    Hi can you guys help me. I'm only 16 but for about 2 years I've been getting dizziness, migraine headaches, severe memory and thinking problems and extreme brain fog. My head feels very unsteady/unstable and wobbly and I struggle to keep my head up. For instance, at school when I sit up my head sways back/forth or side to side because of this I have to rest my head on my hands. My neck is also in pain and is very stiff especially the muscles at the back of the skull. When my neck is in pain pressure builds up around my head and I also get short of breath and my heart starts beating super fast which makes me even dizzier.

    Is it normal to have so much pain after the prolotherapy injections? It's been a week now. Injections were put into my left lower back above SI joint. And yes my pain has been there a very long time. It's just so frustrating that the treatment causes so much pain as well while I've lived in constant chronic pain for so long.

He did massage therapy once a week, a TENs unit on it all the time, can't remember what else. But it healed. I've had frozen shoulder multiple times both sides. Had ozone injections--it helped not 100% but lowered the pain. Ozone no side effects. Watch out for that dextrose. All the Regenerative Drs like to use it. PRP is better but more costly. • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 роки тому

      Hi Cristobal Roig, Thanks for your question. Sorry to hear that you are still experiencing the pain after 6 months. Sometimes it does take a while for our bodies to repair after a significant injury. Prolotherapy works along with your body's natural healing mechanisms, usually requiring around 4-6 total treatments and those are given approximately 1 month apart. It is usually used after an injury becomes chronic, after 3 months, but sometimes people do not learn about it for years later. Although, Prolotherapy can be used for appropriate acute injuries as well as chronic. Many people begin to feel some difference after the first treatment and in more severe cases it may take a few before feeling significant improvement. We wish you all the best in your rehab program. If you feel that you'd like our help at our SW Florida center in the future, feel free to reach out for a more detailed case review. Happy New Year!

      Hi jennyal, Good question, it is not dangerous for patients with diabetes just because it uses a dextrose solution. However, the doctor should look at the whole health of a person because if they are too unhealthy, this is not likely the recommended course of treatment. We have had success treating patients with controlled diabetes. But just like any medical treatment, a proper exam and review of the case and discussion with the patient is needed to determine the ideal treatment plan.

    How long prolotherapy procedure and how long will it treat the pain?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 роки тому

      Hi REGGIE - The treatments themselves take only a few minutes, and usually people need somewhere between 3-8 depending on the case. Our goal with regenerative medicine is to optimize long-term effectiveness, so we aim to get people to a point where the tissue is strong enough so they can work and do all of their activities without pain-related restrictions and they just go on with their lives and not need to keep coming back. If there is a new injury years down the road, they can always get another round of treatment to that new injury. But otherwise, Prolotherapy is not meant as an ongoing treatment for most people the same way cortisone or hyaluronic acid or botulinum toxin injections are used. Hope that helps. Take care.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Asit Purohit, Yes, Prolotherapy is the treatment for injured/degenerated ligaments. A lot of people are told they have scar tissue, but either way it is not usually the primary reason for pain, in our experience. We do have injection treatments for scars themselves. But for most joint-related pain, it is because the ligaments never fully healed from an old injury or have been under slow, continuous stress called creep, and therefore, have lost their structural integrity to support the joint.

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  3 роки тому

      Hi Dre, Very sorry to hear about your neck spasms. Our approach to this condition is to look for areas of cervical spine instability from ligament laxity that are then triggering the muscles to spasm, as it is the body's protective mechanism for the vital nerves, etc that run through the neck. We use motion scanning like digital motion x-ray, and others, as well as a thorough physical exam to determine the reason for the spasms/dystonia. The treatment to restore ligament strength and cervical spine stability that we specialize in at our office is called Prolotherapy. Here is a video on it and we have many other videos and webinars that detail our approach to these cases: ua-cam.com/video/hsiJtz0uvv0/v-deo.html
      If you would like to possibly be seen in our neck center, please feel free to reach out to our team directly for a detailed case review and we can see if you sound like a good fit for our clinic. We wish you all the best in health and recovery!
