I just got diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia. I've been on antibiotics for almost 2 years. Had my wisdom teeth out, then root tip went into my sinus. Got the tip out last year. Finally the ent doctor said quit the antibiotics. Did a cat scan. Doing a brain mri next week. Most painful thing I've been through. On my left side.

I get occasional painful nerve related sensitivity of the skin on my arm or head, face, and neck (assuming that's neuralgia) and definitely have some instability issues, but have never connected it to my joints! My sons, on the other hand, have TMJ and Chronic Trigeminal Neuralgia, and what you have said makes total sense.

I believe my amazing Chiropractor saved me. I do take tramadol and Baclofin and have been pain free for 4 months. Lost 60% of my hair 😢from the drugs. This is the best explanation and help I've seen yet! I just started getting it in Jan 2020. It's awful. I have been saying for a long time it was neck associated. My doctor finally approved for me to get an MRI of the neck. I have TN1 and TN2 bilateral. Loss of hearing and constant ear ringing just on my left side, coincidently Jan 2020, imagine that. Thank you for this video!!!! I'm hoping after the MRI we can find the cause and get relief.

Funny, I'm not a Dr. but at 18, I had gotten hit from behind...my whiplash didn't start for a year, it started a pain that was paralyzing nerve wise. They would give me muscle relaxers and I couldn't move for about 10 days. Back when the accident happened I additionally had a second neck injury at work. About 8 years or so later the nerve pain subsided but then TMJ started. I also have ringing in the ears and I always am aware at the base of my neck c123 area that that is where all this is derived now I am having trigeminal neuralgia on the right side of my face with left jaw pain. It's like you just described my personal medical issue. Thank you doctor for giving me a starting point. Excellent video and gives me a starting point with doctors

No chiropractor will see my mom due to get previous stroke :(
    CAN SHE??????
My mother had a pontine stroke.. craniotomy on the occipital lobe, shunt, and developed trigeminal nerve pain on the Left side of her face (V1,2 and 3) about 5 months post stroke (when she was fitted for new dentures) she favors the right side, so head leans towards the right side, due to some L side neglect... Therefore constantly stretching that left side..
A curve of the neck is noted even without an x-ray.. during craniotomy neck was cut..
This all makes so much sense!!!!
She does not get pain when touched.. it's when she's just sitting or during OT or PT therapy and worst in the morning when she wakes up .
She got Botox to relax muscles of the jaw 2 Weeks and is on gabapentin.. so far this is working too reduce pain by 90%
However, after watching this . I feel like we are literally not getting to the root of the problem..

Sadly, it took me 3 years to get diagnosed and 7 years for them to find my Neuro vascular compression(s). When I was first diagnosed in 2002 at age 35, it wasn’t well known. I got very lucky and had an ER doc that diagnosed me in 5 questions after 3 years of seeing dentist, oral surgeon, etc.. I had a balloon Rhysotomy in 2002 on the left side that lasted 3 years and I am no longer a consideration for MVD as I have had 2 heart attacks at 36 & 40th old😞
They have since found that I have compressions in BOTH sides (found at Duke in 2014). I was also initially diagnosed with MS because of it but after getting a 2nd opinion, they said they I do NOT have MS.

Peripheral Nerve surgery cured my Occipital Neuralgia (no pain since 2012) but didn’t help my TN2 much. That was years prior to TN2 showing up.

From what you are saying, this can be caused from bad disc in the neck?
I’ve had throat cancer, I’m a total neck breather, all the muscle was removed from my neck. I have had bulging disc in my neck, the disc are bad. I’ve ask my doctor if this could be the cause of my TN, she said no. But from what you are saying, it could be?

I describe mine like dental freezing wearing off sometimes mine last 3 mins the worst I had was it lasting a long 7 hrs. I thought it was issue with the dental (saw the dentist there was no issues there) But I did have a face trauma back in April 2022 (landed face first) Note this isn't the first time I fell on this side of my face (first time I was 14 when I tripped over a hose and fell down concrete stairs) The pain omg I wish it on no one. I am on day meds (Baclofen)and night meds (Tegretol) I find sometimes the meds don't help so I end up with an ice pack for comfort (even to the point sleeping with the magic bag to my face). (from back of my right ear, into my cheek, temple, upper and lower right side of my lips only) never touches left side. I get zaps in my upper/lower lip. (Thankfully hasn't affected my sight yet) I do notice swelling when it hits me. I also notice it when chewing (my upper lower lip right side zaps)

I’ve been diagnosed since 2003. I am now in chronic with an updated mri. I’ve never had a mri this bad. Usually it showed acute symptoms shows past now it’s not. I have diabetes type two, one kidney , itp blood disorder. I’m limited to what I can have. Have been taking stuff I shouldn’t. I wear dentures now. I hate it. I’ve had to pull my last two dental implants. Not me my dentist. He said neither one wanted to come out. I’m certain that’s when things flew open. I can’t even handle a sound of a crying baby and or the sound of my electronic tooth brush. I have exact symptoms as your representing. I have neck problems as well. Per my mris on all I have type two Tri geminal neuralgia. I wear Baja in bone e
Hearing aids as well. I’ve been diagnosed with tmj. Right side.

I was dx with first TN then ON and it is unclear which i have however the pain is searing level 10 And it feels like an electric cattle prod electrocuting me into my brain into the back of the left eyeball. The pain is constant lasting 30 - 40 hours hours at a time and i have no idea what brings it on- anything come to mind? I would love to book an appointment. I dont have tmj but i did have traumatic injury to the neck and i broke my neck in 2011 followed by two major reconstructive surgery. Of all the pains this neuralgia into my eyeball is 100% disabling.

I just did a nerve ablation c1,c2,c3,c4 , as I started having trigeminal neuralgia episodes 5 years ago, my latest episode started last August and then went into an occipital neuralgia episode. ( 10 months of pain now) I can't lay down without pain. Not sure if the ablation is going to help me.. it's only been 3 days and thus far I'm not seeing a big improvement. ( they say it can take weeks) we will see. If I don't start getting some relief you may be seeing me. It's no way to live.

Wow…do we realize that all of thisnis manageable, easily, with manual therapy? Aka bodywork? Along with proper strengthening and stretching and breath-work?

    • @CaringmedicalProlotherapy
      @CaringmedicalProlotherapy  Місяць тому

You are right - there are so many things that we can do in our lives to help with our health and wellbeing! However, when there is instability, regeneration must occur for healing to happen. Those lifestyle changes can definitely have a positive impact and combat some symptoms but degeneration will continue to occur if nothing is done about it.

@@CaringmedicalProlotherapy Hm...what I have noticed is the tissues regenerate naturally, the same way they manifested in the first place...my friend, I know from experience...see my channel for evidence..I have worked with many people and seen all of these symptoms disappear in a single session with only manual therapy and breathwork. I am developing a 'headloading' protocol as well, which will even put classical physicians and bodyworkers like myself out of business...for 200k years, we walked with loads on our heads...then we got running water, and it has been a disaster for our functions of head/neck. The head is the 'palace of the jing' and loading it has provided such wide-ranging benefits, I can't begin to describe here in comment.
