game play

If flying birds do get added in planet zoo, I guess we’ll have more of our highly requested animals in a sequel.

I have a hunch that we we will get the next and our last dlc on the end of May or I'm the beginning of June. Or maybe in the end of this month.
